One of the trees originally installed did not thrive so they offered to replace it, I asked if they could move it and they did. They followed through and did what they said they would do.

Everything turned out great. Jeff and Chris are great to work with, very responsive and are really meticulous about the quality of the work.

We signed a contract with them in March, and they didn't get to us till August.

They had excellent workers. It looked absolutely beautiful when they left, the problem is it didn't last. It probably didn't last for more than 3 years. We started seeing problems. We did ask them to come back and redo some of the hardscape, and that looked good after they left, but again, that didn't stay because the retaining wall is not doing well. 

Immediate product is beautiful, but it doesn't last more than a couple of years. It was $50000 so we had anticipated it lasting for quite a while. That was a real disappointment. It would be worth $50000 if it were still good today. That's the price for the quality.

They were really very slow on getting out to us and then when we asked them to come back and fix it, if I remember correctly, they were slow on that too. We won't have them back.

That was really frustrating because now we will have to spend tens of thousands of dollars more to have it redone by somebody else. That wasn't good.

Jeff was responsive, communicated well through email, and promptly responded to questions.  Scheduling was tough because of how busy they were, but given the time we had the work scoped and scheduling, that isn't surprising.  They were able to install the patio 3 weeks early due to an opening, and the installation was done in a day.  No puddling, drained well, solid.

I spent a lot but they were competitive.  The overall experience with them was great.  They were all very professional and punctual.  They did a great job.  They just recently had to come out and replace a tree, and they did it right away.

They get the job done. It was nice. They're very responsive.

We've had good luck with them. They did some of our original planting and stone work and came back to do some repairs and updating it. We've been happy with them. The price is agreeable to us. It isn't too bad.

It was a good design and we like the individuals we dealt with but we went with another company for the work due to price and we liked their design better.

Aspen was fantastic from the moment I first began with designer Monica to the installation of the hardscape by the crew who worked through rain to complete on time to the landscape crew who did beyond what they were agreed to in contract. The quality of workmanship and the pleasure they were to work with was outstanding. I highly recommend their services and will definitely engage them again for future landscape needs. 

We were blown away by the design and the attention to detail shown by the owner, Jeff Behlmer.  We would have never imagined that the rear of our house could look so good.  This great design was implemented to perfection by their hardscape crew and their landscape crew.  We waited 9 plus years to do this and are sorry now that we waited so long.  It gives us an outdoor living area that we have never had and adds so much to the appearance of the house.  If you are considering an outdoor addition to your house, Jeff and the crew at Aspen will make your dreams come true.

I cannot even explain in words how great this company is.  The detail they put in is amazing.  Sitting down to go over everything in detail and giving you not only options, but suggestions.  They are not about trying to upsell you on anything, but actually helping you in the process.  The actual crew was amazing as they kept the workspace clean and neat.  I will recommend them to all of my neighbors and friends.  Can't wait to get the front done next year!

The entire process from planning, to tear out,  to planting went well.  Jeff, the owner, was very thorough and reworked plans when I asked.  The two men who installed the landscaping were very polite and hard workers.  They answered questions with good detail and expertise.  All of their mess was cleaned up daily before they left.  The only negative was the lack of communication from the project manager, Chris.  There were times when they wouldn't show up due to weather in the morning where I felt they could have showed up later in the day.  Except for one email letting me know the planting would be late due to the cold weather and the amount of material that needed to be transplanted I did not hear from Chris unless I called him.  Overall, it was a good first landscape experience.

They've done lots of things for us. They're truly excellent. We had no patio, no lawn, no landscape or anything and they've really helped with it. They have competitive pricing but they're very professional and the crew that work for them are trained in specific areas and very professional as well. We got five neighbors to use them.

It is really nice. He did a nice job. I was really pleased with how they did it and how it turned out and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

They were friendly, efficient, responsive and left an immaculately landscaped space for us to enjoy!

After searching around found Aspen Outdoor Designs.  We just built a new home and were thinking about having a professional design the landscape and build a patio.  After meeting with Aspen we had them design the landscape for the property.  They are extremely detailed and didn't leave any stones uncovered.  After reviewing the designed (which we both loved), realized we would start with the first phase and have a professional do everything.  They installed our custom paver patio along with retaining walls.  Also included on the patio was a custom built outdoor fireplace.
Their crews are one of the best we have ever worked with.  Could not even tell they were here, very professional and left the work area very clean each day.  
They are very easy to buy from, will help put items into phases and will help make sure you are completely comfortable before moving forward with them.  Will be using them for work in the front of the house next summer.

Jeff Belhmer came out and gave me a design for my back yard.  I knew it was going to be a big job so I had to get a estimated price and save for it.  After I had time to save for this huge project, I called Jeff back and got on their schedule.  My back yard is on a hill, and had previously had many trees which had been cut down and stumps left cut to ground level.  Grass was spotty and weedy and drainage was terrible!  I have four big dogs and so it was just a mud bath every time it rained!  
The design called for a nice woodchip path for the dogs to run along the fence, some easy care, beautiful flowering shrubs, a flagstone walkway and natural boulder retaining wall to help with the elevation change, and finally SOD!   A special type of grass that could hold up to the pitter patter of 16 extra feet!   I didn't even know there was a special type of grass like that!  But Jeff knew!
The project start was delayed a bit by the weather, but once it got started, it moved quickly!   The guys that came to my home were wonderfully polite, worked like dogs, and didn't mind me taking pictures to document the whole experience!   The transformation is incredible and I couldn't be happier with the results!  It's been three weeks since the trucks drove away from my house for the last time, and the sod has caught well, the dogs are finally able to run in their new yard ( I had it fenced off to let the sod get started) and the results are dramatic!    Check out the pictures!
I can't thank Jeff and his guys enough for the excellent work they did!  All aspects of this transaction and service were enjoyable and pleasant - even the payment part!   No body likes parting with that much money - but I was happy to do it because of the dramatic, beautiful results!   It was worth every penny!    I could have never done anything this amazing on my own, and any attempt would have left me exhausted, frustrated, taken a year or more to complete, and still with a ton of mud!
I would definitely call Aspen Outdoor Designs again!

We executed the plan in 2 phases: removing the old shrubs and path, putting in the new path and preparing the planting beds, followed by putting in all the plants in late spring.  Chris and his crew worked very efficiently and did a fantastic job putting in the path.  I was particularly impressed with how thorough they were with the foundation of the path.  The also fixed the water issue we had in heavy rain situations by properly grading the yard and connecting the downspouts to large underground hoses, leading the water away from the house.  This works beautifully.  In the spring they worked with us on the plants and incorporated some of the existing plants we had in the design. One year later, it is coming in very nicely just like they predicted.  We are now really enjoying our front yard thanks to the beautiful path and plants and are actually using it a lot more.  Many people walking by have complimented us on our front yard.  We couldn't be happier.

Jeff Belmer is a wonderful person to work with. We started this earlier in 2011 and he worked with me over several months to get it right and at the price I needed. I called him about 3 weeks ago and said I was ready to start and he met with me that week, we finalized things and the work started the next Monday. They finished what they could finish over the next 2 weeks and it is beautiful. We still have some work to finish in the spring but I love working with Jeff and Chris! Great job guys!

We contacted Aspen after being impressed with their social network advertising via YouTube.  Jeff made the initial visit and we explained the concept we wanted.  Jeff was very easy to work with.  In addition to our patio project, we explained some changes we wanted to make to landscaping on the side of our house.  Jeff took plenty of time in our initial meeting to understand our needs and ideas and he gave us ideas while we were outside walking the project.  Jeff explained they would need around 3 weeks to get back to us with the initial design ideas and drawings.  They hit that date exactly (we were hoping to move quicker) and Jeff came back out to present the design and drawings.  They were worth the wait and were very well done; Jeff also presented the plans in a three dimensional format on his laptop.  We decided to make a few changes to see what the impact would be on the price.  Jeff was very open to this process and explained how they wanted to make sure to do a project with which all of us were going to be happy.  He came back out a week later with our changes; we liked them.  We then took his plans and made some final adjustments to get to our target price that we wanted to spend and signed the contract.  They were able to start the work within the week.

The building process went very well; the workers were all very kind and friendly and did very good work.  We encountered a small problem early in the process and they were very good at discussing it with us as it was getting resolved.  The only thing we would have liked to see done better would be on the communication side as the project was winding down.  We had to call a couple of times to find out the next step and this was after waiting to hear from them for a couple of extra days.

Jeff came back out for our final walk through and quality check and explained how to best care for our new plantings. 

In summary, we had an excellent experience with Aspen.  Jeff is very professional as is his team and we are very pleased with the high quality of their work.  Their price was a little higher than some others but their quality was worth the extra money.  We will use this company without hesitation in the future for additional landscaping work. 

They did an excellent design. Blake was the landscape architect that helped us. He came up with something very innovative. I thought it was amazing how quickly and efficiently they were able to do the paver work.

When they were finished, they provided much more than I expected; Jeff told me that this is HIS expectation.If I ever need other work done that Aspen provides, I will not hesitate to contact them first.

Aspen was not the least expensive, but I liked his ideas, responsiveness and he was the most professional and knowledgeable of the contractors I interviewed.
