COMPETITIVE RESIDENTIAL

Charlie Brown was referred to me by the realtor who sold me my house. He gave me an estimate to repair several things before the sale. Afterward I had trouble getting him to show up to do the work. When he did finally show up he grossly overcharged me to replace two windows (I know that now after having worked with other contractors) and installed the cheapest possible windows. The windows he installed are very low quality, and the quality of the workmanship to install them is also very bad. I have had to hire someone else to re-do the work he did. Avoid this contractor at all costs.

Overall my experience with Charlie Brown (Competitive Residential) was terrible. This contractor was completely unreliable, unprofessional, and deceptive. After doing the estimate he promised me he would order the windows and have them installed in three weeks. Ultimately it took him two months. It took probably a dozen calls to finally get him to show up and do the work. He outright lied to me several times. He also asked me for a check and left without finishing what he said he was going to do. I had to look over his shoulder the entire time to make sure he did was he agreed to do, and I failed to completely check his work when he claimed to be done, so now I have to find someone else to finish the job. My honest advice: Stay far, far away from this contractor. He is exactly the kind that gives contractors a bad name.
