Bad. Bill did not tell us there would be a diagnostic fee. Then, when we decided to not use them based on their high estimate compared to others, they wouldn't release the car unless we paid them $45. When we asked why we weren't told there would be a diagnostic fee up front (many garages in our area do this for free), he said "You didn't ask." When we pressed the issue, he hung up on us.

That I thought they were honest and that their work was good.

We have worked with Bob for about 15 years and wouldn't trust our cars to anyone else. We had them do a thorough check of an older car to make sure there were no problems - we know that we can always trust this place not to recommend any unnecessary work!

They've done several things for me. It was reasonable. Their pricing always seems to be under what I would have expected it to come up to be. There were several things that I've tried to fix myself and ended up having to take it to them and they've ended up fixing it for a lot less than I could have guessed. I don't typically take my cars to shops. I usually do most of the work myself. So when I go into some place like that, I'm kind of surprised when the price is a lot less than what I think it would be. I've never had any problem with what they've done. Every time I've brought anything in, they've fixed it, had it done right away, same day, next day. They even drove me home once.

Bob's Garage was recommended by a good friend in Carmel. I had been delaying regularly scheduled maintenance and upkeep for the last few years. My dilemma was whether or not to put the money into the car or buy another one. I had a laundry list of thing I knew needed done and reviewed this with Bill the manager. After they looked over the car Bill walked me through everything I asked to be done as well as what they thought needed as. He provided me with a line by line estimate for parts and labor and we prioritized the work. To my surprise, the only engine work actually required was a tune up! Everything else was either long overdue maintenance or replacement of worn out parts (including new suspension, wiring and fuel pump). since then, the Jeep runs/rides great. ALSO, I received an email at the end of the year with a like to my complete itemized service history to review and keep for my digital record! I live on the west side and feel it was absolutely worth the driver to Westfield to have Bob's take care of my Jeep.

During a snow storm, I hit a patch of ice 3/4 of the way thru a roundabout. This caused me t slide sideways and hit the curb, breaking my aluminum wheel and bending and damaging some of the steering and wheel bearing components. Bob's Garage took he vehicle in and did an evaluation the same day. Parts were ordered the next day and I was able to get my truck back Friday before noon.

Bob's Garage is phenomenal--best auto service I have ever received, hands down. EVERY individual I spoke with there was knowledgeable, professional, friendly. I was updated on the progress of service, and all variances from the original plan. My car runs better than it ever has before. I will be taking all of my vehicles there for service, and I will be telling everyone I know what great people and service exists with Bob's Garage.

I replaced a clutch master cylinder myself but was unable to properly bleed the system, after 3 days and buying $50.00 worth of special tools I decided to let the pros do it. I thought they may come back and tell me because I started the repair using parts they didn't supply they may come back and tell me that they had to supply the part to ensure a successful repair, but they did not and bled the system and called me later that day telling me it was done. This is the 3rd repair I have had Bob's do on my vehicles and every time they fix it right the 1st time, and in all of my cases have been less expensive then I was expecting. I have been working on my own cars for over 30 years doing basic maintenance, but when I need something done that is beyond my capabilities or I do not have the equipment to do this is the only shop I trust.

We didn't have an appointment but because of the dangerous nature of the problem Bob took the vehicle in personally and looked it over. I appreciate his knowledge, experience, thorough work, and the quality of work. I would definitely use him in the future.

After finding Bob's Garage on Angie's List, I call and spoke directly with Bob. He was patient and understanding about the issue with my vehicle not running. As busy as they were late in the afternoon, he still took the time to take my calls a total of 3 times to make certain of what was going on and I completely understood. The conclusion came that they needed to see my vehicle in order to correct the problem. They recommended a tow company to use. The towing wrecker took my car to their lot. Norma was so nice in calling me once the vehicle physically arrived and let me know that they could get to my vehicle in the morning. I spoke with Norma in the morning and she informed me that she would let me know what was happening. Bob then called me to let me know when the vehicle was ready to be picked up. When I arrived, I was greeted by Norma, who explained that it was a pleasure to meet. I was able to briefly speak with Bob to extend my appreciation for his help. He then suggested that I check with my car insurance about getting reimbursed for the tow. (was included in my policy) This was a great experience and would get my recommendation. They are very honest and straightforward. They only had to correct a few things for my car to be in great shape again.

It was real subtle problem that he diagnosed and fixed. It just amazed me what he found and how he fixed it. It was very reasonable priced.

Quality of work was NOT satisfactory! Took to another garage (within 24 hrs.) and they confirmed the work was not done properly. This garage took care of re-doing the alignment for FREE. We have now found a new home for all future auto service needs! Phoned Bob's to discuss the poor quality of work. The son offered an $80 refund and told us to return for the money. First time returned only half of the refund was available. Returned a second time and unable to get refund as no cash was on hand. Returned a third time and this time the dad was there. The father belittled us, belittled our new mechanic and threw the remaining $40 in our face. We highly recommend you avoid this establishment with a ten-foot pole! Very unprofessional!

I have used Bob's now for over two years to keep a couple of the familiy's older cars on the road, without spending a fortune. I have found that Bob and Bill Esler are trustworthy and keep their word. Rather than taking the approach that many repair shops might take and replace parts and run up the bill, they are aware that some repairs are critical and those that can wait are not necessary. The shop is equipped with state of the art equipment and their technicians are highly trained to allow for efficient repairs. I highly recommend their business to anyone.

Even though my car is old, I love it and want to drive it for as long as possible. With Bob's expertise and experience, I hope to be driving my Accord at least 100,000 miles. I like having a detailed statements about work that

I had a coupon for a free oil change at Bobs and was amazed by service and cleanliness of garage. Also had clutch replaced there. Rates are A-1 and will use again.

Bob's is always professional. This time, I only had the synthetic oil changed in my new car. But, I've been to Bob's many times over the years for repairs to an a-frame, muffler, engine, A/C, electrical, brakes, . . . All work was professional and well done. On top of that, Bob and the staff are very friendly.

I brought my car in late afternoon, and when I started talking with one of the employees about my car they were very thorough, spoke to me in "plain english", which made it so everything was extremely understandable. They gave me options, instead of just telling me what needed to be changed. For example, instead of changing the radio antenna, they ended up cleaning it and oiling it so I didn't have to purchase a new one.

Norma was great in getting my car scheduled on the day I wanted. My car was ready for me as promised. I had used Esler's auto repair in Westfield for years; I started going there when Bob Esler owned it and continued going there after he sold it. Bob's son, Bill, runs Bob's Garage and Bob works there as well. I had such great service from Bob in the past at Esler's and am confident it will continue at Bob's Garage.
