We had a table that we bought in May 2007. It was a pretty expensive table and very sturdy. We also purchased a 5 year warranty on the table. We put a warranty request in last year just before the warranty was up. We were delighted to find that they were going to replace the table with a brand new version of the same model. We received the table in May 2012 and there was a few minor issues that were fixed. Fast forward to about seven months to February. We just found a huge safety issue with the table. The manufacturer has changed the way they made the table and has cheapened the way the legs fasten to the table. They are using wood glue instead of screwing it in. We noticed a wobble the other night and immediately were concerned. We called Room Makers and they had to call the warehouse and call us back. Today they said that unfortunately there is nothing they can do without us paying for service for them to come back out ($69.95 + $$ for fixing the leg). This is to fix the safety issue and shoddy workmanship in the replacement table that wasn't there in the original. I asked for the original table back and explained very clearly that we would not have accepted the replacement had we known that the quality was not the same as the original. I understand at some point as a business you need to draw a line, but when it is a safety issue with a replacement on a warranty and it's been less than a year, that seems very reasonable. Manufacturer warranty should be free from defects for one year. Take a look at the video showing the safety issue: http://qik.com/video/57229345
