Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

They looked at the job and they capped something off but they were not sure what the problem was. The plumber was a nice guy and I had no issues with the scheduling.

I'd used Service Plus on 3 separate occasions (1 Plumbing, 2 HVAC) and was very pleased the first three times, but they were minor service calls. This past experience was very poor workmanship and customer service. I tried contacting the original tech, the tech's manager and the owner who I had met at a networking group and received no reply, nor resolution. The situation was that I had used Service Plus for a diagnostic on my Furnace. I spent $500+ on a part to repair the furnace and $99 for their Service Plus service program which was good for 3 annual visits and meant to maintain our units. After the visit, the furnace was back to normal and working fine. Fast forward, I am selling my house and the buyer's asked for a clean bill of health on the furnace. I called Service Plus since I had paid for the "Service Program" to come take a look and give me what the buyer's were asking for. The young technician who I spoke to said that in order to give the unit a clean bill of health they would have to charge me over $1500 in parts plus labor since they said the unit "could fail any minute." I was furious. The unit had been working for over a month without issue since their previous visit and now they were trying this Bait and Switch garbage. I asked to speak to a Manager and the tech said he would have him call me. No Follow Up. I emailed the owner, since I thought he might want to know the situation. I had met him at a networking group since I too own a business. No reply. I called Mowery Heating and Cooling to come take a look and their veteran technician with two decades of experience looked over the unit, cleaned up some dust, tested it thoroughly and found no issue. $59 later for a Furnace Inspection, Cleaning and Tune-Up, everything was deemed in good working condition. The unit has been working fine now for months. Service Plus went wrong by pushing questionable sales tactics; whereas, Mowery focused on taking care of the customer and resolving the issue. The negative here was that Service Plus was my first call for all things Plumbing, Heating and Cooling for the last two years. Perhaps I just caught them on a bad day, but the lack of follow up and customer service was what sealed the deal. So, it's disappointing that they didn't place value on retaining a repeat customer.

Very well. Prompt, courteous. Did what was needed and didn't try to sell me a new toilet.

They did an excellent job. They were on time and I would recommend them to others.

The young man came in assessed the situation and helped me resolved my issue.

They inspected my toilet in my 1/2 bath which had been running. I was informed that the entire mechanism in the bowl needed to be replaced as well as the braided cables for the water. Total was $575!! I asked them about the price and tried to negotiate and was told "that's just the book price for this" blah blah. You can buy a brand new toilet and have it installed for much less than that - I know, I'm a real estate agent and own multiple properties, so I have replaced many toilets before. Total rip off. I called another company out and they fixed it for MUCH less.

It was pretty good. Scheduling was fine. I had no problems at all.

It was just fine! They replaced a new fan on our heater. They completed the service in an hour or so.

DO Not call these people if you want honest service. Service person came out. I had and still have plugged drain. Person checked situation and I had a coupon for drain cleaning for 79.00. Person, I did not see a plumbing license, checked outside clean out and informed me that he had standing water which indicated drain was clear up to that point. I had informed him the drain inside the house had been cleaned and the problem was from the basement sewer drain to the street. Person cleaned three small bunches of tree roots out of drain not enough to cause a blockage.. When water from inside the house was turned on drain was not clear and was no different than before. It was still not draining correctly. Now he tells me there is no water getting through to the outside drain cleanout. Now he wants $75.00 to bring the machine into the house, and another $425.00 to clean the less than 20 feet from the basement drain to the outside cleanout. Which is where he should had started from in the first place and would have if he had not said that he had water up to that point which he obviously didn't have. So I have spent another $79.00 plus the 119 + from the plumber to clean the inside of the house and still do not have a properly working drain. Ain't life grand.

It went ok. First I had a guy out just for the plumbing and the sewer. He wasn't able to give me an estimate right then so he came back another day with two other guys, 1 sewer, 1 hvac and then him (plumbing). After awhile they finally gave me an estimate and they must've thought I was loaded and stupid because who is going to pay 28k for a sewer repair, new plumbing and a new furnace in a 1400sqft, single story hosue, that was twice the total of the next highest bidder I dealt with. Not sure how they were rated #1 on angies list, maybe I just got some bad employees or something. But I will never use them for anything. I ended up getting it done for half the price.

Lex came out to service my old furnace on the 29th and was able to get it working. The furnace then went out again the following day and Lex came back immediately. Lex determined I would need a new furnace and thoroughly explained everything to me and my son. Lex was very patient with me and it was a wonderful experience. They also were able to set me up with a 12 month same as cash payment plan so I did not have to pay the total bill up front. I will definitely use them again.

Service Plus sent a representative to our home within a few hours. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. After reviewing our equipment and discussing our needs, he provided us with a proposal. Although Josh was very professional and helpful, we were surprised to see that Service Plus's proposal was significantly more expensive than its competitors. We were surprised that Service Plus wouldn't provide us with the specific Rheem equipment model numbers. They really didn't want us to comparison shop with other companies. We investigated our options on the internet and ultimately concluded that the price premium that Service Plus was charging was significantly higher than several other competitors. Ultimately, this experience helped us conclude that we couldn't trust Service Plus.

Maybe I'm slow, but I am still trying to figure out how the $245 adds up. But,in a nut shell, once he (Dan, Dean.. starts with a D) was done, he told my husband to make sure he caulks around the toilet. This is the first time I have ever heard of a person to fix any plumbing in our house and tell us to caulk it. Let me give them credit. The toilet is working better, not perfect, but better. Although it was not an emergency, we got an appt within a few days of the call.

OK. Technician said there were no problems with my toilets. He did not notice any signs of blockage. Did feel he was trying to sell me a new toilet. Since it was a free inspection didn't lose anything.

They did a good job. They came the same day. They did a great job. They came up with a no cost solution. Very prompt.

They were very professional. They did a good job and they were fast. Scheduling an appointment was easy.

I was very pleased, they came out in the morning and had it done by 10am, and did a great job and did a follow up inspection

The technician was not here very long. We were able to talk about a future installment of a tankless water heater and I gained some knowledge about that. They were able to come out the same day I purchased the deal. They did not do an inspection of the plumbing nor talk about the credit.

When I called there was an additional $80 charge to come out to my house. She told me up front about the additional cost.

It went very well. The company did have to reschedule the initial appointment. The weather that day was below zero and they exclaimed that they needed to assist the customers who currently had no heat. I understood and rescheduled for the first appointment available. The technician arrived exactly on time, was very courteous, wore booties in the house, and did the work in quick manner. There were no surprises or sleazy sales tactics. They did offer an annual cleaning package which was very reasonable, but they were not pushy in any way. I will definitely use them in the future.

Very disappointing. We were having trouble maintaining our heat level and scheduled a service call using an Angie's List Big Deal coupon. The technician came out and inspected the furnace, cleaned, completed his report and reviewed the details with me. Indicated a small leak in the blower motor, and a few other small issues of note (considering the furnace is 11 years old), but the furnace overall was in pretty good shape and should now be operating normally. After experiencing the same issue later that day, we called them back for another service call. My wife called me to tell me the supervising technician (a different person than the original inspection) was now telling us we need $2,000.00 in repairs, or a new furnace and our furnace could stop functioning at any time! I hurried home to discuss with the technician, and he was pushing quite emphatically for this. I said I needed to perform my due diligence by having another provider or two take a look at this. I told them we had an HSA Home Warranty also and I needed to check with them and see if this might be covered. They told me it would probably not be covered. So, I scheduled a 2nd opinion with a different provider the very next morning. They inspected the furnace, cleaned and made some adjustments, confirmed the small oil leak in the blower and got the furnace back to operating as normal. The tech indicated the blower would probably eventually have to be replaced but it was running fine for now and could last for quite a while longer. He even took it upon himself to update the Home Warranty inspection contractor who was coming in as he was leaving to fill him in on what he saw. The Home Warranty contractor confirmed exactly what this provider told us, and they will be putting in a new blower for us. So, I was very happy I did indeed do my homework in this situation and did not have to spend a ton of money on repairs, but very disappointed I did not get good information and help from Service Plus.

Winter storm with residents in the surrounding areas without heat. This put a change on service order and we were unable to properly align the work to be done. The office and technician both contacted me and I was pleased with the communication. Unfortunately, the furnace check and cleaning were going to be done during a house inspection and the later time did not work. If we require furnace work again, we would consider Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing.

They were fine. He seemed to do good work.

There was never a confirmation on the appointment date or time. They just showed up at my home and sat in the van for about 10 minutes until I opened the door for my child to go outside and catch the bus. I believe it was February 20th. From there::::: TERRIBLE!!!!!! No service guy showed up... Only a dude trying to get more money out of me. Created an estimate that wasn't even the actually service I needed completed. Horrible experience. NEVER AGAIN. AND he left trash on my front porch. I have the pictures to prove it. Remove this company from your listing so no one else gets screwed out of hard earn money. I feel that I deserve a complete refund!

I am very pleased with the high level of knowledge, quality, and professionalism from Service Plus - especially their plumbers, Derryck and Jeremiah.
