I needed a new HVAC system. I obtained 3 bids and chose Neal Harris Heating and Air Conditioning . The Sales Rep, Jim Lewis was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He listened to my wants and needs and I especially appreciated the fact that he did not try to "hard sell' me on something I didn't want or need. He made reasonable suggestions based on his experience and expertise. Customer service is a lost art but the Neal Harris crew, Alfonso J and Matt S. #206136 restored my
confidence in the fact that all is not lost. There are still professionals in business that value customers satisfaction. The crew arrived on the date and time promised and immediately got to work doing what they were called to do. They worked in what I felt was an efficient and knowledgeable manner. I also had a new thermostat installed. Alphonso was patient and informative with any questions I had. They were sincerely concerned with my satisfaction when the work was completed; and I was. They thoroughly cleaned up after the work was completed. I was impressed today and I highly recommend the Neal Harris Company.

Matt S and Alfonso J (#1307), did a great job installing Furnace and A/C, they cleaned up the area well and removed the old unit. Jim Lewis, sales consultant, answered my questions completely and brought me a portable A/C unit to use for a few days before install of new unit.

Installation went very well. The technicians, Derick Jones and Alfonso Johnson #205401, arrived at the scheduled time. They were dressed in clean uniforms, were courteous, and knowledgeable. They placed drop cloths on carpeted areas to protect carpet from damage. After the installation was complete, they ensured the installation areas were clean and free of debris. Before leaving, the technicians showed me how to use the various modes of the new programmable thermostat. At no time did they make me feel rushed (or that they were rushing to get to another job).

Lora, technician number 205600 was very professional and courteous. She arrived on time accessed the problem and notified me of my options and the cost of the different options as well as what she suggested needed replacement now versus what could wait. She ordered the parts and was there to fix our unit the next day. Thanks to Neal Harris we are back up and running with AC. Thanks for your help. I will recommend you to my friends when they need any AC service.

I've been a maintenance contract customer with Neal Harris for, well, decades. For this maintenance visit, Lora was on time, professional, and gave good advice concerning recent dampness in the basement due to the rain-a-thon here in KC. Quite frankly, I was surprised AND excited that Neal Harris employs women in positions such as this. (I'm sure Lora thought I was off my rocker when I opened the door and gave her a huge grin. Kudos to Neal Harris for employing folks who can do the job, regardless of gender, race, etc.) Lora met all my expectations as Neal Harris has throughout the years. Lora was personable, knowledgeable and liked my cats (big plus! She didn't need to address my cats, but did, obviously liking them). I'll continue to recommend Neal Harris to folks who ask for referrals. I have always felt that they give me advice that is right on and don't take advantage of me. Their technicians have been great about showing me what they are doing, how my systems work and advice for the future, without a full court press.
The week before this visit, my A/C was out (chipmunks chewed a wire) and it took several days to get someone out due to the immense volume of folks who had the same issue. I'd like to say a special thank you to Hannah, who contacted me to explain what was going on. I'm sure she had her hands full with a lot of disgruntled people, but she was professional and thankful when I was able to compromise.

They came to repair my AC because it was not working. My thermostat was the root of the problem, it needed to be fixed. The first tech that came out stated it would be $300, but the second tech (Jeffery, employee #205252) that came out stated I should not have been charged since I have a service plan. They are in the process of returning my money.

Technician's name is Jeffrey (#202467). Jeffrey was knowledgeable, courteous, helpful and thorough. He sat down after performing the maintenance and went over the details with me. He made suggestions regarding options that would help my system for quality and life of my furnace and air conditioner. I am very pleased with the service provided and will request Jeffrey in future.

The service person arrived promptly and determined that the furnace's problem was caused by a broken fan control board. The furnace fan had been running continually but the burners would not light. He had the needed part in his truck. He retrieved and installed it and this repaired the furnace. The total bill was $505 - $406 for the part plus a service fee of $99. The part replaced was the 48K98 Lennox BCC3 Blower Control Circuit Board. This board can be purchased for under $70 on Amazon.com. Charging a price of $406 for the part represents a parts mark up of almost 500 percent. This is simply not something that I would wish to repeat, which is why I do not plan to request the services of Neal Harris again. We could have purchased the part elsewhere and installed it ourselves, but our 93 year old mother lives in the house and we needed to get the furnace repaired immediately during a period of very cold weather.

As usual, my Neal Harris service technician (this time it was Jeffrey 200586) called ahead of his arrival and showed up on time. He conducted a thorough check of our air conditioning unit inside and outside. He answered my questions about the best settings for humidity control. He checked the function of our current carbon monoxide detector and made a recommendation to add 2 more on additional levels of our house but did not push (that is, no "hard sell"). This is our 4th or 5th year with a Neal Harris service contract and we are consistently pleased with the technicians for their knowledge, thoroughness and punctuality. The price of this call was mostly for the replacement filter.

Per usual, I was overjoyed with the Neal Harris experience from start to finish. The technician who arrived, Jeffrey, was a great fellow. He was very friendly and patient with me when I asked questions about our unit and didn't get overly technical with his responses. He even offered some tips to ensure that everything would run like clockwork between seasonal visits! He also made positive comments about the company, which I thought was extremely admirable.
