Plumbing Heating Paramedics

Bought the Angie's list "Big Deal" for a $29.99 service call. Called to schedule and they came out the very next day. Found the problem to be the capacitor which they replaced (for $249.00.) That price seemed a little high, but who can complain when they came out the very next day/spur of the moment from purchasing the service call deal and calling to schedule. I also went ahead and purchased an annual contract to have my A/C, Furnace and Plumbing inspected/checked/serviced AND when they come out to do the Plumbing inspection I asked for them to just go ahead and replace my old water heater (this will be performed on May 21st.)

1st visit: $99 to repair the faucet outside of my house. The provider was on time. He said that I needed another part that would cost an additional $40. As other customers stated in their reviews, he had to go and get the part. Seemed strange that he would not already have the part since the special was for "$99 for Frost Free Outdoor Hose Faucet Replacement plus Whole House Plumbing inspection"!!!! He "located" the provider and arranged to come back and complete the job. He returned 6 days later and still was not able to repair the faucet on the outside of my house. He said that he would need to remove my toilet in the downstairs bath and cut a hole in the wall to repair the faucet!!!!! I told him that I did not want him to do that but that I planned to have the bath remodeled and might be able to do it then. He told me that he would return at that time to complete the job at that time. He agreed to hold my $99 until that time. Months later my hot water heater was not working working properly and I need to have it repaired. I called PHP and asked if I could use the $99 towards the repair. This issue had occurred before so I was very sure I knew what the issue was. In the past the repair had been completed at a very minimal cost and time ( less than 20 minutes and about $15 dollars). PHP told me that I could use my credit but he would still charge me an additional $75. I was shocked! I told him that seemed like a lot of money compared to what had been done before. Also, how would he know how much the repair would be when he had not even been to the house yet. I already felt cheated. In the meantime I went to Angie's List and noticed that PHP had a deal for $29 for a plumbing service call. So I thought, I'll buy it and then use the $99 for the rest of the job! Sounds good right. I knew the job would be simple and would not take a lot of time. When the plumber arrived, (timing not so good this time, but still within the 2 hour window but just barely) I told him EXACTLY what to do. He took my advice and in less than 40 minutes had the job done. He did a little more than the previous plumber because he also replaced a part. When I received the bill it was for $175!!!! I was shocked. He then asked me if I had paid $29 for the deal. I told him yes and he lined through the amount for the "service charge", applied the $99 "credit" and told me I owed $76 more. I was very angry and just wanted this guy gone. PHP had already decided they were going to charge me $75 for the repair. I ended up paying more and wasted my $29 dollars on the deal. I feel PHP was dishonest and cheated me. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!!! As stated in other reviews, they routinely charge significantly more once they are on sight. It happened to me both times. I am seriously writing to the BBB. Still angry.

Bought service on Angies List BIG DEAL to replace outside faucet & conduct whole house plumbing inpsection. Company was very prompt in scheduling & plumber was very punctual. Work was done effectiently & he answered all my questions

We had an issue with a high whisling sounds when water was first turned on. Plumber inspected several things in the house to see if he could determine the problem. He made a suggestion to replace a valve ($150) but counld not guarantee that was the problem. I did not respond back for any further follow-up and there is no longer any noise when we turn on the water. Might have been a fluke....No real work was completed.

The workers made a great team and the overall experience was great. I was very pleased with the work. Both workers made sure to wear booties inside and cleaned up completely.

If you have a leaky faucet it is cheaper to replace it than have someone repair it. It does not matter how new the faucet is.

He indicated they will come back each year to drain the water heater and that it makes noises because of the hard water build up that is already in the bottom of it.

We have an large old house that has a geothermal heat pump installed, so we have a lot of extra water piping. Understandably, it was a little difficult for the tech to sort out which pipes belonged to what... Technician did a visual inspection of the pump housing, pressure tanks and they checked fine. Interestingly, the pump stopped working just a couple days after the visit. There was no "warranty" on the inspection, and when I called to report the problem and schedule a visit, the emergency and trip charge was financially prohibitive. One may have had nothing to do with the other, but a completely broken pump occurring so quickly on the heels of an inspection which was supposed to forestall problems left me feeling suspicious.

We had a continuously running toilet and after trying a few self handyman ideas, I decided to call. I described what I did, the service took and look described what look like a possible broken plastic piece. Hi "fix" was to simply finish breaking off the rest of the lip. It stopped the problem, but after feeling very uncomfortable and compelled to watch and make sure my toilet flushed properly every time we used it; I decided to do some more research and learn how to make an official repair of the toilet flushing mechanisms.

I bought faucet replacement special. Called provider they were prompted and very professional on how the performed the service,

They were able to set-up an appointment readily. It turned out that we did not need the new faucet but there was a short list of other plumbing needs that they worked on for us. Each of the small jobs was completed quickly and they let us use the prepaid coupon to cover those jobs. They will definitely return to our home

I called early in the morning and they had a plumber out the same day. I had to pay $100.00 extra because my soft water tank is in front of the heater and that was a royal P.I.A. The Plumber who came out was informative, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and all around good guy. Very happy with the whole experience.

Initially, appointment time was wrong but the company worked to make it fit my schedule. Repair was done quickly and the result was very satisfactory. I plan to use the company again soon.

Everything was professional

I had to wait several months for them to be available. I can't even remember what I paid for this deal, but I didn't feel I got much at all from his call. I need a spigot installed in my back yard, but he didn't address that. I have two toilets that occasionally run, but he didn't address that. I'm not sure what I expected, but I was pretty unimpressed.

Plumbing Heating Paramedics what they did was fine. I used them a couple months ago. I was unhappy with, I told them before they came out that I had a gas leak in the fireplace. And all that the thing that I purchased, I'm not a plumber so, I wouldn't know what an inspection entails. They should have told me. At the time there was going to be that they weren't going to be able to help me under that, under what I paid for. And no one disclosed that to me. They came out and did their inspection for my plumbing, whatever that is. They said your faucets work which I was aware of. I don't have any problems with my plumbing. And they flushed my water heater which I didn't watch them doing that. I called them back and no one returned my call. Then I called again or I e-mailed them and no one responded. Then I called to talk to someone, and I talked to an owner. They quoted $350 to fix my gas line when they came out. And all he said was I couldn't do that. When you purchased that thing you get $150 or whatever, and that was all they offered to do for me. They kept saying what would you like and I was like I would have liked for you to be honest with me. I'm kind of have a bad taste in my mouth. I don't know that they really did anything wrong. I don't think they were forth coming. I really didn't see there was anything, I don't think they even brought a ladder. I don't see how they worked in a nine foot basement ceiling and a not very well lit area, he wasn't an NBA player so I don't think he could see up there.

Excellent. They were very professional and prompt. They were very friendly. I would recmmend this company to my friends and neighbors. It's nice to have a company that provides what it promises without trying to push other services at you. They did offer other services, but were not pushy about it.

This is our second time using the P. H. Paramedics. The first was the purchase and installation of a water softener. We scheduled with the always courteous Heather approximately two weeks in advance. The plumber arrived a few minutes early. He was courteous and professional. He installed the sink, faucet, and garbage disposal quickly and cleanly. If we need a plumber again we will be calling Plumbing Heating Paramedics.

The inspection went well. They didn’t really find anything, but gave me peace of mind that my systems were running smoothly.
