This is the second time we've had Chuck and his crew out to remove dying pine trees. Many of the trees in our windbreak have been affected by the nematode outbreak which is killing certain treesecies in the Kansas City area. On their most recent visit, Oct. 21, 2008, Chuck and his assistant removed several 20-foot-plus trees, the remains of a tree my neighbor and I had tried to cut, and gave me some advice on pruning our fruit trees. The job was handled quickly and efficiently in two or three hours. They cleaned up the area and locked the gate when they were done.

The experience so far has been great. He was very informative and patient and took me around to show me everything. He came out on time to give me an estimate.

I chose this company because of the impression I got. I thought the individual was knowledgeable. He did most of the overseeing of the work. He knew how to take care of the trees.

Chuck does great work every time. He had given me a bid on this tree last year, but couldn't get it on his schedule before the leaves dropped in the fall because he was so busy! So he came this summer, after it had leafed out again, and did it for the same bid he'd offered a year before. The tree is an old and very tall tree --Chuck did all the trimming work himself, then he and his assistant cleaned up everything neat as a pin.

I can not say enough good things about Chuck Bingham, not only was he on time to give us an estimate he came in a lot less than our expectations. He was quick to do the work, cleaned up after the work and even provided us a tremendous price on mulch for our front lawn. I would recommend Leawood Tree Service to anybody and everybody in need of any tree work.

Does the trimming himself, is very careful of the yard. Cleaned up every stick. Explained why certain areas needed to be trimmed, in addition discussed measures to maintain the health of our trees. Appointment was delayed due to needs of other customers to deal with storm damage - he kept in touch with us about that.

When I called, I left a detailed message stating that I had planted a tree 3-1/2 years ago and was now dying. I explained that I could be reached at my home number until around 2:15pm daily, as I worked an evening shift. I think 7 days is way too long a time to return a phone call.

Chuck Bingham returns phone calls promptly, arrives when expected, and cleans up meticulously. The price is always reasonable and exactly as quoted. He is also quite generous with horticulture information -- we always know more about tree culture and general gardening when he leaves than we did when he arrived!

Chuck gave me a mid-winter general idea of what work needed to be done on my trees, but some of the work will have to be estimated in the spring. One tree needed to come out completely, so he went ahead and did that work. He was prompt and professional and explained to me exactly what needed to be done. The work was completely quickly and the clean-up was thorough. He trimmed up another tree a little bit at no extra charge. I will definitely have him do the remainder of the work when the time comes.

Chuck did the work on the day he said he would. His bid was $100.00 less than the others. He worked within a tight area, pool on one side and a fence on the other. Had to climb trees to remove them one piece at a time. Also, removed additional limb not added that day.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Chuck was very professional. He came and gave us an estimate the day after I called, which was very reasonable. I signed the contract, and told him there was no hurry since there was still three inches of snow and ice on the ground. He came to do the work the next week, with snow still on the ground, but warming up. He told me the other company would be here on Monday to remove the stump. Everything was done quickly, quietly, and perfectly. I highly recommend Leawood Tree Service.

Chuck did a survey of my two trees. He gave me quotes for a full tree trimming, and for just enough to cut the trees away from my house and my neighbor's. I opted for the latter since I was unable to start the work before the trees lost their leaves. (Chuck seems to be in high demand, particularly during ice storm season.) My neighbor wanted the tree cut off at the property line, but that would make the gorgeous oak tree in my front yard horribly unbalanced. Chuck did a great job mitigating the problem my neighbors were having (acorns on their driveway) by cutting away from over their driveway, but still left the tree largely intact. I think he did a great job making both me and my neighbor happy. I also think they did a bit of extra trimming on the interior branches that was part of the "full trim" he recommended. I can't wait to see the tree in the spring when leaves come back!

Excellent work, as always (I have used him before). However, it is a small problem that he just shows up and doesn't call ahead. This time I waited two months, and when he did arrive, it was not a good time financially. (Other issues with not calling ahead could be the dog in the yard, etc.)

He did a very good job at a very economical price. He gave good advice and I will use him again.

Excellent work. He told me that I didn't need to do several things that I thought I needed, thereby saving me hundreds of dollars. He also did a great deal of extra trimming for no extra cost. I could not be more pleased with his work. His estimate was also lower than the other estimate I had received.

Chucks a busy busy man! But he is well worth the wait. We weren't in a big hurry to have the work done so it took a few weeks for him to get to us, totally understandable considering he does all of the work himself in the tree. Our tree looks wonderful, and every bit of the mess was cleaned up, even sweeping the street out front where they chipped up the limbs. I am very satisfied with his service, and wouldn't hesitate to give him a call again.

Overall the work was done safely and thoroughly and the property value of our home is enhanced by the work Mr. Bingham did, not to mention the life of the old trees.

Chuck Bingham (owner of Leawood Tree Co) was here in July & told me he would be here the last of September and he was. Great job. He told me what needed to be done. When finished, asked if I was happy with the work. Very personable man. Also very professional. Very reasonable price. Excellent job.

Chuck had already trimmed our apple tree earlier this summer, but now we're moving some lines over the yard. The power company said they needed more of the tree cut back to accommodate this, AND it had to be done in pretty short order to accommodate construction. I called Chuck on Friday, he called me back Saturday, came to have a look and do an estimate on Sunday, and did the job first thing on Monday morning. WOW! And here's the thing: Chuck told me that because of Angie's List, he's REALLY busy, totally booked up for this fall. Mine was a small job that took him only about 20 mins., but the fact that he worked me into his already full schedule is something I really appreciated.

What they did was that they came drilled holes in the tree and inserted pesticides to kill the bugs. I guess I just did not realize what was going to be done.

Vendor came out promptly for a quote last June. We agreed on a price and signed a contract. He provided a lot of information, including things I can do myself. Because of his busy schedule, the work did not get performed until September. Did a good job. Expensive, but better than losing a tree during the next snow or ice storm and incurring the expense to remove a dead or damaged tree.

He was very knowledgeable, and gave many great hints on how to take care of my trees and how to sharpen my chainsaw. He was helpful in many areas. I was very impressed.

He is very reasonable. It took a while to get him because he's busy. He's quite a bit cheaper than other companies. I would recommend him. He did a lot of work.

We called for an estimate on having the trees trimmed. He said he couldn't give us an estimate until the trees leafed out so he could see what was dead before trimming. We called back in the spring and he quickly gave us an estimate and gave us options on how to proceed if we didn't want to do the full project. He estimated when he could get to us and met that deadline. Cleaned up everything. A pleasure to work with.
