Updike Bathroom Remodeling

They were pretty good, the guy came out, showed me the product, and provided me with an estimate within a timely manner. I haven't gone through with the job yet, because I had other work come up.I liked that he brought the material so that I could see it, and he brought pictures of his previous work, and he was good, he did measurements as well. He was in the price range he should be. He may be slightly higher than others, but not too much.

Went great. Very responsive and patient - it was our first remodel. The owner walked us through everything. Lots of choices for materials. Provided us with many samples. The only things they don't offer to provide are light fixtures, tile and painting. But they did give us suggestions for tile people and painters to work with. The price might seem high, but we did put in a really nice jet tub and went with some of the more expensive materials. Had we chosen others, our price would have been much lower. The installers were wonderful! Very polite and helpful. Would definitely use Updike again.

Jeremy was our installer. He was friendly, professional and always on time. Jeremy did an excellent job and we are very satisfied with the results.

I've used them before.  I made arrangements in 2013 for this job, they are that good.  The "team" worked their butts off to make sure it was a guilty project.

Very knowledgeable and helpful people to deal with. Dan came out and gave us some good suggestions to go with what we had already been considering and his estimate was reasonable. This was in December, around the 10th, 2013. He estimated they could begin about the middle of March of this year and it was right on target. Work at our house began Mar. 13 with work as follows on 1st bathroom: New cabinet with mirror front and lights over sink; new tile floor replacing vinyl flooring and new, tall model toilet. Work began Mar. 17th on the master bath as follows: New tile floor, Tear out and replace shower unit, replace top and new sinks and faucets over existing cabinet and reset existing tall toilet. We were very pleased with the work of Jeremy, the installer, who cleaned up after each portion of tearing out and removing old material and for his expert and careful installation of the new materials. He also did electrical and plumbing hookups, furnishing the complete service, without resorting to subcontractors.

Richard and Adam were very professional, friendly and efficient. They were real craftsmen.

Arrived on time first thing in the morning. Kept everything clean.  Took 2 days to finish the job, plus I had to call them back to tighten a joint due to a leak, and they came out as quickly as they could.

Used this company solely on reputation.  Wish it would have gone a little smoother but would use again.  Price was right and craftsmanship was good.  Communication was average at times.

Jeff and his assistant were timely.  Very professional and highly skilled.  Jeff had a lot of experience and went above and beyond to do the job right.  He noticed and corrected unlevel are in the floor and a scratch in the glass shower door.  He took steps to order a replacement one.  Our updated bathroom looks fantastic.  The best customer service we have received in a long time.  Took 4 months to get the final work date but well worth the wait.  Highly recommended.

The remodel went great. It only took 4 days and the results are fantastic.

All work was done in a timely and profession manner. Jeremy treated our home with respect and care and made sure that any and all concerns were addressed. All in all a very positive experience and would not hesitate to use their services again if needed.

They were prompt, courteous, and professional. When they were almost done they realized they needed one piece of molding for where the new flooring meets the shower. It had to be ordered, and as soon as it came they called and arranged to come and put it down. We are very happy with the results, and with the job Updike workers did.

We wanted to remodel our kids' bathroom.  Nothing structural, just install a second sink, tile the floor, paint and update the mirrors/lighting.  Dan came out, was very professional, asked questions, even provided some suggestiong which were appreciated.  The estimate was provided in a timely manner, and was competitive in terms of price.  The only drawback was they don't paint, which was something we really wanted done concurrently with the other installations, given the nature of the work being done.  Because of the painting issue we decided to not use them, but would definitely consider them again on a project that didn't require painting be done during the project.

We set up appointment with Dan Updike to give a preliminary estimate for the work we wanted done.  He was knowledgeable and professional in his initial response, and we asked for detailed quote and drawings.  He was very responsive and competitve with his bid, and we made the decision to move forward. Two primary installation specialists, Jeff and Chad, were assigned, and did an outstanding job throughout the duration of the project.  They were professional, skilled, and always showed up or called if there were any delays.  They always cleaned up at the completion of every day.  Everything from tiling, granite counter installation in all bathrooms, electrical, plumbing, grouting, pocket door and cabinet installation and anything else required was done with excellent attention to detail. When questions came up from them or us, candid discussions led to any required changes. This was a complex project that was handled skillfully throughout the entire process. We would definitely recommend the Updike organization and would use them again if needed.

The work time start of the job conformed to our schedule due to our illness. The workers were on time scheduled and were all pleasant. Workers came on time to finish “punch” list.

They did a wonderful job.  They were timely and efficient. They were courteous and very pleasant to work with.  They estimated exactly what the job would cost and how long it would take.  I would recommend them.

Contacted Dan Updike to discuss refreshing the look of our bathrooms. We intend to put the home on the market within a year and wanted to update without spending too much on the project. Dan came to our home, reviewed the rooms in question suggested several possible approaches. Since we were not going to do a complete remodel, he even provided us with the names of people who could provide other services (e.g. grout remediation, tub refinishing, etc..). He worked with us to select fixtures that would meet our needs and ordered the materials we required. When the fixtures came in, he contacted us to arrange an installation date. His crew arrived in a timely manner and spent about a day and a half removing the old fixtures and installing the new ones. His people were respectful of our time and property and we felt that we could trust them in our home.
We had a minor issue with some leakage the following day and Dan personally arrived to address it. We are very happy with the job that was done and would not hesitate to use his company in the future.

I thought I had a contractor selected, and he had me go ahead and order the tile and the new toilet.  Updike told me they would not use materials provided by the homeowner so never came out to give me a quote and I did not use them.

I could not be more pleased with end result. From the original contact with the owner Dan Updike and his original sales call, to the selection of sides and base, to the actual installation went flawlessly. The installer was Jeremy. Whst a nice guy. He was very courteous of us and of my property. His attention to detail was amazing. The end results is stunning. He worked with me closely to ensure all such things as grab bars and caddy were placed where I asked for them. Again, I am super happy.

We contracted with Updike to completely gut our bathroom for a complete remodel.  Our original start date was changed twice due to no fault of Updike and they always called to explain the situation and reschedule a new date.  Jeff and Chad started on time each day and were very professional to deal with.  They always cleaned up at the end of each day and put their tools away.  If there were any questions on the remodel, Jeff would always ask our opinion before moving ahead.  The finished job was better that what we expected and Jeff did a couple of extra items to improve the job!!  
It's also nice to deal with the owner, Dan Updike, who put the estimate together and talked to us on several occasions during and after the remodel.  We would definitely recommend them for any type of bathroom remodel or upgrade.

Updike was very professional and worked well with me.  A half bath was torn out and redone, then a full bath was torn out, reconfigured and redone.  They provided good samples and value priced alternatives.  They responded appropriately to my concerns, punch lists and wants.  Their selection in mirrors was not so great and I had to do those on my own, but all in all they did a fine job and completed everything in a timely fashion and did a great job.  I would use them again.
