We had our transmission replaced one year ago by Randy's Auto Service. At that time we chose to replace with a Jasper rebuilt transmission due to the three year 100,000 mile guarantee. Randy's had told us there was an extended guarantee that could be purchased and we did do that since we had planned on keeping the vehicle for a long time yet. The transmission had a problem just over a year later which was covered by Jasper and didn't cost us any additional charges. The extended contract even paid for a rental car for the time our vehicle was in the shop. I would say this review is for both Randy's Auto Service and Jasper Transmissions.
Randy, Rodney and Rubin have always given us great service, reasonable rates and excellent customer service! They call during the repair to keep you aprised of the progress and if any other problems are identified. I would recommend Randy's Auto Service to anyone.
I read another review about the use of Randy's and they were given a "B" on price due to using the most expensive part. My experience is they usually ask you what level of part you want to use.

After my vehicle had begun making loud noises I had taken it to another shop in Pittsburg and gotten a diagnosis and estimate over $800. I took it to Randy's to get another opinion and they discovered a faulty starter with an uncommon problem. The mechanic called me several times to keep me notified of what was going on and within an hour of figuring out was wrong had fixed it. They included the manufacturer warranty on the part plus the shop has a one year warranty on the labor. The only reason I gave a "B" for price is because they used the highest quality replacement starter (I didn't mind) but was probably twice as much as a decent replacement.
