Plumbing Heating Paramedics

It's April now and it seems to be hanging in there. I realize I will probably have to replace the thermostat at some point. He was prompt and friendly and I would use them again.

The technicans were fine (note I stated 2 of them). The issue I have was the cost. I purchased a "big deal" in which I paid $32.00 for a service call and had a $69.00 credit toward repair. The estimate given the me was to "pull and reset toilet" with a charge $249.00 (less the $69.00 credit). So I was to be charged $318.00 for a "possible" wax ring repair, which I promptly refused. I called 3 other plumbers (off Angie's list) and was quoted at least 1/2 less or greater for the repair , which included the visit. I find the quote given me as insulting and VERY overpriced.

The service turned out fine. He wanted to evaluate my plumbing around the house, and I told him that I didn't want the plumbing inspection and he said it was okay and did what I wanted him to do. That was positive and the work that he did was also positive. The price was what they told me it would be.

He was able to use the existing water line.

I had them come out due to rusty toilets even after back flushing the softener. They informed me I needed a new softener after looking at my old one and not being able to fix it. This took place on a Wednesday, which they arrived when they told me they would, and gave me the option of coming back Thurs or Sat. Neither one of those days worked for me so he contacted the office and they reworked their schedule so they could accommodate me on a Friday. Very much appreciated this. They arrived on Friday, installed my new softener and it is working beautifully.

There was a credit like $69 or something and they repaired three minor things and didn't charge us anything. Then I said, "Okay, we're going to put in two new sinks. I'll buy the sinks and the fixtures." And then I said, "We'd like you to give us a quote on how much it would cost." The quote they gave us was too much money. They said they wanted $600. So my response was, "No, we're going to decline that and we'll find somebody else to do it." So I thought that was too high a price. We were satisfied with the work they initially did, but my impression was that that was just a common deal, "We'll do this stuff and then maybe get some more of your business." Now that we've had it actually done by somebody else, it was a lot of work, so may be $600 by a professional plumber was worth it, but not to us. It was just too expensive.There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. We were satisfied with the initial price, but we thought the quote they gave us on doing the sinks was too expensive.

The install went very well. The two technicians that put the furnace in were knowledgeable and careful about their work. They did not waste any time. They were easy to talk to and gave great information about the care of the furnace. They took the old furnace out and cleaned up after themselves. The job only took two hours. I was able to use my PHP Buck (which is a coupon) and subtracted $25 dollars from the installation.

Randy came in and evaluated the situation quickly. His way of unclogging the sink was not as complicated as the previous plumber had stated, and was less expensive. Randy was very experienced and knowledgeable about how to fix the problem. I used a PHP Buck and received $25 off of the estimated price.

It was great! He is going to come on a regular basis, he is going to come and make sure everything is in order because our heating system failed twice during this horrible winter and so we just feel like we need to do better to maintain what we have, but he did a very good job and got the humidifier working and everything turned out very nicely.

Dan and his team were fantastic to work with. I spoke to Dan at 3pm on a Tuesday afternoon and told him I needed a furnace replacement by noon the next day. He not only had the furnace installed by noon, but beat the next closest bid by $600. His team was very professional and did a great job cleaning up afterword. I would highly recommend this company to others.

The service person did everything that I believe he was trained on, although his knowledge on my particular machine and in water softeners in general is still in the early stages. When I showed the actual ad on what services I was to receive the service person seemed a little surprised. Overall probably got a decent deal for $59.

It went well. They were on time and did what they said they would do.

On-time; work was performed efficiently and courteously. They even made sure the right filter had been ordered and was on the truck, since I informed them when I scheduled the visit that our filter size is unusual. Good job.

Immediately upon company leaving, I checked the toilet by flushing it. The handle, post wax ring install, now had to be held down approximately 4 seconds to fully flush. Also, at least 50% of the time the toilet tank wouuldn't fill as the rubber stopper was about 3/8" off-center post job performed. Called Php and they sent out SAME TECH a few days later. He came and, of course, said the issues weren't his fault and stated it had nothing to do with the job performed. I, the customer, asked how it improbable that the toilet function was fine for the last 2 yeats and now, all-of-the-sudden...the handle action wasn't at all like before work done nor the rubber stopper off-center either before work done. The tech (same as did job initially) said that the rubber stopper had disintegrated. I thought it interesting that "it" disintegrated 20 minutes after he left the job, and yet also the rubber stopper had to have swelled because it was now off-center by 3/8". I guess it miraculously disintegrated AND swelled. |Long story short, they wouldn't fix the issues they caused and were going to charge me for getting the "head" plumber to come and fix things. |That all deserves an "F" grade in my book. Ridiculous customer service.

They came very quickly. They were very polite and clean cut. We were pretty pleased with the service and we will use them again. They took care of the problem right away.

I had a friend that knew a plumber and he came and fixed it. Be very careful when using companies and the "big deal". Second time this has not worked for us on Angie's List.

Absolutely nothing extraordinary happened, and I think that's pretty extraordinary! They were there for a few hours, got the new furnace in, ran a new exhaust pipe thru the roof and it was done. Entirely painless.

The only problem I had was they sent out a plumber but I needed a heating inspection. They made a new appointment 2-3 days later to check the furnace. They did a good job checking the unit and he didn’t find any issues.

The service went fine. I didn't have problems with them. We had water leaking from the toilet and we just needed to know what the problem was.

Guys showed up on time as scheduled and got right to work inspecting the house plumbing. The used the PHP bucks to unclog a stubborn tub drain and a sink drain. They tested my water pressure into the house, drain and filled the water heater, and tested my water hardness which ranked pretty high indicating that the water softener wasn't functioning properly. I since was able to straighten that out and now have soft water. They provided a thorough and no-pressure written estimate detailing their findings and associated costs. Would use again.
