+ -1 moreTHEY ARRIVED AN HOUR AND A HALF LATE, AND THEY TOOK ALL AFTERNOON TO DO THE WORK INSTEAD OF THE ONE HOUR THEY ORIGINALLY SAID IT WOULD TAKE. THEY DID NOT GIVE US A CALL TO SAY THEY WOULD BE LATE, NOR DID THEY GIVE US A NEW ESTIMATE FOR HOW LONG THE WORK WOULD TAKE. THEY ALSO LEFT INSULATION ALL OVER THE GARAGE, CLOSET, THE ADJOINING ROOMS OF THE HOUSE, AND OUR DRIVEWAY. IN SHORT, THEY LEFT OUR HOUSE A MESS. IT TOOK SEVERAL HOURS OF VACUUMING AND CLEANING TO GET THE HOUSE BACK TO USABLE CONDITION. OUR GARAGE AND BASEMENT ALSO FLOODED BECAUSE THE DRAIN IN THE DRIVEWAY WAS CLOGGED WITH LEFTOVER INSULATION. THEY WERE ALSO NOT UPFRONT WITH US ABOUT THE PROBLEMS WITH THEIR ESTIMATE AND TRIED TO FORCE US TO PAY THE FULL AMOUNT WHEN THEY DID NOT DO ALL THE WORK.
Description of Work: THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BLOW INSULATION INTO THE CEILING OF OUR GARAGE AND ONE CLOSET IN OUR HOUSE. THEY DID PUT INSULATION IN THE CEILING OF THE GARAGE, HOWEVER, THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE THE CLOSET BECAUSE OF STRUCTURAL ISSUES IN OUR HOUSE. WE WOULD HAVE BEEN UNDERSTANDING IF THEY JUST EXPLAINED THIS TO US. INSTEAD THEY TRIED TO FORCE US TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE ESTIMATED AMOUNT EVEN THOUGH THEY DID NOT DO ALL THE WORK PROMISED. THEY SAID THEY WOULD SEND AN INSPECTOR OUT AND IF HE FOUND INSULATION IN THE CLOSET WALLS WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE WHOLE PRICE. I THINK IT WAS A BLUFF, BECAUSE WHEN THE INSPECTOR GOT TO OUR HOUSE HE DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT THE CLOSET AND INSTEAD JUST OFFERED US A DISCOUNT ON THE PRICE ($140 OFF). THE ORIGINAL ESTIMATE WAS FOR $615, BUT WAS NOT ITEMIZED. WE PAID THE $475 SO THAT WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THEM ANY MORE.

+ -1 moreDARREN, THE ESTIMATOR, WAS A SUPER GUY. THE ONLY REASON WE DID NOT USE THIS COMPANY WAS THEY DID NOT OFFER A PARTICULAR METHOD OF CRAWLSPACE INSULATION APPLICATION.
