They were prompt and professional in meeting me the day after the order was placed. The Angie's List price of $649 was increased to $750 based on the job estimate to remove 10 lombardi popular trees. They provided an estimate for $900 to remove the trees and grind the stumps. I accepted and gave them a check for the $250 dollar difference (check was cashed on 11/2). They returned the following week to begin the job and after a weather delay (rain) they returned the weekend after that to complete the removal of the trees which was all completed satisfactorily. After they didn't return to complete the stump grinding, I reached our to them on 11/24 and the call was returned that evening and I was told they would be by in the next couple of days. A week later I made another phone call and was told again they would be by in the next few days. After contacting Angie's List to see what my options were, I called them today, 12/8 to see if they could provide a date to complete the job. I got voicemail, left a message, and have not received a response as of tonight. I had asked that they not drive on the lawn after a rain which they have done a nice job of not doing, but with the string of nice weather we have had, the job should have been completed by now.

I bought a Big Deal from Angie's List, which was a HUGE mistake. Terry contacted me quickly, and did the job quickly, efficiently, and safely.  Was honest enough to charge me less than the Deal because he didn't charge that much.  That is true honesty.  It would have been easy to just take the big deal payment and go on.  But he didn't.
However, Angie's List totally screwed up EVERYTHING else... from not communicating with I'm that we had purchased a Big Deal, to telling me to pay him and they would refund the deal, and then expecting Terry to refund my money when Angie's List finally forward my payment. Which took months to get sorted out. 
So would I work with Terry again?  YES.  Will I buy another Big Deal? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They are very hard workers and a great job. They took care to not damage my patio and plantings in the yard. Grinding the stump was not included in this service but a reasonable quote was given and I intend to have them do it in the near future.

Paul started out great and I'm not really sure what went wrong.  I hired him to do about $3800 worth of landscaping  demo which including a couple of trees. This took about 4 days. I gave him additional work  that went on for another 2 month period.  What ever he quoted, I agreed to. I thought his pricing was fair and I always paid him when asked.  I never disputed money or costs with him.  He was not exactly reliable on dates, but I was patient due to the crap weather we had over the summer and the fact that I had 5 acres of woods around my house that needed work.  The issue I have is he never finished a couple of big pieces that I paid him for.  I needed a very large tree canopied up, plus the remainder of ivy on the house removed (he started but never finished).   I called and gave him every opportunity to finish.  I am not sure why he never showed back up or why he continued to lie when I asked him when he was going to return. If he had an issue, the professional thing would have been to bring it to my attention.  I would say that he is unreliable. There are good things about his services, but punctuality and reliability are not one of them.  I am very irritated that the job was not finished and was PAID for.

We called for a quote and Mr. Terry came promptly to see what we needed to do. When we called to have the work done Mr. Terry and his crew came to do what we asked. They were prompt and did everything we asked at a good price. We would use this company again.

They did very well.  Worked 1/2 of two days with at least 3 guys.  Cleaned up neat as a pin and left firewood just like I liked.  Perfect and hard working.

They got the job done and did it well.  I was a bit concerned due to the placement of both the two trees next to the house, plus the very large limb that hung high above my neighbor's pool.  They removed all of the trees and limbs without incident.  It even started to rain, but they stuck with the job until it was finished.  I had asked them to cut some of the limbs for the fireplace.  They did so and stacked the logs for me.  I took special note of Herman who stayed busy the entire time and did a very diligent job cleaning up after they were finished.  Other than the missing trees and limbs, you could not tell that they had been there.

Terry was great. He came out just when he said he would.  I had gotten a Big Deal and we talked about how it would not cover all the work I needed done, what with 5 large, mature trees all needing some work.  He quoted an additional cost that was very reasonable.
He and his crew came out the next day, which was fantastic. They spent the day in the bucket trimming all the trees and making them look amazing.  Now they let in light but still provide shade.  
He seemed very knowledgable about the trees and what they had experienced and how they needed to be cared for. His crew was friendly and worked diligently.
I gave them a "B" for professionalism because they didn't have uniforms or even a logo on the trucks, but for the price and the quality of the work, that is fine with me!

The tree, the deadwood, and the recently felled limb are gone. We have a HUGE pile of stump grindings and several smaller piles of saw dust and similar leavings at the intervals along which the trunk was sectioned into movable portions (I didn't think to specify removal of such, which had been included in my original estimate from the first company--this was my error). In addition, we have a large trunk-shaped crater in the yard. I was aware that other work elsewhere was in progress and that our job would be picked up as time allowed. The strange weather events we've had this summer added to a rather drawn-out process. Paul and his crew worked in horrible heat and humidity and toughed it out til the end of the job (which, had I given more thought to the entire process, would not have been the end--but, as I noted, that was my error). At some point I got the feeling that they might have bitten off more than they could handle. Paul certainly knew what he was doing and worked with his crew more than he supervised them; he definitely worked harder than anyone else. At times it seemed that the crew watched Paul do the hard work and pitched-in when the task at hand became too cumbersome for one. At the end only Paul and a female cohort, who I think may have been his wife, miraculously got the remainder of the trunk sections onto a truck bed and that was the last I saw of any of them. The stump grinding was apparently contracted out to a young man who reduced the trunk to wooden squiggles and chips and advised me what to do with them. I'm still working on that: between the 90+ heat, rainy days, and my flagging energy level, I'm slowly making progress. I wouldn't hesitate to hire Paul again, but not for the removal of such a large tree. He is without doubt a hard worker. He accommodated several additions and changes without a problem. He might have worked with me on the leavings of the trunk, but I haven't seen or heard from him and I don't think it merits a phone call.

It's a bit of a surprise when they'll actually come and do the work, but this was explained to me in advance, so I knew they'd just show up when they were doing other nearby jobs.  As long as you're comfortable with this, it's a great system.  Very responsive and willing to do just about everything.  I asked if they would remove some dead ivy from my house and Paul and his son went out and got some tools to do the job right then!  I will definitely be hiring them again for lots of different jobs.

He honored everything he told me he was going to do.  The property is overwhelming, so I was surprised that he was able to accomplish all of this work in a short time.  I will say to people considering his services, that you will have be patient.  He gets to the work quickly, but the weather controls his schedule.  It has taken a little more time than he thought, but he has kept in contact to let me know what was going.  You will not find a better tree service and harder working guys than he and his crew.

the guys were nice and returned phone calls - these are hard working guys.

I live in a gated sub-division where one needs access codes to enter the secure and video entrance. Hence easy to validate start and departure times. We started just prior to noon on Thursday May 7th, 2015 and left just after 6 PM that night. Paul collected from my wife a check in the amount of $950 for additional 19 Ash trees he stated he dropped. To date a total of 14 trees were dropped, only 4 trees cut and stacked per agreement. The other 10 trees laying on ground where dropped. Validation of number cut - A stump cannot lie. Paul was to return on Saturday morning and work to noon on tree line, then return on Monday morning to hopefully finish up job that was paid for His truck and two workers departed at 2:45 Friday never to be seen again. Multiple calls to his cell resulted in voicemail each time

Paul was very responsive.  He came out the same evening that I contacted him. Walked around the perimeter and advised on the landscape needs. All of the trees and shrubs were overgrown from years without trimming.  Paul's crew came in a took out two oversized pines that had outgrown the space, dramatically trimmed out and topped the magnolia; thinned, shaped and reduced the plum trees; and cut back and shaped all the shrubs and rose bushes.  His crew was very efficient and Paul began and ended the day at the site, coming back out to finish the job after a later afternoon rain delay.  I was very satisfied with the work and plan to use his services again.
