The technician was very professional and did the things that they agreed to do. I would use them again in the future.

They didn't fix it, but rather, recommended a complete replacement due to age. They were very attentive and prompt in their service. Our main complaint was the price. We ended up finding another water softener on our own and had a contractor install it. This saved us about $400.

Old house from 50's - had to break open cast iron pipe in basement to snake. Able to snake to septic tank & clear clog. Put new cap on pipe, very secure. Ensured washer & sump pump working along w/toilet & drains b4 they left. Put tarps down (had new carpeting in bsmt) & used shoe slippers. Very little mess & cleaned everything up & even had coupon!! Very nice & kept me apprised of everything & explained things so I could understand. Would def call again.

During a recent cold snap, my York heat pump would use the heat strips, to maintain temperature in the home. However, the heat strips would not stay on, and therefore the home was getting rather cool. After locating this company on Angie's list, I made a service call. The serviceman arrived timely, and began to diagnose the problem. At one point he thought it was a relay. Then he thought it might be the "board". He then phoned the owner and bounced his findings off of him. Ultimately, he determined that the heat strip unit was bad and would need to be replaced. The estimate was just short of $1000. The bad news was that he wouldn't be able to have the part, until Wednesday of the upcoming week. This was a problem, since the temperature was about to drop to -19 degrees, over the coming weekend. There was nothing else he could do, he stated. After he had left, I contacted someone I knew that worked in commercial heating/AC and refrigeration. He graciously came out the same evening and took a look. After about 30-40 minutes of testing everything, he found that all the components (including the heat strip unit) were working properly. Then he checked the filter. Something the Plumbing Heating Paramedic serviceman never did. The filter wasn't but 3 months old. However, I had installed a "catch everything" filter for the allergy season. Turns out, this heavy filter was reducing the airflow enough to cause the "heat limit switch" (a temperature safety switch), to kick off the heat strips. With the filter removed, the heat strips functioned just fine. A trip to the local hardware store, and an $8 basic filter solved my heating problem, and saved me from a $1000 repair bill that I didn't need. I feel fortunate that I know a little bit about mechanics, and had a friend that was kind of in the business. Otherwise, I'd have been victimized by a less than qualified serviceman. I suppose I'm fortunate that this only cost me the $70 service call. Lesson here was getting a second opinion.

The service technician was very pleasant and informative. The faucet was an Angie's Big Deal purchase, which came with the plumbing inspection. The faucet works well, but it does not seem to be the same high quality as the faucet that I replaced. During the plumbing inspection, it was found that our ejection pit pump was not functioning. They installed a new pump with an alarm. The work was done in a timely fashion and the area was left clean.

It went fine. They were very responsive.

They never made contact with us although the coupon said they would.

I called them at 10 pm last night and left a message. They retuned my call later that night and said they would contact me this morning and schedule a time for service, which they did. They arrived within the agreed time window and restored my heat. He did not fix the underlying problem because the new furnace was under warranty with another company and didn't want to charge me for something I shouldn't have to pay for. He did explain what needed to be addressed. I would recommend them.

I think that was a scam just to get somebody in there to look around. It just so happened that a week later, our water heater went out. We've had 12- 15 years with that water heater. It was the third or fourth water heater we have put in. It just feels fishy to me that he was here and he could have changed something for something to happen. I'll never have them in again. We can't prove it but I'll never call that company again. It was an intro with a good price so they could get somebody in here and take a look at things. They did what they said they were going to do but it just seemed so fishy that we had to have that replaced a week later.

They did not even look at the sub pump and left. I don’t feel as if I got my moneys worth.

I called this morning; they had an opening and squeezed me in at the last minute.

It went great from scheduling to servicing. There was a pretty big issue with the furnace in that it was not built with a filter pan. They quoted me $800 to fix that. I'm going to try to get the original company to come back and fix the issue. If they wont then i will get request some additional qoutes from other companies. Overall I had a good experience with PHP.

The plumber was very capable and good to work with.

We have used them two or three times and they have replaced some old plumbing that was real clogged up and the drain would not work any more. I also have gotten an estimate from them for a bathroom remodel, but we ended up going with another company that was cheaper. The cheaper company trashed the whole job so I have had to call this company to come back and repair the work that was done by the cheaper company. They did not give me a hard time about it and the owner, Randy, is awesome. He only charged me a trip charge to fix the work, no labor charge.

As usual, a great job by really nice people.

I've used this service provider before and this was the first time that I was not completely pleased with them. I had called Paramedics to tell them the size of the filter the service person should bring since a free filter was part of the Angie List Special price. However, when the service person got their he stated that the size of the filter had not be conveyed to him. He proceeded to place to smaller filters in the furnance, and I wasn't particularly pleased by that,. I didn't think it was very professional, especially since I had taken the time to call and let them know the filter size. I'll probably use another company in the future for the next furnance cleaning.

Everything went very well. A plumber was sent out to provide an estimate prior to any work being scheduled. Believe it or not, just minutes before he arrived the valve broke in the bathtub and water was shooting out all over the bathroom. He shut off the water and quickly diagnosed the problem. The plumber was gracious enough to give me a list of supplies need to complete the job at my request because II was trying to save a little money in the midst of a costly bathroom remodel). The plumber was helpful, polite and efficient. I would strongly recommend this company.

Replaced my water heater and furnace.

They emailed me right away to let me know they did not service my area. I called to tell them the deal was a gift for a family friend and they were extremely friendly on the phone. If I lived closer I wouldn't hesitate using them.

They showed up and they did the furnace inspection at my mom's house but when they left, they didn't actually remember to turn the furnace back on so she woke up the next morning it was like 50 degrees so she had to call in and they came back. They didn't charge her anything, they turned it back on. Other than that, they did okay.

I bought the furnace tune-up deal and scheduled with them to arrive on 12/31 between 10:00 AM and noon. They called the day before and left a message saying they would have to cancel because an emergency came up. This day I scheduled was the only day I could do since they don't schedule for weekends or later in the day (after 4:00 PM) because I am at work the other times. Disappointed that they couldn't be more flexible with their scheduling.

Purchased Big Deal for Furnace inspection. Brian was very thorough and informative. Provided quote on Water Heater needs and assessment of furnace and advantages of a new unit. Would definitely recommend this company.

We contacted PHP early morning on 1/1/14. We had woken up to our furnace not kicking on and a cold house. My husband left a message to try to schedule an appointment and received a return phone call. We scheduled for a Tech to come to our home to take a look at our furnace and hopefully fix it. I certainly appreciated a same day appointment, considering I have an infant at home. The gentleman arrived at my home and I was taken aback at the fact that he never said Hi or introduced himself to either me or my husband. He came into our home, put booties over his shoes, and walked straight back to where our furnace was. He didn't ask for any details on what the problem was or confirm anything from his phone conversation with my husband. He literally had nothing to say. No more than 10 minutes later he had diagnosed the problem as a bad igniter switch. My husband asked if he had the part to fix it, which he said he did. My husband asked if he kept furnace filters on his truck and the gentleman said he would check for us. He came back into the house with the new igniter and switched it out quickly and put the new filter in. He brought the bill back in with him, as well. It cost roughly $330. I know HVAC work isn't cheap, but I was surprised at that cost - considering that it took less than 20 minutes in total to fix our problem. I asked why it was so expensive and he said the igniter switch was over $200 itself. Over the summer I had PHP install a new A/C unit at my home and at that time I purchased their Annual Maintenance agreement - I am not sure that this employee offered/honored any discount for us that would have been associated with that - but I doubt that he did. Overall, I'm glad that I have heat in my home again but was somewhat disappointed in the service level and think that it was rather costly. I'm not sure if the man was upset to be working on a holiday - his demeanor indicated that he was, but in my opinion, this is something that couldn't wait.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. He took care of the initial problem and suggested more work, but at the time I did not have the money to do it. The initial service was okay. He came out the next day after I purchased the deal. The work went smoothly and the service was pretty average. They came when they said they would and did the work. It was not anything spectacular, but there also was nothing negative about it. In the future I would at least do a quote with them.
