On 10/2/14, I went to the Cap Fed branch location in Prairie Village Kansas. I inserted my Cap Fed issued ATM card into their ATM and entered the PIN and selected an account. The screen then gave the word "waiting". After 5 minutes I asked an employee why the ATM wasn't responding. Even the cancel key would not work. The employee told me the ATM had just been serviced (its loaded with cash on Thursday mornings about 11:30) and the service tech would not be back for 1 whole week. They tried to call him to have him return, he had just left. When I stopped by later in the day I was told it was a "computer glitch" and I would have to wait an entire week as the service tech would not be back until next Thursday to unlock the ATM. However the ATM was working again and people were using it. This is the Corinth Square Hen House location. Obviously this is Cap Fed's technical issue, yet they are unwilling to help a customer get his ATM card back. I will have to wait a week. I used to be a Cap Fed stockholder, I am going to buy more stock and vote the "customer unfriendly" management out.....

It is sort of a local banking company. It is a state agency and I just like that.

The thing that I appreciate the most about CapFed is that they do not sell their mortgages to other companies (the root of some of the country's current economic problems). I know that CapFed owns my house, not some scummy company somewhere. We took out our mortgage in 1999 and since then have refinanced twice with CapFed. I have found them to be very reliable, and very helpful and patient as I ask my many questions. When we buy a new house in a couple of years, we will definitely use CapFed again.

LOTS OF DIFFERENT INFO. EVERYONE GAVE US A DIFFERENT ANSWER TO QUESTIONS REGARDING MORTGAGE PMI, CLOSING COST, ETC.

SHERRI TROTTER WAS VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING MY DIFFERENT LOAN OPTIONS AND HELPING ME FIGURE OUT WHICH WOULD BE BEST FOR ME. SHE WAS ALWAYS QUICK TO RETURN PHONE CALLS. THE CLOSING WAS WITH LINDA GOMERDINGER. SHE WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL, TOO.
