The previous home owner had installed champion windows but did not replace two octagon shaped windows presumably due to the cost.  They are rotted and now definitely need to be replaced..  A salesman showed up on time, but performed no measurements of my house for siding.  He gave me an approximate bid of $25,000.  I think the whole process took about 2 minutes with absolutely no information about the product or the installation.  He informed me what I should watch the paper for a sale price.  I also pointed out a small plastic part on my existing champion windows needed to be replaced.  I would assume he would take the time to call and get me the part, however he just told me to call the office.  I told him I had several bids for that day, and he told me they would all be about the same.  I assume they don't really want to do siding right now??  Nothing in writing, no product brochures were provided.  I got a business card.

2 sales men came out they wanted to double team my wife , but I was there as well.... they told us their window was the best, and they foam around the window to seal it properly.  They started out with a quote for 13K then with discounts that would only apply on
this visit only they would give us a discount... which took it to about 11K then when we didnt jump on that offer there was a final offer of 10K... they gave us literature and we told them that we would contact them if we decided to go with them.
They were way too agressive for us and just a little arrogant.

The sales rep was very good.  He took a lot of time with us.  Of course they had the buy tonight offer but we don't do that.  We were still able to get that price because we met the salesman at the showroom so he wasn't missing any opportunities to sell to someone else.  So, we decided to get our windows from them.

The installers showed up early.  They did a very good job.  I was very happy with the installation job.

There were 2 things we needed to have fixed.  The screen on one window didn't fit right, and one window didn't open very easily.  A service person came out the next day and was able to fix the screen, but he had to order a part for the window.  It took 6 weeks to get the part.  It was a new design and they didn't have the part in stock.   I didn't pay the final payment until all was finished.

I hesitated to give them an A for responsiveness due to the time it took to get the issue resolved, but they responded quickly when I called to inquire about when I could expect the part, and came quickly once it came.

The sales people are extemely pushy.  I did not care for that aspect of the project.  Did not get exactly what I wanted because the sales person was not that great.  Jose did the installation and he did a wonderful job.

It was a positive experience. I first looked at a larger than normal door and I wanted a dogie door installed in the sliding glass door which is difficult to do. It's double paned glass and they did a good job of making the door and installing it. It was 50% off and there was a tax rebate for energy efficient doors and windows. I would say their price was lower than average.

From start, this company had no concept of sincereity, honesty or integrity. They took over 6 months for what should have taken much less time. Setting up Service call: They never addressed any service call on time. After repeated follow ups, you would be lucky to set up a time and be rest assured they will never show up on time. Quality of material: The alumunium skin started corroding in less than six months, they have never been addressed or resoved till date Quality of design. Lousy and terrible. Champion undertook concrete footings to build the lower sunroom. When it rains, we have water intrusion. After experimenting various options at my cost Duncan, Oswalt decided to blame it on the house and the layout. In short, it was my problem. After spending over 50K I realize that I have been duped with the lower sunroom unusable during rain. They screwed my landscape and I had internal damages to rug furniture because of water intrusion. Sure, every thing looked fine when duncan collected the advance from me Quality of crew who comes for service call Duncan has a crew who are capable of damages anything you have. My countertop was damaged and they let their insurance company pay a plea for damage. Unfortunately dealing with this company has been a very painful and futile experience. Honestly, I wish I had given it to charity. Please feel free to call me on my cell 973 687 3349, I will be more than happy to show you the damage, the deal I got

Everything is still working and there have been no problems. I had a couple of problems with the lock on the door and they came out to fix it at no charge. All the windows still work and I am very satisfied with their work. They did the job in the right way. I would recommend them. They were competitive in terms of their pricing. I had other bids and there wasn?t much difference between them and the other companies. They also gave me a discount. The foreman who came out did a quick job and I didn?t have to do anything. I had to wait a while after ordering the materials. I am very impressed and they did a good job.

I don't know what else to tell you other than their warranty and windows are performing great. Both my wife and I can tell the different with the weather we just had over the holiday. We don't feel the drafts of the cold against the window like our old one. I would definitely use them again.

Price - considerably cheaper then Anderson, Pella, and one additional company that provided bids. Some buyers remorse given all of the issues experienced. Concerns about quality of the install since issues have been discovered. Sales process is horrible - high pressure. This is the equivalent of buying a used car where we spent 4 hours with the sales person. Stated that the initial retail price was $29,000 but could offer a one day deal only. Dropped to $19K, $15.5K, and we countered with the final price of $12.5K. Install - courteous and professional however several issues during the initial install and subsequent issues discovered. On initial delivery, discovered that all of the windows on the first floor were measured incorrectly by 2 inches. They wanted us to use the windows and would offer a discount. We did not agree, talked with management, and they ordered new windows to replace. Later discovered wood rot surrounding two of the new windows. Resulted in 4 calls to company, discussions with division manager to get the windows fixed.

Contract signed on March 30, 2009. Project SEMI-completed on August 11, 2009. (Still awaiting caulking of some minor gaps, but we have paid so doubt we will see them again.) Began well but primary installer had different helpers/trainees that MIGHT show up, might not. Then the primary installer would not show up and we couldn't get anyone in the company to respond to us. When he did show up he would apologize and said had been called to another job. This happened way to often. My emails and phone messages to the Installation Manager to complain were NOT answered. I even asked in two of my emails to "please answer my emails"; still didn't. I contacted home office in Ohio and talked to Lance Keiser to complain of poor service and length of time taking to complete relatively small project. Within an hour the Installation Mgr in Kansas City, who had ignored my concerns, finally called me. (June 30th, nearly three months after contract signed.) I explained the construction errors that I wanted corrected, i.e.: The exit door was installed with the hinge on the wrong side so that it blocked the steps when opened; Screen wire was installed at two different angles (very noticeable); concrete footings poured but not finished, etc, etc. The dimensions of the room were to be app 13 feet wide by 19 feet deep. At a contract price of $19,000 this equated to app. $86 per square foot. When they had to cut it down to 17 feet deep because of city codes, (a reduction of 26 square feet) they would only adjust the contract by $300, when it SHOULD have been around $2,236 (26 sq ft times $86). Their justification? They gave me such a good deal in the beginning that they would lose money if they gave me more of a discount! My complaints about this, the shoddy work and the inordinate amount of time it took to build a simple 13 x17 screen porch (over three months!) earned me another $50 off of the final invoice. I am extremely disappointed with this company and would not recommend them to anyone.

The windows arrived when they said approximately four weeks after I placed the order. The install went well. They cleaned up after the install and the windows are great. Just wish they weren't so expensive. I would reccomend this company.

They did an okay job but they broke some of our blinds without telling us about it. They did offer to fix them afterward. I have hard feelings about the company because they felt that they had to hide the fact that they broke something. I wouldn't have felt the same if they had been upfront about it.

Overpriced and under built compared to what we found locally. Champion has a few models and options. Independent builder made us what we wanted for much less.

They were very fast and easy to work with. They are made to order windows so there is a little bit of lead time to manufacture. However, once they came in, it took under a day to replace all 21 windows and the sliding door. I like the fact that their windows come with a lifetime guarantee for both labor and parts. If I ever break a window for any reason, they fix it.

Visited the showroom and told them I needed a new door and they showed me their product. I got to see the product and look it over, talked with the salesperson and decided to sign a contract and make a down payment. The next week someone came out to measure and three weeks later the door was ready to be installed. I was responsible for removing the window treatments and moving furniture out of the way. The installer laid a tarp on the floor before beginning the work. After the install, it was found that the key lock would not work and, on both the inside and outside door handles, the finish was scraped off on a couple of spots. The installer said I would need to call the office to let them know of the problem. I called and informed them and a week and a half later they called and said they had the replacement door handle. The handle was replaced and everything now works. Nice door and looks great.

They were very courteous and helpful when we visited the showroom. We signed a contract and put down a deposit that day, and they said it would take several weeks for the windows to be manufactured and delivered. The windows actually came much earlier than expected and the work was scheduled within a week of that time. The installers were a father and son team that were very friendly and conscientious in their work. They did an excellent job on the installation and we are very pleased with the windows and the final outcome.

Company Representative scheduled in-home visit to sell benefits of Champion windows and provide estimate for circle top window and 8 other windows. Decided to only fix existing problem window (circle top), rather than all 9. Provided 20% down payment once signed contract for work. Estimated a 6-8 week lead time for manufacturing and delivering window. I followed-up when I hadn't been contacted to schedule the install after six and eight weeks. The window was delivered to the store after 9 weeks and was scheduled for install the following day. Everything went smoothly with the install and the window looks good and does not leak. Overall, we are happy with the quality of the window and the estimate/install processes. The price was significantly less than three other estimates that we received, yet we don't feel we sacrificed quality for a lower price.
