Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

It was fine. The price was good. As far as I can remember nothing was below expectations.

I didn't like the guys communication style. He came and checked a variety of things. As soon as he opened the furnace, he said it had a crack and had to shut it down. We said we had a one-year old baby and could not shut it down so he got a little flustered and said he would not shut it off, but that we had a problem. He did explain everything and the price was okay because I checked other companies.

It went well. We had a good experience the first time around so we hired them again to install a gas valve behind our dryer. The one tech was at my home for 2 hours.

It turned out very well. I’ve used them since they put in a new furnace for me and they came to fix a problem that I’ve been having. They came right away.

I think Lex was the name of the guy who came over to fix my heater. My heater is only 2 years old but was installed prior to me owning this house and it was apparently installed by an ignoramus. Lex came over after hours the same day I called to get it fixed up for me. he showed me exactly what was wrong and fixed it within a little over an hour. I also bought a package deal so they could come check out my AC when the time comes. was a little more expensive than I would have liked but id rather pay money to get it done right then having to keep messing around with it and spend more in the long run.

They did fine. They came out and did their best to clear the drain. Our house is older, so it is harder to do a clean out without damaging the drain, but they did exactly what was listed in the deal we purchased with them.

Diagnosis lead to mitigation plan.

Tech was friendly discussed cost and recommended go to Angie list for a coupon off main line but coupon was no longer available. He had an ad for 80 for drain cleaning. Unfortunately the clog could not be reached from the sewer clean out. It now cost much more to go in the house pull the downstairs toilet. I removed the toilet to save that cost. In the end it cost 350. Would have been nice if the snake he had could have gotten around the y in the drain line from outside that was the disappointment of this.

My HVAC tech showed up on time, and was very courteous. He wore shoe protectors in my house and basement, even though I told him it was unnecessary. He took his time to explain the furnace, and the results he was getting on his testing. He tested common failure parts, including the ignition and capacitor. He made recommendations for keeping my furnace safe and operational, and wrote up quotes for those, and other requests I made (humidifier and cartridge filter). I have a home warranty, so was mostly using them to ensure I can use the warranty if something does fail. But, having the discounts on call in fees and service, may be helpful if there is a failure that my warranty will not cover, or cannot cover for a few days. I have spoken with them on the phone to arrange these services, and the phone staff is always very polite and helpful. They inform me of their needs when they arrive, and worked with me to ensure the visit happens when I am available, and that all of my questions have been answered. I will continue to use this company as my go to for HVAC maintenance, and hope they continue to offer such a great deal on their maintenance contracts. At some point, we will likely stop renewing our home warranty, and will then use ServicePlus exclusively for our needs. Thanks for everything.

It was fine. If I recall, I think we did an additional fees for them to do sort of a deeper clean of the duct work than what was included in the deal. It was my husband who was home when they came. I think everything went smoothly and they were professional. They did the job that we wanted them to do. Everything went fine. For pricing, I never really compared it to anyone else but it seemed fair. I think we would use them again.

It went well. I didn't like one thing. I wasn't aware that if you want them to use their camera to look through the drain line, you need to let them know ahead of time, because the technicians all share the cameras. Not all of the technicians have the cameras with them. They were happy to come back later at no charge, but it used up valuable time.

It was easy to get an appointment. Everything worked out very well. He was on-time and courteous. I bought a Big Deal and there was no extra cost. He went above and beyond what we would have expected. He was very pleasant. We were very happy.

Prompt service and checked out my hot water heater system. He told me that it's probably close to replacement and gave me quotes for replacing the system. I decided to hold off as he stated it still works and in the event it were to fail, he could probably get it changed out in 24 hours from my call. The technician seemed very knowledgable and did not push any additional services on me. Instead he just showed which services he would recommend. I would certainly use them for my water heating needs in the future.

After very little hot water for the family's morning showers, I called Service Plus. I spoke to Sherry, who was very pleasant and helpful. She took some basic information and said they could have a technician at our house in the afternoon from 1pm to 5pm. She called me back an hour or so later to confirm that Ryan would be the plumber coming to our house and that indeed he could be there shortly after 1pm. Ryan called when he was about 30 minutes out, and we met him at the house. It was already clear that we would need a new water heater - not surprising as we got 12+ years out of the original one installed by the home builder. I had requested that they have a new unit on the truck if indeed that ended up being the recommended fix. Ryan diagnosed the issue with the water heater and offered some options, and we did choose to replace it with the new one. Service Plus honored the coupon they offer on their website and through Angie's List. They also signed us up for preventative maintenance for our plumbing and HVAC, which I was interested to do anyway, and that saved us a little more on the new water heater installation. The experience was very good, and Ryan was very professional and helpful. We also got a 6-year warranty. The only negative was the price - a new Bradford-White 50 gallon gas water heater is maybe $600 at the high end, from a plumbing supply distributor. I accept that they need to make money on the resale of the water heater, and of course installation and removal of the old unit also costs money. But $1700 for a $600 water heater is just a little bit steep. We didn't mind paying that price, as we were in a pinch without hot water and needed it fixed quickly. That's the quality of service that we paid for, I suppose - just don't expect to get a really good deal on a new appliance when you need one in a hurry like this.
