Plumbing Heating Paramedics

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I have two children who are rather abusive to the plumbing so stuff goes down the drain. For $30 the price couldn't be beat. I've had them out before.

They were very good. There was a slight misunderstanding regarding us purchasing the disposal unit and them installing it. The guy got the old unit working in 3 seconds so there was not anything needed. They were very good and professional. They were there on time. Everything was fantastic. They said they wouldn't charge for a 3 minute visit.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out okay.

Went OK until he dumped all of our salt from the softener into a dirty trashcan, performed his check, and then dumped it all back into the softener. When I found out about this from my wife (I wasn?t home at the time of the check-up), I called the customer service and complained. The owner called back, apologized, and sent the same tech back out with three fresh bags of salt to refill the softener once it had been emptied again. My review says I?d use them again since but it is more like a ?maybe?.

They said they would call the day before as a reminder- and they did.bf They said they would call when the tech was on his way- and they did. They said they would be here between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. - and they were I have seen a lot of plumbers through the business and this man knows his stuff, was organized, and efficient with his time. Great job.

Provider did a thorough assessment, answered all our questions about sump pumps, back ups and so forth and gave us a good overview things we could do to better our system. We were very satisfied with the service and the honesty.

Great service!! They showed up promptly both with the estimate and work visits. Did the work quickly and very well. I highly recommend them and I will use them again if necessary!

P.H. Paramedics did arrive in the specified time frame. Their entire diagnostics check took less than 5 minutes. The serviceman glanced at our unit, stated that the welds that attach the unit to our home lines were bad welds, and then gave us a quote to repair it and recharge our unit--$1,600!!! He then stated I needed to sign then or the price might go up! I want to repeat--he only glanced at the unit. He didn't look at the furnace, look at the lines, run any tests whatsoever. It was a simple look. Well, I called another AC person instead--Smiths out of Indianapolis. They did a wonderful job. Their serviceman showed up later that day. He was so young I knew he wasn't going to do a good job--but I was wrong. He spent 20 minutes looking over our exterior unit, cleaning it, testing it, etc. He did state the welds weren't great, but he ACTUALLY TESTED THEM to see if they were the source of our problems. Turns out they weren't! After looking over our exterior unit, taking apart our furnace, and testing the lines, he stated that the AC simply hadn't been used for awhile and needed to be recharged. Total cost of repair $70, not $1,600. It's not a month and a half later and its still running very well. P.H. Paramedics were clearly hoping we would sign off on their exorbitantly high prices without a second thought. I'll never use them again.

They contacted me right away and when they came out to do the service the technician informed me that to replace the faucet would require him to cut a hole in my living room. I was not prepared to have this amount of work done at this time so he tightened the bolt on the faucet to stop the leaking for no charge. I have requested a refund from Angie's List as the replacement was not completed. I would definitely consider using this company for future work.

The service went well. One technician came out for the job and completed the job in under an hour. They did exactly what the deal stated. The technician was professional and did a good job. I had no problem scheduling the deal and would hire the company again.

It went fine. He installed an new toilet flapper, a new shower head & a new sink sprayer for me. All of these things were too hard for me to do by myself. He was very pleasant & understanding.

Everything was very smooth- I used the SnapFix app and both Angie's List and the provider were very responsive. I was scheduled very quickly and the service tech on-site was knowledgeable. He took his time to explain to me the issues with my softener and presented options to repair vs. replace (it is an older unit and will require replacement). While on-site he noticed what seemed to be leak coming from somewhere and did some trouble shooting and determined it was related to the water softener issue. Throughout the entire experience I did not feel any pressure to repair or purchase new- I felt the tech was straight forward and provided me with facts instead of a sales pitch. He took extra time to explain to me the technical difficulties my unit was experiencing and pitfalls to be aware of when selecting a new system. He assessed my home situation (number of occupants, etc...) and provided an appropriate recommendation. I was pleasantly surprised when he recommended the least costly unit because anything more would be more than what I needed. I appreciate their honest, friendly, pressure-free approach to business.

I called around 10am and made an appointment for 2pm that day. The service technician, Brett, was on time and courteous. From beginning to end, which included him leaving to purchase a $100 garbage disposal, the job took 2 hours. $830.00 for 2 hours of works appears fraudulent to me. When I asked for a breakdown of labor and parts, I was told to call the office. When I called the office, they told me they don't ?bill that way? and that these are customary charges for the work completed. Apparently they don?t bill labor and parts separately. I expressed concern that I was overcharged and they suggested I call other companies and compare rates and that these rates are customary. However, when I called Service Plus and Roter Rooter to compare fees, none of those companies would give me rates over the phone. The plumbing business seems like a big scam to me now. I will call a handy man in the future and avoid working with plumbing companies altogether.

Well-done visit with accurate diagnosis and info, quoted a fair price.

In April, I was experiencing issues with my heating and air conditioning, so I purchased a deal from Angie's List which gave me a $32 service/diagnosis along with a $69 credit. When the technician arrived at my house, he looked over the HVAC system and said that everything was in order and working properly. His explanation as to why my heating was intermittently going out was that I needed a new thermostat. When I called the thermostat company to follow up, they ran me through a battery of tests which instead showed that my thermostat was in perfect working order. Rather, there was an issue with my HVAC. The issues of intermittent power continued, and so I called Heating Plumbing Paramedics to again come out and look at the HVAC system. I planned to begin a service contract with them, however they refused to acknowledge or follow through on the $69 credit which I had received in the Spring. When speaking with Jennifer over the phone, she first explained that I had to have a coupon code and that they didn't keep records of those credits. When I provided the code, Jennifer then said that the credit went toward my repairs (of which I had none). When I explained that, she said she'd need to look up my papers from that day. Finally, she just said they would not recognize the credit because it had to be spent that day (a direct contradiction to what I was told in the Spring). I then asked why there would be an expiration date 1 year after the service call, which Jennifer could not answer. At that point, I'd had enough. I chose not to do business with a company that would not honor their obligations. Instead I went with Williams Comfort Air, and the folks on the phone there were much more willing to work with me and even offered up where I could find coupons to bring down my costs. It was in stark contrast to the dealings I had with Heating Plumbing Paramedics.

This AC repair was for a tenant of ours but we were going to pay for the service. We purchased a deal to have a cheaper service call fee and were required to have the tenant provide the paper copy of the coupon to the service person upon arrival. There was some confusion with the scheduling which was supposed to be handled between the company and the tenant, but once that was sorted out, we got the service taken care of in a reasonable time frame. The service person required the tenant to sign saying they would be responsible to make the payment and approve the repairs since I wasn't present. There was one little part that had to be replaced and they wanted like $300 for the total which I thought seemed pretty high, but I didn't shop around so I don't know what other companies would have charged for the same service and part. The tenant also asked the company about doing some simple plumbing hoping it could be taken care of while they were there but apparently that is a different department and we would have to pay another service fee and have a different technician come out to take care of that for us. All in all, I would use them again, but might find a company that gives free estimates to get a second opinion beforehand to be sure the price is reasonable.

I bought a Big Deal for a service call for 29.95. The appointment process was fine, the people were fine. I have a bathroom faucet that drips which I know doesn't take long to fix. The price quoted was just over $200 which I thought was way too much for a simple job. I declined service and am out 29.95, but next time I'll check the company's price list before signing up for one of these deals.

The experience was fabulous! The technician was very professional and recommended some things I could do to prolong the life of my much older furnance. The company even sent me a thank you note which was a very pleasant surprise. I would recommend the services of Plumbing Heating Paramedics and would use them again.

Well, we looked silly for not noticing the chipped grout in the shower tile that was allowing splashing water to run down the back of the wall into the laundry room. I'm not sure how old the tile is, but there's no cement board behind it so we have to tear out the shower, add cement board and replace the tile. I wanted to do that anyway, so I guess it will be sooner than later. My husband liked the technician who checked the leak. He also checked the pipes from an access panel to confirm the problem was the cracked tile grout and let me know what plumbing can't be relocated during a remodel without disturbing the furnace. While my husband was making the appointment for the service call, the scheduler told us they had an AL Big Deal and advised us to buy it. I think we saved at least 50 percent. I searched the List for weeks trying to find a plumbing service with integrity. I think I found one.

They are excellent. They are very honest, caring, professional, trustworthy, and local. I went to work and left them in my house, I had no worries.

They technically did what the special rate said would be done but I didn't think the inspection of my water softener was that thorough. I'm not too sure the tech knew a lot about my particular water softener. But they did ok. Just disappointed in the amount of time spent checking out my equipment.

It turned out very good. They got the job done in about 40 minutes. The scheduling was very good.
