Disclaimer on cost of service: First of all, our job was very complex and unique. I did not include the overall price of our job on this review as I do not think that it would offer much value due to the uniqueness of our situation. I WILL say that we shopped around and got several other quotes and PHP was the best price we could find. Overall Scope of work: We wanted to convert our old heat pump that was on its last breath to a new A/C unit and natural gas furnace. In addition, we knew we had duct work issues because of poor airflow at most all the registers and we wanted those addressed as well. Last of all, the previous owner of our home had an addition put on the house in the mid-90's and instead of tying into the existing HVAC system and duct work, he installed a separate heat pump to service the addition and we wanted to get rid of the extra heat pump and use our main unit. Review Details: Working with PHP was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. When Ryan, the company owner, came to our home to evaluate the job and provide a quote he took his time to fully understand our concerns and what we were trying to do. PHP was the ONLY company that took the time to completely evaluate everything I had concerns about and even brought a device to measure the airflow at all of our vents and registers to evaluate the duct work issues I had raised before providing a quote. Every other company just glazed over this and was more focused on selling me a new system. From the beginning it was clear that Ryan was not concerned about selling me on a huge system with tons of bells and whistles we don't need, but rather making sure that we would be satisfied with the overall system and setup. On the day of the install, everything went as smooth as they said it would go during the initial consultation. The job took 2 days as they indicated it would and I was kept up to date at all times. The crew took immaculate care to ensure that our house was kept clean and nothing was disturbed. They ran drop cloths everywhere they would have to walk and left the job site cleaner than it was when they arrived. Incredible. I really can not say enough about PHP from their wonderful customer service to the quality of their work. This is a family owned and run business who truly care about their customers and the quality of their work. Even though their quote for our job was lower than any other quote, I feel like the quality of their work is first-class. PHP has earned a customer for life, we could not be more pleased with everything!

He was on time, professional, and helped answer some questions with some other issues I am having. Just an all around nice guy. I would highly recommend him.

Woke up yesterday morning to a cold shower. Water heater that was installed in 2009 was leaking. I noticed they had a special deal available for Angie's List members on a Bradford water heater. When I called they asked if the water heater was still under warranty, which I was not sure of so they checked and yes it was. So they came in the afternoon and replaced the old water heater with same brand as the old one (Bradford white) for $450. I asked about an annual flushing of the water heater and was told by the technician that for $149 a year they would do this and a bunch of other things that I did not think were necessary. This was the only part that disappointed me since the previous company that installed the water heater also came out without charge to flush and inspect it. I may not have used PHP if I had know this, esp. since I found this statement on their Angie's list deal listing to purchase and install a Bradford Water Heater: "Every PHP installation comes with a complimentary EMS program, which includes a plumbing inspection and water heater flush at no charge every year." In my opinion this is close to false advertising.

When they came out to do the service they told me that my sub pump is no good so they could not do the Big deal.

It want well. He replaced the plastic parts with copper parts.

The tech came out and tried fixing the outdoor hose faucet. He was unable to do so from outside the house, so we agreed that he would cut a small hole in the drywall ceiling of our finished basement. He said it would cost extra and the hole would be replaced with a paintable PVC access door. I told him I would be willing to pay the extra for the drywall opening, and he proceeded to cut the opening. Upon removing the ceiling piece, the tech told me that he could not in fact reach all the necessary piping via his first cut out and would need to cut a second hole in the drywall. When he was done replacing the hose faucet, he patched the second hole with the PVC access panel as discussed. Then he drilled the first hole in the ceiling using four drywall screws. There were Sharpie marks and the ceiling piece was uneven. He then advised me to get some putty from a local hardware store and I could fix the ceiling hole myself. I attempted to contact PHP a few days later to see if this was normal practice and if they believed that this was done in error, or if it was something that I should simply deal with myself. I sent them a number of messages and even called their office; if they would have told me that they truly thought I should be the one to pay to fix the ceiling drywall hole, I would have begrudgingly taken that as an acceptable answer. But PHP was unwilling to respond at all. I have since paid to have my drywall repaired by a reputable Service Provider who was very easy to contact and did excellent work. It was important to me to that my basement look like it did before my faucet was replaced by PHP.

I had used PHP in the past, and they had impressed me with their honesty as well as their fair pricing. However, when the tech arrived, he admitted that he would need to charge quite a bit to get this issue fixed. I told him that I was fine with letting the company make a bit of profit, and asked him what the price would be. He seemed somewhat ashamed as he showed me the lowest price he was "allowed" to charge, which was just about 300 dollars. This was for literally less than five dollars' worth of parts. I was a bit shocked, and he admitted that I could get the parts for less than five dollars. I told him there was no way I was going to pay 60 times as much as it would cost to do it myself, and he told me he didn't blame me. He did give one piece of advice, which was to look for a special plumber's tool that they could use to tighten the nut onto the drain assembly. I appreciate the tech's honesty, and he showed up on time with a nice uniform and in a nice company vehicle. The scheduling was easy, and the people I've spoken with have all been friendly and willing to help. The pricing they offered me on this 2-minute job that required 5 dollars worth of parts has convinced me to never use them again. In fact, in the last few weeks I totally replaced my furnace and ductwork, and that 5000 dollar job was lost to them, as I was so disappointed by this price gouging. Hopefully this review helps warn what I still believe to be a good company to fix some major issues with their pricing.

this company was prompt and efficient in its estimating as well as execution. they were timely, professional and consultative. we would continue to use them as well as recommend them to others

After some false starts Randy showed up at the end of the window of time for the appointment. Rather than get to work dismantling the old faucet, he tested it and determined a replacement was not really needed. He fixed the leaks that had been plaguing us for some years by tightening the packing nut and now the 50 year old faucet works as intended. He also checked the faucet behind the house and tightened the fittings there, so it is also in great shape. I was happy to pay for the service call and will call on Randy again if I need more assistance. He was also very personable and, since there was some time available because fixing the faucet took much less time than a full replacement would have, we had a nice chat about gardening, hunting, and such things.

Vendor did not respond/communicate within the time frame. The above service date is not the actual date of service its the date the coupon was brought. The service was not performed.

It took three days to finally get an estimate over the phone.

Scheduling was a breeze, staff and technicians are always friendly and knowledgeable. Both technicians came out within the same window which made it easy on our schedules.

I think it was fine. He actually ended up charging me I think $69 which was refunded so I guess he didn't quite understand what the promotional offer was, but he seemed to fix the issue. I'm getting conflicting information regarding the electrical work I had them look at. He's telling me one thing, another electrician is telling me another thing so I don't know actually who to believe at this point, but I have nothing bad to say about them, and it's not bad, he just didn't understand I guess that he wasn't supposed to charge me but like I said, I got it refunded. I think they were quite prompt in scheduling and getting out here as well.

They were very good. We had a service call for our heating and air conditioning unit, and so we used the deal to basically pay for the service call. There weren’t any extra charges other than the service call, and so it was just the big deal amount. They actually did work but it was covered underneath the service call. There was no other cost needed. They’ve been very good to work with. The technicians that we’ve had over the past 2 years have been very prompt and proactive about calling ahead, and so we knew they were on their way. They even called when they finished their other job early and checked to see if they wanted us to reschedule it or not. So then they come out earlier.

I was afraid it would be a $15,000 job, but they fixed it for about $200. I chose them because I wanted to use somebody different and they had a deal where I could buy $29 for the service call. I had to adjust a toilet handle that they put in.

Inspected and cleaned unit. Performed measurement tests on the component parts.

Everything went well and it is in good working order. They had to access the water pipe by sawing into the drywall and drywall repair is not part of their purview according to the technician. Seems as though they would carry access doors in their trucks in this type of situation. He did tell me that they don't repair prior to doing so and I approved.

Didn't come when said would. Lied about it. Said they couldn't find address had east not west but as it was two digit number that would make them only one block apart. Didn't come next day when said they would. Lied about it again. After some discussion about actions that would be taken sent someone two hours later. Person did not perform tasks and wrote up an outrageous bid wanting among other things to charge me $00.00 for fixing a shower faucet. I would not have anything to do with them ever again.

Randy and Ryan came into our home and introduced themselves to my wife Robyn. They explained what they would be doing and even put on shoe covers so they would not track in dirt from outside. They got right to the task at hand. They conducted a couple of tests to determine if our sump pumps were operating correctly. They figured out that our primary sump pump did not work so they replaced the sump pump and also walked me through how it worked and what to expect. They also gave us information on our furnace and other services that they provide. Prior to leaving they cleaning up and returned things back to the way they found them. Very friendly and personable. Great experience and I would hire them again. I was very impressed that Ryan, the owner of the company, conducts visits with his employees to check that standards are upheld. Oh, I even purchased a maintenance program to keep my HVAC systems up to date. Thanks for the great service.

They provided a quick fix, friendly service and the cost was appropriate.

The deal called for a spigot replacement and a whole house plumbing inspection. I was pleased with the spigot install. When I asked about the whole house inspection the installer didn't know anything about it. I had to show him the deal on Angie's list. I didn't really care about it and it was not performed. He did answer some questions I had about my water softener. Overall it was a good deal.

They did a great job and I'm having them back for my furnace and plumbing.
