At the beginning of March, my husband took in our lawnmower for repair. Westlakes Ace Hardware Service center indicated that they usually did not work on lawnmowers but as it appeared it was a problem of a snapped cable, he could leave the lawnmower and they would order the part and replace it. He left the lawnmower with the understanding that the part would be available in about a week or at most two and they would then repair it. After a week my husband called to see what the status was. He was told the part had not come in yet. A week later, he called back again. He was told that the part was in and the lawnmower was scheduled to be repaired on Monday (that would be 3/19/2012). On Monday he went over after work to pick up the lawnmower. The service attendant on duty informed my husband that the lawnmower was not ready,but could tell him nothing else. He knew nothing about the part, the lawnmower, or when it would be ready. On Tuesday, my husband called again. He was told the part (cable) was NOT in. After explaining the on going delay. The gentlemen indicated he would take a personal interest. On Thursday, my husband called back yet again. He was told they had found a cable they could use, but it appeared another problem existed as well that they could not fix it. At this point, because of the age of the mower, he told them to keep it. They agreed to dispose of it. Note, that my husband was always the one calling for an update. That incorrect information was given to him more than once and that individual service representatives were unaware of what their counterparts were doing.
Description of Work: The repair was to be the replacement of a cable on a lawnmower. After weeks of having the lawnmower, the end result was no repair and a promise only of disposing of the lawnmower.

I've had very good luck with this particular store. In this case, a gentleman in their plumbing department was just incredibly helpful in getting me on the right track with rebuilding a toilet. Probably would've had to hire a pro if not for his assistance.
Description of Work: Needed several parts to rebuild a toilet. Got a lot of help with finding the right parts and getting an idea on how to do the repairs.
