We were very pleased with service man's knowledge, job done and professionalism.

They did a good job with the drain cleaning.

We called Service Plus late on a Tuesday night when we had water and then some sewage start to back up into our basement. The tech came out and tried many things to fix the issue. Every time he had to do something he was up front about cost and said if this doesn't work, then we will try this and finally about 2 hours later we were standing in the mud and snow in the back yard at the clean out and he gave us the bad news that our sewer line had collapsed and probably the whole thing would need replaced. At this point we had spent around $400 but he told us they would apply it to the bill for the sewer repair which they did. The next morning his supervisor came out to take a look and confirm the severity of the issue. He informed me it was necessary to replace the entire 90' of sewer line from the basement to the house at a cost of about $9,700. In case you are freaking out right now-they do provide financing and will help you get it so they can start on the work right away. At my house they started that day on the work. Anyway, the manager said they would be able to do the "pipe burst" method which means they would be able to run the new pipe thru the old one under ground only making a hole in the alley and in the basement. This was good to hear because the pipe runs both under our brick patio and shed and my chicken coop and we were glad at least to know we would not need to dig up the patio or move the shed. So the manager Ronnie provided us with a firm price for the repair- it was not an estimate- it was all we paid. He assured me that even if another issue arose during repairs we would not see an increase in charges. This is very important because I think they would agree that nearly every issue that could arise on this job did. I bet they wish they charged us double. I think they planned to initially be at our home for 2-3 days and have the job completed. It took them 9 days to finish- which to be fair and so you understand was not their fault- there were issues with the sewer main that Citizens had to address- and that caused delays and there were issues with weather that also caused delays. They came out and worked as much as they could every day and over the 9 days in March and there was negative temperatures, ice, significant snow fall, then rain and I think finally the last day it was a nice breezy 60, but everything was a muddy mess. During all of the work the techs were very polite and in good humor. They did their job and kept me informed of what was happening at the end of each work day. One thing they had to do was jackhammer a hole into the basement floor and I was worried about that in my old house (115 years old) but it was not nearly as bad as I anticipated. I was so worried the whole house would shake. I was standing by waiting to grab stuff off shelves but it was totally fine. Like I mentioned there were several additional problems that came up but they handled each one without any additional cost to me. They ended up having to dig a 3rd hold in the middle of my back yard but they did all they could to avoid having to dig up the patio and for that I am very thankful. Once the work was done they left and two weeks later had to come back and clean some mud from the sewer line (water was backing up from the washing machine) but that was an easy fix and because of the warranty did not cost us extra. If I had to say anything I didn't like it would only be the mess made of my yard. They obviously could not help it- they had dig, I just wish it could have been leveled out a little better. I know the mud made it hard if not impossible and I know the paperwork said that we were responsible for final grading and leveling but there are two mounds of dirt in my yard that are pretty unsightly and too large for a person along to manage and I have to now hire someone else to come out and level the ground for me and also re-seed the grass / lay mulch. But I knew I would have to lay mulch or grass I just didn't anticipate the mounds of soil. The other thing would be the muddy mess in the basement which I don't know how it would be avoided either but when they were done there was just so much mud on my basement stairs and stair landing. Thankfully they are old wood stairs and nothing carpeted or fancy. They did do their best to keep my floor between the back door and basement area clean each day when they left but the stairs are a wreck. Anyway, We shouldn't ever need a new sewer pipe again with our 100 year warranty but if I did I would hire them again. I will certainly hire them for any other plumbing work or heating or ac work too. This is my new go-to company for those repairs. They have been nothing but easy to work with and helpful and friendly. Thanks to Ronnie and all the guys at Service Plus!

We did use the big deal from Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing was for 44 dollars for furnace inspection, cleaning and tune up. They did not charge anything above the big deal price. It was good, it was pretty good. I would recommend them to others who are looking for heating and AC services. The price was good.

Ad promised same day service, and they quoted me 12-4pm block. Around 2pm they said all their plumbers were not going to make the afternoon bookings so they rebooked me the next day, which was worrisome because that is when the new cabinets for the sinks were to be installed; when I called back and explained this, they kindly booked me first thing the next morning. Despite telling them they had a new floor and no cabinet and just needed new valves put on, they couldn't quote me by phone and required me to pay the service fee (which does not come off the price of the job) so they could come give an estimate (knowing I needed the work done that day). The plumber said it "wouldn't put me back too much money" but then quoted $102 per valve (he recommended the second one being replaced when I didn't notice it had any issues). I succumbed to get it done, only to notice after he left that he cut off the old ones and thus the lines under the sink are now several inches shorter. They are now too short for the new cabinets that were installed, so I have a domino effect for him doing it this way instead of asking me. Before he left, I had him quote me some other work that needed done - Service Plus was 50% more than the other recent estimate I had obtained. Won't use them again and now have to have another plumber fix the shortened valves that this one left. UPDATE: Instead of paying another plumber, I called them back and complained of the valves being cut off too low for my new sink cabinet. They promptly scheduled the same plumber to come out and fix it to my satisfaction, which he did the next morning. He commented that the approximate 4" height was above the "standard" cabinet floors, but I replied that he never asked or disclosed his intent to make them shorter, or I would have shown him the floor height from another prior custom cabinet that he could have made sure to have been high enough. At the end, he treated this as a warranty claim, stating he didn't plan to charge me for the work, which is good because I had no intent of paying for the same job twice.

It went fine, no problem. It was just scheduling an appointment. It wasn't like there was a problem. I think they replaced one part that was starting to go. They charged me for the part. They had to come back and install the part because they didn't have the part on them. The next time they came up as an Angie's List special I bought another one. When they came up as like a special, I researched them through the Angie's List reviews and decided to go with them.

Easy to schedule and redeem the special that we purchased. Everyone was courteous and professional.

I called Service Plus in the evening because I discovered some flooding around our furnace. I spoke with two members of the office staff, and they were both very friendly and helpful. Jeremiah was the technician who came to our house the following day. I was very impressed! He was punctual (arrived just at the beginning of my time slot and called 30 minutes earlier so I had time to get home from work). He was polite and professional, and I really appreciated how he explained everything without being rushed or condescending. He was genuine and honest. He replaced the pump that day, and I also signed up for the one-year membership plan (grand total about $500 including the $40 service call Angie's List deal). I immediately recommended this company to a family member!

After a thorough inspection, no leak was found. We were charged a diagnostic fee, plus $40 for the house call. I have never had to pay a fee separate from the house call, so a diagnostic fee was unusual. I typically expect the service call fee to include a diagnostic. I also asked him to quote me for installation of two faucets in the kitchen. It would have been upwards of $600 for this. Service was very good and the repair man was very knowledgeable, but the company is too expensive.

It was fairly obvious that they were trying to sell us stuff and getting us to buy some stuff that we did not need. The guy that was out here was trying to up-charge us, trying to just buy a furnace that was bigger than what was necessary for our house. On top of that, he said our furnace was not working due to a particular reason which was not the original reason that Baptist said. I was not necessarily happen with them. Plus, they were calling us and trying to sell us furnaces later, like the next three weeks when we don't need one.

It was good deal. They have a $40 check up. He seems to be a nice and friendly guy. He tried to manufacture some expensive fix. He is a nice and personable technician. He obviously knows what he was doing and he solved the problem. Everything was fine, he changed the filters and the furnace is fine. I did not spend more than the $40 big deal, it covered it. He came out the next day after I purchased the big deal.

Be careful with this company as I felt this deal was a bait and switch. They told me that they only do it if it was an outside clean-out and my job was an inside clean-out. They told me it was in the ad but it wasn't. They wanted me to cancel the original purchase and switch it out for a $49 service call where they would come out first then tell me the price afterwards.

It turned out very well. The guy who came was a very nice guy. He seems very knowledgeable of what he was doing. It didn't take him very long. It was for an hour. He explained what he was doing. He explained step by step with everything that he was checking out and why it was important. I would highly recommend them. I've used them before for other things. The service has been consistently good.

He told me that the parts to fix it would be expensive and due to the age of the furnace he recommended I purchase a new one. He gave me a quote for a furnace installation and let me know it was only good for 30 days. I did not install a new furnace, but they provided me with good service.

They told me that the Big Deal I purchased would not work for what I needed done. I contacted Angie's List for a refund.

I was perfectly satisfied with the work and the plumber was polite, clean and professional. However, the price, I feel was way too high. I provided the new faucet and had already removed the old faucet and waste plumbing pipes. The only materials Service Plus provided was the new pvc waste piping and fittings, so there was nominal cost in materials. The labor took no longer than one hour. I had purchased the "deal" at a cost of $99 for $200 worth of plumbing. In addition to the $99, I still paid $377.12 for a total of $476.12 actual out of pocket and that is supposed to be with the $101 savings from the deal. So, without the "deal" this would have cost 577.12 give or take for 1 hour actual labor and almost no materials expense. Sorry, that is ridiculously high which is too bad because it was otherwise a positive experience.

The cost was just the big deal which was $99. The guy was really great. He explained to me what he was doing and what I could do to take care of my own maintenance. I randomly chose them and it worked. They came out when they said they would and did a fine just. They were very personable. The price was very reasonable.

Our problem is with this provider's advertising. We didn't hire them to do anything. I sent this to Angie's List. They requested I post it as a review. So, here it is. They advertise ?$49 for Drain or Sewer Line Clearing.? Then their fine print says ?$49 for clearing your main sanitary sewer line from accessible clean-out with an electric power rod and cutter blade.? These services aren't the same. One says they'll clear a drain; the other statement leaves out drain. Today my daughter spoke with them. They refused to honor the $49 drain clearing. In her case a bath tub drain. They are advertising a service, that they refuse to provide for $49. They told her they could come and give her an estimate, but it would be more than $49. This is deceptive advertising. The two statements conflict. You can see another members experience (the other guy that rated them F). His experience was quite similar. They wouldn't honor the $49 for ?Drain or Sewer Line Clearing.?

Went great! Will use again!

There was no work performed at this time, and the rep went out of his way to make it affordable for me and my family but we were unaware at the time that we had insurance that would cover the replacement of the unit. We were forced to use a company hired by the insurance agency. I would call this company back on the sheer fact of how they treated us and the fairness of what they offered.

While they were working on our sink problem, they were able to fix our water softener and put a new hose and valve on it to make sure our water wasn't contaminated.

Our experience with them was good. They did the job the next day after we called on a part of the month where it was very cold. So that saved us the trouble from having to find another place to stay for the night. It’s only been a month and the furnace is still working. They were here in the morning and got it done by the noon hour. They cleaned up afterwards. They also left us a manual and gave us a number to call in case there are any issues, and there haven’t been any issues yet. The house has been warm. So far it’s been good.

It went great. David Miller was our guy and he did a fantastic job. He was very friendly and took great care to ensure he knew what the issue was and to look up the best deal for us when it came time to pay for the work. Even though they didn't install the unit, they looked it up the manufacturer and determined it was still under warranty. He then provided several options for deals to get the work done and we ended up going with a service plan for the year that easily paid for itself with what we got off on the cost of labor. This saved us several hundred off what the cost might have been. All in all we were very satisfied with his work and would recommend both him and Service Plus again.

I had an old gate valve replaced with a new ball valve. I purchased a deal through Angie's List that offered $200 of plumbing services for only $99. The valve was very accessible and there was plenty of room for the technician to sweat in the new valve (no type of obstruction or anything that would hinder his ability to perform the work. He informed me that on top of the $200 coupon I purchased through Angie's List the work would be an additional $195. So ultimately, ~$400 to replace a valve Either the company's prices are extraordinarily high for the 25 minutes of work that was performed, or the deal offered through Angie's List isn't really a deal as the price is then inflated to make up for the "deal." Unless the company lowers its prices, I will not use their services again.

I purchased this through Angie's List. I am still waiting to hear from them.
