They were absolutely wonderful. The windows were excellent. Our neighbors even saw them and went with them. Their price was very good. They did an excellent job. They installed quality windows and we could tell the difference immediately. They did an excellent job with the installation. They came immediately and gave us the quote. They installed the windows when they said they were going to. They had a knowledgeable crew that installed the windows. They just did an excellent job. We’ve had no trouble with the windows at all. They were excellent. We would use their services again in the future.

Todd told me they would be there to install between 9 and 9:30 and they arrived at 9 and went to work right away.  Todd and his brother worked until 4 or so to complete the job and never took a break.  They cleaned up everything well.  I was happy with the work and would hire again. 

Todd and his brother were very friendly and professional. We had them come out for an estimate around the end of March. They gave us an estimate on the 2 windows replaced along with 2 other windows that need replaced. Todd gave us a price without hassling us about replacing the 2 other windows, but did advise us that they would need replaced soon. When the windows came in around the end of April, Todd and his brother came out and took out the old windows and put in the new ones. They had to come back the next day to finish the caulking and casement outside. The windows look great and match well with our outdoor trim. We were very happy with the service and reasonable pricing. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Project went very well. Wood root was discovered when two windows were removed and woudl not have been found if we had used replacement windows. We ended up replacing the T-111 siding with fiber-cement board.  

We had already suffered through two other estimates from window salesmen before I got in touch with Todd; one seemed suspiciously inexpensive and the other seemed much too expensive. I learned more about window construction/sales/installation from talking to Todd for 10 minutes on the phone than I had sitting with the other two men for three hours. When he came out to show us a sample and give us an estimate, we knew he was the right choice—knowledgeable, friendly, and reasonably priced. I called him back out a few days later to measure the windows and draw up a contract, and we paid half of the total as a deposit. Our windows were ready about six weeks later and we made an appointment for installation; Todd said it wouldn't take more than a day to complete the job. Two installers arrived late on the day of installation, apparently due to a delay beyond their control at the pick-up location. They were annoyed to find that I hadn't removed the blinds, not at me but at Todd for not mentioning that I should have. The installers, Bill and Robby, were friendly and thorough but progress was slow, maybe a little slower than it needed to be. Todd visited the site, spoke to me and to them, and went on his way. The installers kicked off early the first day with less than half of the work done. My husband came home from work to find that, not only were there uninsulated gaps around the windows, seven of our new windows were leaning up against a tree on the side of our house awaiting installation. He called Todd, who came over to explain what was acceptable (the small gaps) and what was not (the windows-on-the-tree situation). It became clear to us then that Bill and Robby were not Todd's employees but subcontractors, which may explain why they called him "that guy" in conversation. Installation was completed on the second day, even though the weather was rainy and much worse than the previous day. The house stunk due to the silicone caulk, especially since we couldn't open the windows because of the rain, but the windows looked GREAT. Bill and Robby did an excellent job caulking and capping the windows, and we were extremely happy with the product itself. Todd came by the next business day to collect the balance due and his yard sign, plus apologize again for the things that were less than ideal. Time will tell if there is a marked improvement in temperature transfer (or lack thereof) and noise control but so far we are impressed. The windows look great, feel great, and come with a solid warranty. Todd was easy to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again. As a matter of fact, I recommended him to my sister-in-law (who needs a patio door) and plan to use him to replace our storm doors.

They inflated the price of the windows. With the $349.00 I paid when it was all finished and said I could have purchased two windows of same quality some place else. I got a refund of my $349.00 from Angie's List.

Todd Pickett, and his brother, completed this job in less than one day. They also did a great job cleaning up the construction trash. I AM LATE with this report because I wanted to go through the winter and feel the effectiveness of these new windows. They ARE so much better than our old wood windows. I would use this company again and have referred them to two of our friends.

We contacted Todd of Affordable Window & Construction Co. after we had already had four other highly ranked Angie?s List window companies visit, discuss options, and provide quotes. Although my wife and I, for the most part, were satisfied with some of the other quotes we had obtained, one of my employees could not say enough about Todd, and that prompted us to obtain a fifth quote. We are very glad we did this! Todd was knowledgeable and provided greater insight into several aspects of the work that needed to be performed. Although we had measurements, that many of the other companies borrowed, Todd took careful initial measurements and provided an estimate that was one to three thousand dollars less than the other companies. Moreover, we very much liked the fact he was going to be involved in the whole process with his installer Doug. After we decided to use them, we were very happy we did so. He came and did a final estimate, ordered the windows, and delivered them as soon as they came in. He then introduced us to Doug. Doug was great and did a flawless job, absolutely perfect, installation. Todd dropped by routinely to check on the job, which was completed in 3 days as planned. Both he and Doug did a final walk through and left the place very clean. We have now had the windows for a little over seven months and have had no issues with them. In fact, the new windows noticeably lessened the nuisance of the cold winter weather. I should add that in November we were unfortunately burglarized. The burglars entered the house via kicking in the front door. After my first call to the police, my second call was to Todd, who immediately came out and boarded up the door for us. That was great, as I was planning on doing that myself, but he was glad to help. We ordered a new door then and there from him. This time he had two other installers and his twin brother, Rodd, come, and like Doug these guys were very good. We are very glad to know Todd and, as exemplified by contacting him for our door, would never hesitate to have him do more work for us in the future. Simply stated he and his crew are outstanding!

Todd was very knowledgable and took initial measurements. Gave an excellent presentation and estimate. After we decided to use them, he came and did a final estimate. He ordered and the windows and installed them as soon as they came in. We are very pleased and fell that we also got an excellent price for an exceptional product.

Todd did a great job with replacing my windows. He even took the blinds down and then put them all back up, which was so helpful! He also made a seperate trip to show me the proper way to open and close the windows.

Had Todd come over, measure and give us a price on replacement. Had 3 estimates from different companies. Affordable was the best price and best value. A time was set to install, his guys were here, everything was done very well. Todd was also on site to over see workmanship. We are very pleased, and will have his company do work for us in the future.

I have lived in my home for 10 years and have known that new windows would really benefit energy savings and property value should I ever decide to move. I saw Affordable Windows through Angie's List where they were participating in The Big Deal. My logic was find a company that can do a great job, save some money and be able to take advantage of the 2010 Energy Star tax credit. I succeeded in all of the above by contacting Affordable Windows. The owner of the company came out to discuss options and give me an estimate. At that time I signed an agreement and provided a partial payment so the new windows could be ordered. I was told it would take approximately 6 weeks. The new windows were installed over a 3 day period by a phenomenal window installer. Everything turned out great! The new windows gave my home a beautiful face lift. The owner made arrangement to bring the final paperwork over that I needed for the Energy Star tax credit and so I could pay for the completion of the job. I will very likely call Affordable Windows in the future when I am ready to look into siding options as well. They do more than just windows so that was good news.

Todd came to the house and we discussed what I needed and I ordered six windows. Half the payment was required up ordering and windows arrived in approximately 4 weeks. Two crew installed windows and cleaned up debris afterwards.

WE EMPLOYED THEM LAST YEAR TO REPLACE FOUR WINDOWS AND WERE EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THEIR PROFESSIONAL APPROACH AND THEIR HIGH QUALITY WORKMANSHIP. WE WERE SO SATISFIED THAT WE AGAIN EMPLOYED THEM FOR THIS REPLACEMENT AND WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANY WHO ARE LOOKING FOR A COMPANY WHICH PROVIDES VERY HIGH QUALITY WORK IN A VERY PROFESSIONAL MANNER. WE WILL EMPLOY THEM AGAIN SHOULD WE NEED THEIR SERVICES.

Todd came out to the house to do the estimate for the work in a timely fashion. I had four quotes done for the project as we not only wanted replacement windows, but larger windows and new windows added. I explained the major work that we wanted performed. I told Todd that we had found a couple picture windows in the family room that needed to be removed and the rot in the wall and floor removed and repaired. Todd stated that their company could do that type of work through their construction side along with the enlargement of the other window openings and the new opening for a new window that we wanted. I stressed to Todd that the two windows in the family room were a priority and we wanted them done ASAP and would pay extra to get them done on a priority basis quicker than the remainder of the windows. We wanted them done first as we had started installation of a new hardwood floor and had come to a immediate hault on the floor when we found the rotted subfloor and wall at the windows. Todd said this wouldn't be a problem and he could get the 2 replacement windows in about 2 weeks and there would not be any additional costs. Todd also said that he wanted to bring out his brother to look over the job as it was quite complicated (not just a replacement window job). Later that week we found that we also had water leakage and rot around 2 of the 3 picture windows in the breakfast room and we called Todd to get a quote to add these to the project. Todd came back out promptly and we added them to the order. The only problem was that the 2 windows in the living room did not get ordered immediately and the whole order went in at the same time and we ended up waiting 4 weeks for the entire order to come in. Once the order came in, Todd had his crew come in and started the work and they did a great job on the removal and replacement of the rotted wood. They also were very good at enlarging the windows and cutting out and installing the entirely new window in the family room. The quality of their work made up for the wait on the original 2 windows that we wanted done quickly. All was going very well until they went to install the new bow window and found out that the manufacturer had sent a bay window instead of the bow..... Todd re-ordered the window and we had to wait an additional 3 weeks for the bow window to come in! Once it came in Todd immediately had it installed and it looks great also. All in all, Affordable Windows did a high quality job and we are very happy with the results. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing replacement or custom windows installed. Our only issues were the initial added wait time for the living room windows and then the extra 3 week delay on completing the project for the bow window.

Pretty well. I had several window companies come out. One was almost twice the price and the other was the same. I had a contract with them first, but Mr. Window cancelled my contract once they measured my windows and found out they would need to be custom made.

They had a great sense of attention to detail and they communicated well. They were here when they said they would be and they finished the job when they said they would. They cleaned up the work area every day and they were very pleasant to work with. We had good results in the end.

Two years ago this company installed several replacement windows for us. Because of their excellent work and product we contacted them again to do another job for us. Todd, the owner/salesman, is easy to talk with and is very knowledgeable concerning replacement doors and windows. He discussed with us the pros and cons of the different patio doors. In the past we have dealt with several contractors and Todd is by far the best in quick response to phone calls. He was at the job location several times to be sure supplies were delivered (or delivered himself) and that the work was progressing well. After the windows were installed we decided to move one . Our contractor removed the window and reframed it. Rod, Todd's brother and partner, came out and reinstalled the window at no charge to us. These men are conscientious, trustworthy and dependable. The product they sell has won national awards. We would definitely recommend them to others.

The original installation date had to be postponed due to a very bad thunderstorm. But the following Saturday three installers arrived and got to work. They worked straight through the day. They ran out of wrap material and retuned on Monday to finish one window. The installers were very porfessional and courteous and did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave any trash or mess behind. The windows look great and make the house look great. I can finally open all the windows in my house. Plus, they are so easy to clean. We live on a busy street, but since the new windows the hosue seems quieter. Looking forward to lower utility bills.

As usual, Todd was right on time for the appointment. He got straight down to business answering the main question we had (total cost). Once we determined what was in our budget, Todd started the ordering process and in about three weeks time we had all of the windows installed. Doug (the installer) is great. He really makes sure that he does the job well, even if it means it takes a little longer than he expected. We are very happy with our new windows and have had many comments on how they have improved the look of the house.

The work was excellent and the new windows are easy to operate and provide much better security and energy efficiency than the 50 year old ones. Todd was very professional and easy to work with. Doug did a top-notch job on installation.

They were very straight forward. There was one gentleman. He answered all of my questions. I liked his personality. He wasn't trying to sell me the window. Basically the window was going to sell itself, or he didn't care. I liked how straight forward he was. The gentleman that installed the windows had a lot of personal things going on that day, and I learned a lot about him.

It was excellent. The sales person was very knowledgable. The installer had a great amount of experience and excellent installation.
