Plumbing Heating Paramedics

Wonderful. The plumber was prompt, called me on his way. I also asked that he check the sump pumps in my crawlspace, which he did.

The only quibble we had (as everything else went smoothly) was the plumber didn't realize the disposal was on a new sink and it had to be reconfigured. (which was explained on the telephone when the appt was made.) He had to come back the next day to actually do the work which was frustrating but the work and everything works beautifully.

I called in April to have them come and see what could be done to equal the home's temperature. We had just purchased a brand new house built in 2015 and knew we would have to do something to keep the house comfortable. Our previous house had a zoning system in it when we purchased it so we had an idea of what could be done. We had previously used Plumbing Heating Paramedics to replace the HVAC in our old house and was very please with their work. They were able to schedule us for later in the week and Bryan came out and looked at everything and said he would talk to Ryan (the owner) and they would come up with some options. Once provided with the options it was hard to pull the trigger since the existing unit wasn't even 6 months old and they understood and didn't rush me into it. Towards the middle of May after seeing the summer heat forecast decided that comfort was worth the cost. Selected to completely replace the existing system with a 96% efficient heater and 18 seer a/c adding a zoning system. About a week before the instal Ryan and his Dad came to the house to measure everything and map out the changes. They called before arriving and walked me through everything that would be done. Day of instal had 3 people come to work on removal and installation. Even though they had to stay to almost 7 they said they were working as long as it took to get it up in running. They put runners down on the stairs to keep from dragging any dirt in and were very professional. I had asked that I keep the old unit to be able to donate to Habitat for Humanity and they were were very careful when removing the system so it could be reused.

Once 5@AM in December I had no house water. A friend referred me to then great company I called at 10 AM. At 12 noon the plumber was here. The issued were repaired in a timely manace. In January at faulty part found during furnace tune up requiring. He ylo furnace replaced. Over worked with me on selecting the appropriate one & price was very competitive.

I initially called for a service call because it didn't feel like our water was being softened and the softener wasn't using salt. He looked it over, reminded me that it was 17 years old, tested the water, and said it was time for a new one. I've worked with Plumbing Heating paramedics for our furnace and air conditioning. They are great to work with, and I've found their techs to be very professional.

Went great. Plumber was very polite and did excellent work. Prices our reasonable. Highly recommend this company.

The install cost $250 and so far appears to be OK. However I have had two bad experiences with this company from a customer service stand point and I will highly recommend you NOT use them. First I called during what I consider a " crisis" I had a flooded basement (two inches of water throughout). The plumber called back and suggested I contact their partner remediation company "Five Star." Five Star was an extremely shady company (I provided a review on them as well) but luckily I also called another company "Midwest Remediation," and they were awesome!! (Provided a review in them too). Despite their horrible recommendation I contacted Plumbing Paramedics again to inquire about them installing a sump pump I already have. They quoted me a price of $200-250 which was higher than others but they were available sooner than another plumber I called. I expected the price to be $250 no matter what, so that is what I planned for. The lady I scheduled the appointment with also told me that this is an install with a year's warranty on it. When the guy came here he was not familiar with the pump I had (although I explained what it was over the phone...- Pro Series Para Pump). He started trying to negotiate a higher price, $300, then went down to $275 with a comment of "it's only $25 more" and finally agreed to the $250 max that I was originally quoted. It took him about 20 min. He cleaned up the area and all seems to be working well. Today I was trying to organize my files and noticed the plumber wrote "30 day labor warranty on the sheet signed" I called to inquire about this and the lady explained it was because I did not purchase the unit from them! That is NOT what I was told, I explained and she proceed to try to over talk me and point out what I should have "specifically asked" the lady I scheduled the appointment with. I repeated, "what more am I to ask if I say, do you install pre-purchased sump pumps," the reps answer, "yes," my next question, "how much would this be," she responded, "well it's an install so between $200-$250." I asked, "what is the warranty," she responded, "1 year on labor." The rep I talked to today said I should have specifically asked, "it's still a 1 year warranty if I did to purchase the unit from you?' WTH?!?! I take full responsibility for signing the darn paper without ready the notes clearly. However, the question I asked was clear enough and for the to try to twist their mistake is unacceptable. Birds of a feather flock together, do not contact this company or any of the parter companies they'd recommend. I just hope I do not have any issues with my sump pump but I can tell you I wouldn't contact this company if they were the only ones listed on Angie's List!! My ratings below has more to do with the company than the actual plumber although he did try to get me to pay $50 MORE than the max price I was quoted but he's pretty much in line with the company he works for on that.

This all started out with Ryan the owner giving us the estimate, and after we awarded him the contract, he and his father came out prior to the installation to ensure everything was going to fit and go over what we could expect the final system to look like. Everything with the installation went smooth. The HVAC installation crew Kyle, Cory and lead installer Jason were very friendly, courteous and professional. They made sure everything was installed to my satisfaction. The same can be said for Bryce the plumber. They cleaned up the things that were improperly installed by the original company when the home was built. They also cleaned up everything before left our house. The result is a very clean and professional looking system.

Plumbing Heating Paramedics were responsive to my call. They evaluated the situation promptly. They were timely the day of the replacement of my furnace and air conditioner. Very professional and helpful. I would use them again.

Excellent as always. Bobby called in advance with estimated time of arrival. Assessed a leaky sink faucet as well as a leaky shower faucet. Assessed both situations, discussed options and pricing, proactively asked for any coupons that I forgot I had and saved me $70 on the call alone. Discussed options that fit my budget and strategies with products I can use. Replaced sink hardware instead of repairing it (saved me money) and will comeback after I purchase the hardware for the shower.

The plumber showed up right on time and flushed the hot water heater and inspected all the faucets, indoor and outdoor. He also checked our sump pump to make sure it was working. The is part of a "customer care" annual membership, so the $149 I listed also includes a check up for the furnace and the air conditioner.

The $149 I listed is for an annual fee I pay for a customer care package that also includes plumbing inspection and a checkup for the air conditioner. This company also installed the furnace, and I've been super pleased with their products and their service. Their employees are great-I feel very comfortable having them in my home.

Everything went well. I purchased a big deal - to get the disposal I purchased separately online.

We had a tangle of gas pipes in the way of our basement remodel. Bryce came out, listened and talked over what we needed. Quoted right then. Price was a few dollars more than other quote but he seemed interested in doing it right. He came back, on time, in two days with all the parts and put in extra effort to get it better than we expected. Cleaned up after he was done. Good man. Pride in his craft.

The plumber was right on time. He drained and removed the old water heater and installed a new gas water heater. He was efficient and neat.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I noticed some water quality issues. Looking to get a professional in to check out the situation, I did a quick Google search, clicked on the first ad I found, found a coupon, verified the company wasn't terrible via Angies List, and had them to my house. I won't mention their name, but this very large and commercial company did a fine job--they flushed my water heater, visually checked my whole house's plumbing, and let me know that my water softener was not working. The tech was personable and gave me a quote for a new softener. When I saw dollar amount on their quote, I immediately started scouting for competitors and, thankfully, ran into Plumbing Heating Paramedics. After a quick call to their office, I was scheduled for an estimate 2 days later to see if my situation was a good fit for their $799 Angie's List deal. It was, but Bryce, the tech that is (very deservedly) raved about in many other Angie's List reviews, let me know the pros and cons of each option. His zero-pressure but give-you-all-the-info approach was a breath of fresh air. Not only did it let me make the right choice for our household, it very cleared showed why the large, more commercial company's quote was out-of-line. They were trying to sell me a softener that actually would have ended up costing more day-to-day in my situation (not to mention ~2.5x the up-front cost). It didn't take long to agree to have PHP take care of my softener replacement. On the day schedule, at the time scheduled, Bryce showed up eager to get started. This is the boring part. Everything went exactly according to plan, and, after a couple hours of working, he had fully handled the job. I signed a paper, shook his hand, and he was on his way. Here is the bottom line, though: After I talked to the larger, more-commercial company, I felt that they were very good. They knew their stuff and the tech was nice. Knowing zero about plumbing, I was happy as could be (until I saw their estimate). It took about 5 minutes of talking to Bryce to realize exactly how lacking my interaction was with the larger company, though. Where they would say things like, "You need an X sized softener that will provide Y gallons of water per charge," Bryce sat down, asked ME questions about my family and our usage, and crunched the numbers in front of me to show me exactly what I would need, why I would need it, and what would happen if I made a different choice. It really was incredible how night-and-day the experiences were. Oh, and a couple of hours after Bryce left, I had a voicemail from the actual owner of the company reaching out to thank me for my business and to confirm that everything went well. I have a feeling that type of thing wouldn't have happened had I gone with the guys I see on the TV commercials. Being an adult is weird, but I'm sitting here actually somewhat excited knowing that, if anything goes awry with my heating or plumbing systems going forward, I won't have to hunt around to find the best people or the best deal to get back on my feet. I'll have PHP on speed dial to handle the situation and will be able to rest easily.

From start to finish, nothing but the best service and a job well done! This is my 3rd time using these guys...once for a/c, once for plumbing and now gas leak...I'm a customer for life!

Our garbage disposal broke, so we looked on Angie's List for a deal and found PHP. They installed a new garbage disposal (that we purchased from Lowes). The total cost for installation was $149 including the service call. They were prompt and finished the job in less than an hour. Great job!

He got here on time, took out the old toilet (which he hauled away when he left), put in the new one lickety-split.

Scheduled in a timely manner. Showed up on time. Provided insightful analysis and feedback. Estiimate for recommended services seemed high. Ended up hiring a different plumber at a lower cost.

Plumbing Heating Paramedics were phenomenally kind, concerned for the warmth of our two children and dogs, sensitive to our work schedule and knowledgeable. Willie is likened to the uncle that can fix everything, is super friendly, funny and kind to our dogs. We signed the yearly service agreement to ensure they are the only people that will ever touch my HVAC system. Couldn't be happier!

the service person recharged the refrigerant for my central AC. He advised that there was a part that might break soon (in the next few months) and gave me an option to have it replaced as well. I opted against it, even though the service person's point was that it'd save me money on labor and the call-out fee. I wouldn't necessarily say that he was trying to upsell me or snooker me, but I haven't had any problems since. The AC *is* working again, he definitely did that part right! I didn't see until later that there are bible verses on their billing paperwork, which is not an attractive feature in my book. I'd only use them again if they were the only HVAC servicers available.

Issue was fixed. He explained the issue and solutions. Responsive and helpful as always.
