MAE gave me a bid and I told them to get the work scheduled. I realize this was a small job and it had to be "worked in" around large projects. It was about five months before the project got started. Once started, it was finished in a fair amount of time and I have no complaints about the work. The crew did a good job of calking and the area is all ready to paint when it gets warm enough. The charge was exactly what was agreed upon and I wouldn't hesitate again to call on Mid America Exteriors.

We had Mid America replace windows in the front of our house. We had some termite damage and wasn't sure what would be involved until the walls were removed. They repaired all the damage and things look great. Even though it was a very trying experience for me, I must praise Mid America for all their help on this project. Mid America did extra things along the way with no extra charge. They worked so hard and long.They also did the finish work on our basement window and it looks wonderful.We appreciate them so much for the way they handled everything and we would definately use them again.

Very professional and prompt. The salesmen knew the product and the process very well. he did an excellent job explaining details and differences. He went out of his way to be available, completing the quote on a Saturday evening to accomodate our travel schedule. The crew was prompt, polite and professional. The work area was cleaned and organized throughout and every evening it did not look like any work was ongoing. They worked around 4 pets in the house in a fashion that was very professional. We did not have to worry about them.

We went with Mid America due to the excellent service and quality of the product. We had such a great experience when our patio door was installed that we didn't look anywhere else when we needed windows. The windows and doors fit perfectly and are very easy to operate.

They were on the job for about a week and a half or two weeks, and we were very satisfied with them. We used Hardy Board and the house was built in 1976 so we only had half of the house done. They were on time, they did a very good job, they were meticulous and they made sure everything was done right so I wouldn’t have trouble later on. They advised me on how to take care of it.

I haven't decided whether or not I am going to use them because we are going to do estimates from a couple of other companies. The interaction worked out pretty good. They have done the job for the neighbor behind me. I saw them out, working on replacing some rotting siding on the chimney section of the house. All these houses in this area are plagued with the rotting siding, where the construction of the houses was done a little bit imperial in that area. My neighbor had some work done behind and side of their house. I saw these guys out there, so I asked the cost to get something done like that. The guy who came out in the afternoon went around the back of the house, and he looked at it. He wrote up an estimate on the spot, and then he gave it to me.

THEY WERE HERE WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD BE, AND COMPLETED THE WORK ON TIME. THEY DID SOME EXTRAS, SUCH AS REPLACE TRIM AT NO COST. THE INSTALLERS WERE FRIENDLY AND EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND THE USE AND CARE OF THE PRODUCT. NO SUPRISES. THIS COMPANY ALSO DID OUR SIDING 6 OR 7 YEARS AGO, AGAIN I HAD NO PROBLEMS THAT THEY DIDN'T TAKE CARE OF. I WILL USE THEM WHEN I REPLACE THE REST OF OUR WINDOWS.

We had to have the lower pieces of our siding replaced on both sides and back of our house and also the siding on our fireplace due to wear and tear. Mid America sent a rep out to give us an estimate. It took about five weeks from the initial visit for them to come out to replace the siding. My husband and I could not be home while the did the repairs. If there were any problems they encountered, they called us and informed us. They stuck to the contract when it came to the estimate. There were no surprises. The workers were very friendly and professional.

Doors
We would not use them. We had tried with them a year ago and thought we would give them a second shot. The experience was horrible. The first go around they never showed up and the second time she came and already had the door she wanted for us already written up and quoted. She never took the time to listen to us or show us the quality of other things. She was very matter of fact that this was what we wanted and the route that we wanted to go. All of the things we wanted could not be found and if it were, it would be nothing but problems. We went to another company and purchased everything that we wanted. Their price would be an affordable price if someone was totally interested in price. Their quality is not near the quality of the door that we got.

This was painful and took a long time to complete but that was only because of our insurance company, Travelers, who initially lowballed the bid for repairs. MAE's rep. Jake Walter really went to bat for us and helped us convince Travelers to pay to make our house look the way it did before the hail storm of July 8, 2009. I don't think that other siding companies would have taken the time or persevered. As it was, they started on our house in late November. They finished March 9th. It was a very cold winter and they were out here working on the house even in really cold weather.

The salesman said they had a specialized crew to install the products we selected. He told the truth. Our installer did an incredible job, there are very few seams. He came up with attractive options that we had not considered before, such as installing a narrow contrasting vinyl molding to break up a wide expanse of horizontal trim between the two main floors. This company is excellent! The house looks great--like it's wearing a tuxedo and I know we can live with this siding for a long time.
