I emailed, called and left message to the company 3 days ago trying to make an appointment for Radon mitigation, but didn't get any response. Is this company still in business?

Jim with Advanced Radon of Kansas City came out and estimated the job to mitigate the radon in my house. His bid was more reasonable than the other company that I got a bid from, and he was more willing to put the system in a location that was not noticable, even though that required more work on his part, and it was a tight fit. We had a passive radon system installed while our home was being built. Had "another radon company" come out and install a fan on the passive system and follow up testing showed rather high levels of radon still present in the basement. For another fee he offered to install another system under the garage slab. I had a feeling that wasn't the issue and I didn't want to keep throwing money at something that wasn't going to solve the issue. So I got on Angies list and called Jim! I told Jim what the situation was and he came out the next day to take a look. He actually took the time to understand the situation - not just give me a bid on the additional system I was told I needed. He checked SO MANY things the other guys never bothered to look at! I was so happy with every aspect of his service and really can not thank him enough. He was able to locate the source of the radon coming into the basement, and fixed it without having to put in an additional system! We re-tested with results of nearly zero in the basement. A+ service all the way!

After getting some disturbing results from several radon testing devices, we decided that it was time to call a professional service to fix the problem. We had already done as much as we could by sealing surfaces and openings in the basement and were still getting higher than recommended readings. Jim Holiday, Advanced Radon Services assessed our situation and recommended the installation of a mitigation system that would depressurize the basement floor and vent the radon gas to the outside. He worked with us to design a system that could be routed inside the house with only a small opening on an exterior wall. (Other houses on our street have very ugly exterior systems installed by other companies). After the contract was approved, he and his partner arrived on time and installed the system exactly as planned. They were respectful of our home and completed the job with minimal disturbance, cleaned up debris and removed it. An active monitor was placed in the basement and started showing dramatically positive results within one day. The five day average measurements exceeded our expectations as they were lower than what our research suggested could be reasonably achieved. All in all, this was a very positive experience.

Jim and his crew showed up on time as scheduled. Job was completed in about 3.5 hours. Very courteous and professional. System looks and works great. Very professional installation. I received at least 4 bids for this work, and Jim gave me a fair price for an interior system. Jim understands what it takes to ensure that the system is installed properly and provides the requisite ventilation. I would highly recommend Jim and his team -- quality work at a very competitive price.

Very impressed with Advanced Radon Services Jim Holiday. 90% of our basement is finished and Jim worked with me to find a great place for installation that is somewhat concealed. I literally asked 20 questions for the poor guy and he patiently answered each one. Install went really well and he cleaned up afterwards. Jim seems to be a genuinely nice / trustworthy guy. Our roof is black and he also painted the exterior piping black that exits the roof. My original radon levels in my house were 7.7 pCi/L and after install and four days of testing it is now 1.0 pCi/L and sometimes dips < 1.0 pCi/L. I'll recommend ARS / Jim to anyone who needs radon mitigation.

They did a good job. The work turned out to be good. They were clean and efficient. They showed up and did everything they said that they were going to do.

Jim came out and gave us an estimate. He also explained the process and discussed the best location to install. Jim also painted the fan on the external unit with house paint. It really looks great and if you did not know it was there, you would not even notice it. He also answered many questions for the future buyer of our home!

If there's any way we could give him an A++ rating here, we would. Jim did a fantastic job installing the radon mitigation system for us. He was prompt, very professional, honest and knowledgeable. Since our basement is 70% finished, the unfinished area that he could use to install the system was very limited. So in our situation, it was quite tricky to find a spot for the pipe to go outside the exterior wall that's effective, neat looking, and meeting the compliance level. There was an easy but ugly way to do it, which would definitely save Jim a lot of time and effort (and we would pay him the same quote he gave us). But he took the more challenging way just for us, and ended up spending a lot more time on it to make sure we have the system efficiently and beautifully installed. We also learned a lot from Jim about how Radon system works and how to monitor it. I can tell that Jim really cares for his customers. We really appreciate his beautiful work and would highly recommend him to all of our friends.

We spent $625 on that service and they gave me $25 off because I use the list and I thought that was pretty good. They scheduled the work the same day, showed up on time to do the work and cleaned up. The left the basement the way the found it and walked us through what they had done. They were very professional and efficient. I have told other folks about them and I would definitely refer their service to others.

When our house was inspected it didn't pass code for the city we're living in so they came out and added fire collars for no charge. The main thing is that they came back for two hours for no charge the second time.

We had our home tested for radon in the summer and learned that we had a very high level in the basement. The testing technician, who my wife knew through her real estate sales practice, suggested Advanced Radon for the mitigation work. Advanced Radon was prompt in responding to our request for an estimate. They had to wait for the weather to warm up before starting the work. They did all the work on one day over about 5 hours. I was impressed with the care they took in explaining the work they were doing and in planning out the system installation so that it would minimize aesthetic problems and avoid unnecessarily cluttering the basement or compromising our use of space. They also did a great job of cleaning up after the work was done. They also did post-installation radon measurements, and guaranteed that they'd make adjustments to the installation if the measurements showed unacceptably high radon levels. We were very pleased with the service and price. We would definitely recommend them to anyone.

When I called they were very responsive and called back quickly. They came out that day and gave an estimate. He was very personable and the quote was fair. The day the did the work they were on time and spent the day installing the pipes. They did a great job and would highly recommend this company.

We had 3 companies give us quotes for radon mitigation. 2 companies recommended external mounted systems and Advanced Radon Services was able to route the pipe from the basement and the fan is mounted in the attic. It is a very clean installation and our radon levels are now below 1. They explained how the system works and cleaned up after themselves.
