WEAVER FURNITURE SALES

Weaver furniture is primarily a showroom for Amish made furniture. They have a pretty complete selection of what is available and have access to several shops that build to these patterns. We had bought Stickley furniture before this and found Weaver's product of comparable quality and lower prices. We visited the Shipshewana location and had the furniture shipped to Florida. We were told it would be about four months before it would be delivered. It was delivered when promised. It was exactly as expected and in perfect condition. This was the largest single furniture purchase I ever made and the overall experience was great. The salesman at the shop was knowledgeable and helpful (Mahlon) and the guy who delivered it (Simon) unwrapped it all and put it in place in the house. I would certainly buy from them again.

The furniture is all made by local Amish People. My chairs, table, and hutch were all made by different people. The furniture is just beautiful! They are very friendly. We have come to know them over the years, and they have come to know us as well. I highly recommend them. They do very good work. We had to make three trips to take our furniture home and they actually stayed open late to accomodate us!

Bought dining room table and chairs at Weaver Furniture Sales. They build and assemble all their furniture. We chose the stain and the wood, also the upholstery fabric. They were very accomodating. It took some time because it was custom-made, but it was done right on time, and they did everything they said they would. We had a particular salesman, he was very good to work with.

They delivered the furniture, and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them. The craftsmanship of the material is absolutely outstanding. It is very well put together and very well built.

They have this little habit of subcontracting parts or work that is warranted, if that business fails or shuts down, the Weaver family won't stand by the warranty. Of course they don't tell you this when they pitch the warranty program as part of their sale incentive. So be very careful when they tell you about a warranty program. We are very disappointed in the Weaver's as we now know that being Amish, Menonite or any other religion, their are still swindlers in business. Update: 25 Jan 12 I was unaware that the retailer provided a response and no one from Angie's List had notified me. It's true that the store offered a partial credit after repeated discussions and threats of civil litigation. The issue was one of SERVICE where the promise of warranty was the selling point at the time of initial sales. It was this marketing principle used by the company to push the sale but failed to stand by it whether their supplier went out of business or not. That is not the customers problem.
