Family Auto Service Center

My estimate started out at $230. It ended up being $333! That's even after I made a complaint about their service and they reduced my bill by $60.
I dropped off my truck on a Sunday night. I never received a call from them until I called on Wednesday. They tried to up-sell me a brake job and a new battery right off the bat. I had informed them I only needed an oil change and tune up and figure why it was running rough and not idling. They said I needed new plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor (Wow!), so I said to go ahead and do it.
On Friday I called and was informed that my truck was finished and I could pick it up. I asked for them to come pick me up like they advertized they would do and was informed there was no one there to come get me. (I live less than two miles from their shop). Okay, I get my friend to take out of their work and come give me a ride. It was snowing and cold or I would have walked, but thanks to my friend Bryan I didn't have to.
I walked in and was handed a bill for $401!! I complained and the owner overheard me talking and decided to knock $60 off the bill to be "a good neighbor" after much arguing back and forth between us.
I went to leave and the truck was still running rough, will not idle and my low tire was still low. (They say they check tire pressures with an oil change). I went back in to complain and was told to bring it back in. I have a very busy schedule and this is difficult for me to accommodate their scheduling. I was so angered by these people that I opted to have my vehicle re-timed elsewhere. (At MY cost).
They did change the plug wires, plugs, dist. cap and rotor. The plug wires were not put back and strung like they should have been. Very sloppy. I could go on about several other things, but this is turning into a novel with even this short version. I will never use this substandard shop again and would not suggest it to anyone else.
