Plumbing Heating Paramedics

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I didn't pay any additional.

It went well and they were able to fix a toilet and included a $100 credit towards any future work. I was happy with the Big Deal overall. They were very nice.

Informed us that a seal was needed. Took apart the sink and explained that we could get the seal and put back together for cost savings. Very fair honest guy and will absolutely trust this company and use again.

Our humidifier kept making strange noises that ran through the heat ducts. They came out twice and tried various things until the problem was fixed. They were always very courteous and helpful, even though we couldn't get the noise to replicate while they were here. Others might have treated us like we were crazy, but these guys kept working to solve the problem. We are so grateful to be noise free in the middle of the night.

Randy was excellent. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he took time to explain things to me that I really needed to know. (I've not had a water softener before.) I really appreciated his expertise and his willingness to share it.

We had an issue with our existing old thermostat turning off and on randomly. We thought the thermostat was malfunctioning. I found this deal for a wifi thermostat plus installation on Angies list and called Plumbing Heating Paramedics. The person I spoke to was very nice and she agreed that may be it was time for a new thermostat. The appointment was set and the tech came the next next day and explained about the thermostat and took a look at the heating unit. This is where it gets tricky. We purchased the angies list deal at that point after having decided that the thermostat was indeed the issue and this particular thermostat was something that we'd like to upgrade to as well. The tech installed it and all seemed well until later we realized that this one was turning on and off randomly as well. Long story short the tech explained that his task sheet only indicated that we needed the thermostat replaced....it wasn't listed as a 'No heat/ service call' and hence he hadn't dug deep to look into whether there was anything else going on with the heating unit. We were upset needless to say. We didn't need the new thermostat. They came back, took a look at the unit and luckily it was a minor mess up on our part that was causing the problem - the filter was inserted the wrong way and it was collapsing and causing the unit to over heat and shut off automatically. The tech apologized for not actually checking things the previous day and since we had purchased the thermostat when we technically didn't need one, they offered two free tune up visits, one for the heating unit and one for the ac unit later this year. We were satisfied with the arrangement also since the thermostat was a good upgrade and would allow us to program the temps and save money on gas and electricity. We would hire them again. Everything works great now!

They were a very, very nice company. They sent me a $25 coupon for the next service! The technician I worked with was very polite and he sent me a thank you card for using their service. It was really nice. We didn't have a problem with the water softener, so he just checked it for us. I would definitely call him back.

He came out early to get some initial plumbing work done. He was very nice and I was happy. I felt able to call my plumber on his cellphone for after hours and weekends so he was responsive, adding a personal touch to the experience. He added pipelines and water supply lines for a tub and shower.

I didn't feel as though he was as thorough as he could have been. The price of my heating bill was way up and I thought there may be something wrong with my furnace. It turned out everything was fine. The price was more than a bargain.

The service turned out alright and it was a good price.

The guys from Plumbing/Heating Paramedics called ahead of time, showed up closer to the front end of their 2-hour window (beats the heck out of a 4-hour) and worked quickly and efficiently. They answered the few questions I had, paid particular attention to a potential trouble spot and put my mind at ease, and made sure I had the model number of a humidifier unit so I could swap out a filter myself. Added bonus: they were clearly comfortable with and affectionate towards our puppies who are fairly well behaved for their age, but extremely friendly and enthusiastic. I just got a great vibe off of these guys and would totally use them again.

I really liked the owners. After they left the furnace stopped working after a few hours. It was during dinner and the company came out immediately and made adjustments. It has been working perfectly ever since.

My water heater was not working so I purchased the coupon and they were able to come out the same day I called. The pilot light was out and so the heater was restarted and came on. Unfortunately the pilot went out again, so I left a message with their answering service in the evening when I discovered it, and they called PROMPTLY the next morning and came out again to determine the problem, which turned out to be the thermocouple. Although the cost of the repair was not excessive, this is an older water heater I don't really want to put the money into repairing. PHP uses a very nice brand of water heater for replacements but i wanted to spend less because this house is basically a rental, not because the cost was unreasonable, so did not have them replace it. Thank you for going the extra mile on this repair issue!

It was great! It was easy getting in touch with them, and they did the work exactly as specified in the deal. Ultimately, I had no problems with the service.

We had a water heater completely go and dump out all 40 gallons of water. They replaced it. They came out a second time a few days later to thaw an outside water line. I picked them because they had an "A" rating based on the highest number of ratings. In other words, they came up first on my search. They responded VERY quickly for both service calls and were at my house within a half hour - this is their strongest suit. The service guy (same young man both times) was very polite and nice and seemed professional. He seemed to perform his job very well. No complaints there. HOWEVER, they are VERY high priced compared to the average in the Indianapolis area. I was in a bind, so I didn't have time to get multiple quotes for putting in a new water heater. Their price seemed high to me when they were installing it, so I checked it out afterwards and found that they charged me nearly double what the average is in Indianapolis - even with $200 in various discounts I received. The water heater they installed seems to be a high-quality one and it may last for 20 years, but wow they are high-priced. Their price was more reasonable when they came out to thaw my pipe, but I think that was just because of the niceness of the young service man who cut me a break considering he was just there for the water heater. I think their "normal" parice for thawing a pipe is also very high. Bottom line: very quick, professional service, but super-high prices!

We contacted 4 other plumbing companies, and 2 couldn't see us that day, and the other 2 never called us back. It was Super Bowl Sunday, but Plumbing and Heating Paramedics got back to us immediately and were at our doorstep 30 minutes later. The technician explained what happened, what he was going to do, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. He was very efficient, and when he left, you couldn't even tell he had been there! He even disposed of the part and towels and didn't even leave those behind. We were very impressed and will be using this company for our tune up agreement for all HVAC and plumbing going forward - they even inspect your toilets as part of the agreement! We greatly appreciated their professionalism, quick response to our problem, and their friendly service! Thank you for such a great experience!

I called Plumbing Heating Paramedics and they came out on a Saturday night at 11 o'clock to do the job. They did a great job. They even had to go back and find the matching part from their inventory.

We had an issue with our back up sump pump. They confirmed the repairs would be so expensive because the unit is ten years old and that the unit needed to be replaced. I had received a second quote and Plumbing Heating Paramedics were considerably lower than the competition. They replaced the unit the following week. I have used their service in the past to replace my water heater as well.

As well as routine heating and A/C maintenance, they have installed a water softener, replaced the house thermostat with a more reliable and efficient one, fixed problems in the kitchen plumbing, and wrestled my furnace into submission and efficient operation. I keep using them because they are so reliable and responsive. They don't waste time, and the charges are reasonable and competitive. They have an excellent answering service, so when problems arise, they can be depended on for quick responses. I find the staff very frank and helpful in explaining what the problem is, how they propose to resolve it and laying out options for me to choose, if that is appropriate. Got a lot of education along the way!

We lost water in our rental unit. I suggested we start at the meter pit, since the shut off valves wouldn't turn. The technician heated the pit with a salamander style heater. It took about 10 minutes of heating time to thaw the frozen parts. it took another 20 minutes to reload equipment and take payment. The technician was very personable and professional. He called an hour in advance and set the time for his arrival. I was very happy with the service but not the price. The tech said the normal price for that service was $350, plus a $69 service call fee, (OMG!) but gave us an invoice for $275 plus a discounted service call fee of $29 (an Angies list deal). The "normal" total would have been $419 (OMG AGAIN!), and we paid $300 for 30 minutes of very easy work and no material used (Youch!).

This company is truly a dependable one in my two experiences with them. We have had plumbing work (a leaking shower faucet and main drain clean out) and a furnace call (not heating!) in the last 4 months. Both times, the customer service was excellent - I felt like I was the most important customer they had! Both servicemen were knowledgeable, professional, and honest concerning the issues and avenues of repair. I would definitely recommend them!

Excellent service, very courteous staff making appointment and service tech. He was prompt and did the job well check water along with all plumbing. Would recommend to friends and family.
