I discovered a leak coming from my furnace and soaking through my ceiling. My furnace is in my smaller attic upstairs. I put a bucket under the leak and called A & H. They were prompt and found out my condenser trap was busted so the technician replaced it. I thought we were done but that evening the leak was back and when I went to look it appeared to be coming from where the tubes from my furnace were attached to this new trap. Initially I was upset because one of the tubes was only tightened to the trap with a wire twist tie while the other one was clamped with the appropriate hardware. I called again and another technician came out and put a proper clamp on the one tube and did his best to tighten the other one. As a precaution I stuck the bucket back under the trap this time and when I got home from work there was water in the bucket. Not as much but still leaking. Anyway, I tried to get someone else out to fix it but wasn't successful so I figure I would try once more. This time it was fixed properly. I haven't had any leaking since the last visit. The two technicians were very friendly and knowledgeable. I was a bit disappointed in the first one when I saw the improper clamping but the second guy fixed it and now things seem to be good. The only other issue I had was the lady who I talked to the second time when it was still leaking. I told her I needed it fixed before it ruined my ceiling and that they would have to come around lunch time since I was already at work. She told me the dispatcher wouldn't be happy having to pull one of her guys from one job to do mine. I felt that was a bit rude and since they didn't do it right the first time figured they needed to work around my schedule. The dispatcher was very friendly however and didn't seem upset that I requested my lunch hour for them to come back out. All in all it has worked out and I am happy with the outcome.

Excellent experience. The air conditioner stopped working, and Jeff came to check it the day I called. He ordered the part that afternoon and installed it the following day. The people I spoke with on the phone and Jeff were all courteous, professional, and friendly.

A&H employee Todd Gribble was courteous, respectful of property, and installed the water heater with professional work. He explained the installation process and offered options for the kind of water heater I needed.  I have previously used A&H to install a new furnace and central air conditioner with satisfactory installation and reliable performance thereafter. Their employees have always been professional, courteous, and respectful of property.  I have used their service for over 10 years and will continue to do business with them when needed. Today they were able to install the new water heater the same day I called.

The service was performed without delay in the pouring rain out in the pasture. I had previously dug out the line with my front end loader but these guys pumped out the water, snapped in a new T (rubber) and augured out the line with a pipe snake. The weather was crappy (so was the job) and they worked into the night until the job was done.
I recently found some more issues with the plumbing in this older farm house and I didn't hesitate to contract them for the job. I recommend A&H for any plumbing job no matter how big or small on your property. Charles does a great job of keeping in touch and delivering superior customer service with professional grade work.

They promptly returned my call and got me scheduled right away. The tech was very prompt, polite and professional. Turns out I needed a new fan, so they ordered and installed one (which itself had problems, so they had to order another one). The "B" for quality is based on the quality of the part they got from Amana, not on the service they provided. The tech also checked my humidifier. I would definitely use this company again, and I am thinking about signing up for their service contract, which is $153/year for two visits to check my HVAC unit and humidifier and change the filters (I can change the filter on the unit myself but I've never been able to access the humidifier very well in order to change the filter.) The filters are included in the contract price.

than willing to answer truthfully, from my experience.  I have not had
any problems with our system so I do not know how well they do
repairs/installations, but they seem top notch to me from a maintenance
perspective.

Our furnace went out Saturday evening 2/9/13, we intentionally waited out the weekend as we didn't want any emergency rates and had space heaters to keep us warm.  I contacted A&H via Angie's list on Monday 2/11 and within 5 minutes of sending them the request, they called me to setup an appointment.  The earliest I was available was that Wednesday 2/13 so we set it up for 8am that day.  
The technician was about an hour late due to an emergency call he had to tend to earlier that morning, but once he arrived, he quickly diagnosed the problem as a blown circuit board.  He also took the time to educate me on the age of my furnace and the efficiency improvements found in newer models as well as ballpark costs for the newer models.  He was very polite and not pushy at all, and agreed that at 10 years old, our furnace was likely just over 1/2 way through it's normal life.  He estimated the bad board would be about $240 installed so I had him order one.  I also paid a small diagnostic/service fee at that time.  He called in the order while still in my driveway then came back to the door somewhat shocked as he discovered the part for my specific furnace was actually much higher than normal and would cost $500 installed.  I agreed to go ahead so he placed the order.
Later that afternoon after speaking with his office staff, he was not satisfied with the huge difference in the cost of the part versus what is typical so he called me up and said that he would deduct the diagnostic/service fee from the cost of the part/install as that was the best he could do to help us out.  I of course was more than willing to pay the full price, but was happy for the bit of relief.  I knew the part cost was out of his control.
The very next afternoon 2/14 he called up with part in hand and came out 20 minutes after I got off the phone and replaced the bad board.  It's been running great since.

The serviceman, Todd, did an excellent job. Very professional and knowledgable about plumbing. He came and looked over our situation. Called us back later with an estimate. We were very satisfied with the results.

I was surprised when my doorbell rang at 8:45 am. The plumber from A&H was here. When I called on Friday the woman who answered said they would call me back with a day and time for service. She never did. Todd was freindly, efficient, skilled and freindly. He did an outstanding job quickly and neatly. The price was fair and I will use this company again. I will definately ask for Todd however if he is unavailable I am sure they will send someone with his skills and abilities. A very good experience with this company for a first time use.

A/C installation
Mark and his assistant were punctual and mindfull of our time in scheduling the work and in meeting my expectations of cost and quality of HVAC units. He gave me two choices based on my needs. It was  a short time between when I decided on the unit to install and when he had the unit available. The quality of the installation was excellant and they explained their actions as they went.
Furnace installation
Shortly after they completed installation of the A/C unit, the Furnace exibited a previous malfunction. Mark came out and inspected the furnace for me. With the favorable results of the A/C unit in my thoughts I asked Mark to estimate replacement of the furnace.
I obtained the same service and support during the installation of the furnace as I saw when the A/C unit was installed.
I believe Mark and his team could help most perople needing HVAC assistance.

We called A&H after noticing our central air had stopped functioning. We called after hours, and the technician called us back within a few minutes, and was at our house less than two hours later! After several days of 100+ temps, the capacitor had gone bad. He diagnosed and fixed it within a few minutes. Also, despite the extra fees for being after hours, we still considered it a good value! We would have spent more than that at a hotel for the night! I have used A&H before for various things, and they're always fast, professional, and reasonably priced. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.

We have multiple Units for our home, 1st one had a compressor issue and was in stock and replaced. The next week, Our 2 year old Heat Pump had a minor Issue, under warranty, took care of it. Great Service Company

Teach was on time, professional and had a high level of ability

He did a nice job and was very nice. He was cordial and very helpful. I had no complaints and he gave me some valuable advice. I think the price was in the ball park of what people charge. I didn't feel like I was overcharged or undercharged. He got out here in a few days so that was good.

I have been really satisfied with them.  The price is very comparable and I will continue to use them in the future.

We have a yearly contract.  They come out during the spring and fall to do regular maintenance.  We have an appointment with them pretty soon.  I like the friendliness of the people that come out to our house.  They are very informative.  They help us with any issues or anything that we may be facing.  We had a problem with our boiler one time, and they replaced the thermostat.  We haven't had any issues since.  They are reliable.  We have had a pretty good experience with them.

I was very pleased with the service. Both servicemen were courteous and easy to talk to about what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. They also handled all of the warranty coverage work for us. My only reservation was the price, but it comes with the territory on geothermal units. 

They are honest and do very good work. They are not pushy and tell it the way it is.

They were great. They came out, did the job and took care of it. We are in a rural area and it is hard to get people to come in. I was very pleased. The price was very reasonable. I would hire them again.
