When asked how much would cost the replacement of the garage door spring, the man on the phone told me that the technician will need to evaluate the job on the spot. Fair enough. When the technician came, he determined that the spring would need to be replaced. That I already knew, that's why I called. I researched the average cost of spring replacement in my area. It's on average $175. The technician told me that a dual spring replacement would cost $350. I told him that this was a single spring unit, he then said that the price would be $250. I told him that I already got a quote through Yelp of $175. He then called his supervisor and he was authorized to do the job for $175. He replaced the spring quickly in about 20 minutes and the door works perfectly. My beef with these guys is that they tried to upsell and overcharge me and had I not protested, they would have gotten away with it. If you deal with these guys, hold your ground. If they don't adjust their price, go with somebody else. There are plenty of honest and trustworthy garage door service companies out there.

Tech lubed two garage doors resulting in quiet operation. However, lube dripped on floor and outside of doors requiring much effort to clean.

Our garage door would not open on a Sunday and my husband had to go to work. A1 came out promptly and took care of the problem. Technician explained everything and completed the task promptly. Would highly recommend them.

They actually were early!!

wasn't able to repair my garage door opener. Paid him for checking it out put he didn't have the part to repair. My husband said I paid to much, since he only stapled up the wires.

A spring broke on the garage door on Sunday. I called another company for an appointment on Tuesday. That was a no show. I went to Homeadvisors and found A1 Garage Door service. Danny came on time, explained my options, and did a great job with the installation.

Beware that they want to replace everything.

my old opener was in real bad shape. A1 has some really good deals on brand new openers, installed. Very happy with service, product, and price.

At first i just wanted a quote, but then convinced me to just have the guy come out & look at my system. The guy found a few looming problems and actually I'm glad to have taken care of it now rather than later.

When they replaced the door they then informed me that the opener needed to be replaced and I had to make another appointment, sounded suspicious but st that point I had no choice
