The flowers I ordered were not delivered to the St. Alphonsus Chapel as agreed to in the verbal contract. Two hour after the service when I realized the flowers had not been in the Chapel, I called the Zionsville Flower Company and was told the flowers had been placed on a table in the entry way of the St. Alphonsus Church .... because "the chapel door had been locked." Feeling as if I had to play detective, I made numerous calls back and forth to the church and florist. I found out the chapel doors are never locked. A florist representative later stated that they "didn't mean to say locked, but the chapel door had been closed" so the flowers were left on the table in the entry room prior to going into the Sanctuary. There had been a wedding scheduled within several hours of our service, and after the Memorial service the flowers were moved (by others not connected to my husband's Memorial service) first to another greeting room...and eventually to the fellowship hall. My husband's family, friends and I never saw the flowers that were sitting on a large table in the entry way of the church. I called the floral office on Monday morning, and the same gentleman that promised me the flowers would be placed in the chapel refused to even consider making an financial adjustment, because of my complaint that the flowers had not been delivered to the chapel as ordered. He finally said he "would call the church and call me back" and four days later...he has never called me back. I am so very disappointed and would not want others to have the same heartache that I have had to endure. My family and friends have encouraged me to let others in the Zionsville community know my personal experience and dissatisfaction of this floral company. If they make a mistake (from my experience), they will not correct or try to make arrangements to resolve the problem. I honestly can't believe that I have been treated so badly and am hurt that a floral company in my town of Zionsville, Indiana has chosen this path to treat community members so poorly in this time of grief. I have lived in Zionsville for over 34 years, and this type of service is truly unacceptable.

I walked on at about 5:35 yesterday... With a meeting in 10 minutes 2 doors down. You could tell that they were obviously putting together flowers for a wedding but were eager to help me and made me feel welcome right away. I like that this store wasn't decked out in nick nacks like most florists. They deal with flowers. Period. It was my birthday and I wanted to buy myself birthday flowers.... I pointed out a pink garden rose( I think that was what she called it) and mentioned a few other flowers I was find of. Told her I didn't want to spend more than $80. I picked out a cute vase that looked like a giant mason had with beads on it. Pretty cool looking. She was so accommodating and in no time whipped up this beautiful fragrant arrangement. Brought it down to where I had my meeting so I wasn't late. Service was incredible and even though it was probably an inconvenience and I rushed them, they were excited to make my surprise birthday bouquet and so friendly. Top notch!

I was told by a friend that Brian Davies was the new owner of the Zionsville Flower Company. I was told "I would never need to look for a florist again after I had seen the beautiful work he does".
I took over a partial payment and met his office staff. They started the order for me since the Blizzard of 2014 was about to begin. They were friendly, knowledgable, and profession. I called Brian and explained what I wanted and how I would bring the remainder of the money over the morning of the funeral. He listened to what colors, what "vision" I had and made suggestions of what he thought would work.
The morning of the funeral he spent several hours driving in the blizzard and picking up his staff. My husband took over (he is a better driver in the foot of snow and 5 foot snow drifts in the road) the balance and a card with the typed out names.
I saw the display when I entered the church that afternoon. It stood out as a warm splash of color and really a "work of art". It was the most beautiful arrangement I had ever seen at a funeral.
They say that "flowers comfort the family as a display of support and sympathy". This arrangement did that and more. I have enclosed a picture and it was taken after church members took out several of the flowers to make a memory candle.
My friend was right. I do not need to look for a florist again. Brian is the florist I will be calling.
