They came out right away, and made good progress but couldn't take the entire tree down the first day. The second day they took the rest of the tree down and cut most of it into manageable lengths. We had to leave before they were done, so I wrote Daniel a check. We came back to find that much (perhaps half) of the wood had not been hauled away, as agreed. What was worse, they had damaged a neighbor's fence, repairs to which cost $225. Repeated calls to Daniel's voicemail were not answered. Including the damage to the fence and a few more dollars to take care of the logs, it ended up costing us $350 more than was originally bid, and $250 more than I had agree to pay.
Description of Work: The owner, Daniel Rodriguez, gave a written estimate for taking down a large shagbark hickory tree close to our house that had died, and hauling away the wood. The original estimate was actually $750, but after it became clear that they had underbid, I agreed to pay an extra $100.
