Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

I apologize. I did not have a furnace service with you. It was another provider, Chris. I believe I queried you about some plumbing work I need done. I'm not sure why I was able to leave you a review and I'm sure you can't keep up with everyone your company services. Please accept my apologies. I will see if AL can remove this review, but if now I just want to be sure people know it was my mistake.

This is our second year in their service plan. The price was good relative to similar providers, and they were rated well on Angie's List, so we felt comfortable using them. Each time they have looked at our furnace, they told us they found "several issues that need addressed soon. Recommend replacing system." We let it pass last year, but this year were considering getting a new unit because they kept indicating it needed major repairs that would cost nearly as much as a new system. We called a second provider out for an estimate to compare before making such a large purchase. He said the system was running great. We then called a third provider, who also said the system was running well and that the cleaning Service Plus did on the unit was not thorough. Needless to say, we feel completely scammed by Service Plus and will not be using them in the future. I am very disappointed.

Everything went very smoothly . He called 20 minutes ahead of his arrival. Thomas wore shoe protectors the entire time he was in the house. Their service maintenance annual contract is an excellent deal that includes 2 annual visits and a plumbing inspection.

The provider was scheduled to show up (i believe around noon) but didnt end up getting there until almost 3. granted they did call me saying they would be late, so i asked them to give me a 45 minute heads up before their arrival so i would have time to leave work and get home. He called me when he was 15 minutes away from my house. my fiance let him in, and he started at work, without talking to me to find out what the problem actually was. he started to plunge the toilet without paying attention to the fact that the toilet was loosened from the flange, or trying to find out why water was leaking in the first place (why put more water into a line that is known to leak) and caused more toilet water to run into our basement. The most annoying part of this was, the toilet did not need plunged at all. there was an open drain upline from the clog for the water softener in the basement utility closet, this open drain was just pouring all of the water out of any drain in the master bathroom. finally after about an hour, he decided to snake the toilet drain, costing $350. he then told me that it would be another 300 dollars to set the toilet (absolutely outrageous!) the parts to set a toilet only cost 15 dollars tops, and it only takes about 15 minutes. I had him leave the toilet in the middle of the bathroom and ended up buying a brand new, higher end toilet and set it myself for $300 (the same price they wanted just to set the toilet)

Tim was the service technician from Service Plus. He put shoe covers on each time he entered my home. While he was working in my garage on my furnace, I took the time to talk with him. He was very patient, taking the time to thoroughly answer my questions and bring to my attention problems I might encounter this coming winter with a 13-year old furnace and he gave me the option of choosing to replace it now or play it by ear. He showed me how to properly put my furnace filter in and the best kind of furnace filter to purchase (not the one I've been using since I had this furnace installed). He explained why and the pros and cons of the type of filter I was using and recommended two options for me to look for the next time I purchase a furnace filter. We talked about the benefits of purchasing the right size furnace for my condo and he discussed the different brands and advantages and cost savings of each. He appreciated my taking an interest in how my furnace worked and pointed out safety features related to my furnace that I should check. I've been lucky each time I would remove the cover to my furnace to date to change the filter, because a safety feature was covered with tape from previous technicians that I didn't know about. He removed the tape and explained that I was lucky, because I could have gotten a sleeve and my arm caught in the fan due to this safety feature being taped over, not allowing it to work properly. I learned a lot just by watching Tim work and asking him questions. He was thorough and worked methodically.

It's been 2 winters and no problems with the furnace. still very happy with the work.

I previously contacted this company to secure a preventative service contract for my furnace & air conditioner. I contacted them to set up an appointment. They advised the serviceman would call 30 minutes prior to arrival which they did. They serviced the furnace which was fine. They did find something not related to the furnace & they advised me of the problem & that it was something that could be taken care of in the future which is what I decided to do.

We really liked the staff. The person that gave us the quote and the plumber were all very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with.

We did not need the deal, but would use in the future if needed.

This was a late night Saturday call and we were impressed by the prompt response and overall diligence in addressing the issue.

They did have different technicians out for each one which was nice. Feels like they have experts, not just handymen. Both were unfortunately a few hours past their window. However, the rest of the experience was fantastic. The heating and cooling technician, David, walked me through how my hybrid system worked and what all he was checking. This was very helpful as we just moved in. The plumbing technician, Dan, did a thorough job checking the plumbing and made a few suggestions which I felt comfortable handling myself. He also flushed our water heater, checked its age, and checked the amount of sediment present in the system.

Service Plus are professionals, they are your one-stop plumbing/heating call. They came out and did a few minor things in addition to changing out the washing machine hoses. They also gave us advice about winterizing. They are prompt, usually can come out the same day or the next and charges are more than reasonable. In fact, sign up for annual maintenance plan and you will save even more! We are very satisfied customers!

David was extremely polite and very thorough. He took the time to vacuum the inside of the furnace and checked everything. He wasn't completely happy with the temperature the furnace was generating, so he made adjustments. He also pointed to an issue that could be a problem in the future, but said it was working OK now. We've relied on Service Plus for the past several years and have always been pleased with the quality of their technicians. Have recommended them to family and friends.

We purchased a $49 Big Deal to have our water heater flushed. The provider arrived on time, flushed and inspected the water heater and was done in 15 minutes.

This was an all day, big job. They stayed right with to get the job done. They did even stop for lunch. Their price was fair as well.

There isn't a better plumber in the city! Service Plus has overwhelmed us with their high level of service and professionalism. I can recommend this company to the highest degree! We recently purchased our home and there were some items that came up on the inspection list that we needed to take care of, plus a few other things we wanted fixed or replaced. Service Plus is rated A on Angie's List and we like the fact that they are available 24/7. They have been out a few times, first to help us install our gas grill. Brian did such a good job and took the time to answer all of our questions and concerns. Since then we have requested Brian to return for these recent repairs and he also came out to our rental property and did some plumbing work there as well. We couldn't be happier with Service Plus, don't call anyone else.

Danny came to our house because our furnace wasn't working. Upon calling the office they was going to make the appointment for Saturday and no one was going to be home and we couldn't schedule a time when someone could be there during the times offered. The lady that answered the phone said hang on one minute and let me see if we can get you a time for today. So upon returning to the phone she asked could someone come later on in the evening and I said "YES" which worked out well. Danny called 30 minutes before his arrival time and notified us that he was on his way. Once he arrived he starting working on the furnace and didn't have the parts with him but stayed until Late an got the furnace to where it would work through the night. He asked if someone would be home the next day and I stated that not until later on in the evening around 9 and he said that was fine and he would be back with parts, thermostat and new filters. He showed up as promised and fixed the problem and also went over why we continue to have problems with the furnace. Danny was very good at this job and I would totally recommend him and his company to anyone. if you call them for service make sure you ask for Danny he is good and takes his time. he will work with you on what time is best for you and that is great customer service. His work was good and he didn't try to pull anything over on us and fixed what need to be fixed and then took the time to tell us why we are having the problems we are. Make sure you ask for Danny because he will take care of everything and even return when he says.

My household central air conditioning just quit working. I chose Service Plus to come out and fix the system due to high Angie's List Reviews. Service Plus made an appointment immediately for me and came right out. That was fantastic! The service technician found the problem with my air conditioner in about 1 minute flat. He stated it was almost always the fuse or the capacitor and in this case the capacitor was bad. He had one on his truck and fixed it in about 4 or 5 minutes. Fantastic! Then came the bill - $400.00. I paid it and he left. I then researched the part number on the internet and found the capacitor he had just replaced for $29.00 online. Now I appreciate them coming right out, and I appreciate the skill of the technician to locate the problem and fix it so quickly. My only gripe is the outlandishly high price. That was 1/10th the cost of my entire household heating and air conditioning system! Yikes!

The technician arrived during the appointed time. The technician explained exactly what he was going to do. The technician did a complete review of the system after the service and noted any areas to keep an eye on or to be concerned about. The technician answered all my questions. I plan to do business with Service Plus in the future.

It was a Big Deal purchase. They did good work. It was expensive. There was no additional charge. They worked quickly. They were professional. We would not use them again because we weren't happy with the price.

We were due to close on the house we were selling and was made aware of two leaky washer valves the day before closing. We had to get them fixed prior to closing so we called Service Plus. The technician was polite and knowledgeable. However, $1300.00 to fix two leaky valves and the washer box is excessive. We didn't have time to get anyone else in so we paid that amount. We will not use them again.

Serviceman was friendly and professional. My water heater was over 13 years old so did decide to replace. Brian stayed late to get it installed and ready to go. Cleaned up after himself. He did not have an overflow pan or the 10 year warranty sticker and book and indicated Company would call me to arrange to install a pan and 10 year sticker. However, I did not hear from Service Plus and eventually had to call them 3 weeks after the installation date and set up an appointment for first call two weeks later to have the pan installed. I was told I would be first call at 8:00am, but servicemen did not arrive until almost 9:00am. They drained the water heater and installed the pan - took about an hour. They were professional and cleaned up after themselves.
