We used the Angie's List $99 deal for annual maintenance agreement. Good price and great service all around. We have used Service Plus several times for previous home and always have been satisfied with the service and professionalism.

Ken, the HVAC tech, came out to our house in July to do a check up and clean on our AC. He was very courteous and didn't push any sales pitch on me which I appreciated. In July, Ken went beyond the cleaning to try and diagnose a cooling issue which I had already wrote about in an earlier review. Because I felt that Ken knew what he was doing during the check up in July and was professional and courteous, I asked for him again to check my furnace. Ken was punctual and courteous again and did a great job providing his service. I value someone, like Ken, who actually takes his time and completes a job right the first time and doesn't rush through and make mistakes. The plumbing check up was done separately and was also done to my satisfaction. The tech spotted a bad sump pump that seen its' better days. I'm pretty handy with this type of work and therefore, replaced it myself, but I did appreciate the fact that it wasn't overlooked in the inspection!

Dean, the technician, arrived on 09/29. He was very polite, professional, and cordial. He determined, then showed me, where the leak was (a brazed joint on the original assembly was sending out a good "mist" of water). Dean explained the options and suggested going to a local big box to purchase a new tub and shower faucet assembly to save some money. Before leaving, Dean stated he had contacted his boss and confirmed he had availability the next day. I called the office and set up an appointment for Dean to install the assembly the next day. I was told arrival time would be 13:00-17:00 on 09/30. At approximately 16:10 on 09/30 there had been no call stating Dean was en-route (or had been delayed) so I called the office. I was told I was not on the schedule. Not sure what happened. The young lady I spoke with offered a $25 discount for anytime installation on 10/01, but I explained the leaking was worse the morning of 09/30 and I would appreciate having the work done as promised. I received a call from Dean a few minutes later. He apologized for the confusion - although he was not involved in scheduling the appointment - and explained it may be 18:00 or after before he could get there. He arrived around 18:00 and was done between 19:00-19:30. Although it made a later-than-expected night for Dean, was again very polite, professional, and cordial. Dean definitely is an asset to the company. Felt very comfortable having him perform the work. The repair thus far has been perfect. The primary reason for the "B" grade is the scheduling confusion and the price; $400+ seems a bit high for the amount of time (I purchased the tub and shower faucet assembly and that cost is not included in the $400+), but it has been a VERY long time since I have needed the services of a plumber. I would definitely recommend the company and Dean in particular. Just a bit of sticker shock with the repair price.

I called 5 minutes before closing, and we very much appreciated that they were able to send a plumber over that evening! The plumber was friendly and knowledgeable. He didn't have the needed part, but was able to do a temporary fix to hold us over the weekend. He was on time for the following appointment and did a great job with all the repairs. We will continue to request Service Plus for all of our plumbing service needs.

It was okay as far as the work goes. We had a little bit of trouble, we wanted a detailed invoice, and we had a good bit of trouble getting it. Part of the problem was that I was the one at home and when the guy came in and he explained what it was going to cost. I didn't really follow up. My wife came by later and was shocked at the bill and wanted a detailed invoice of how much was labor and how much was parts and they were unable to provide it. She was not happy about that. There is no problem with the work, I know what the price was going in, so there is no dishonesty or anything like that.

Great experience. I would recommend them to others. Renewed annual service agreement as well.

We scheduled Service Plus to do an estimate after we closed on our new house. We had so many service providers coming out to give estimates for various things it was hard to keep track of them. We ended up selecting a different plumber but failed to cancel our appt with Service Plus by mistake. They called 30 minutes before arrival and I realized my mistake. I talked to Jamie who called to let us know he was coming and apologized profusely. She was very gracious and professional. Despite my error, she appropriately said "Well, if you have any other plumbing needs please let us know and we'll be happy to come out and give you an estimate for those." Now, that is service and I will definitely call Service Plus FIRST the next time we need a plumber!

The inspection and tune-up went very well. Shawn showed up on time. He sent me an email before he arrived telling me about himself. He did a complete tune-up and inspection. He did a very detailed write-up of the condition of my furnace and things I need to pay attention to in order to make my system last. He went over everything about my system before he left and answered all my questions. I have had multiple inspections by Service Plus in the past. I find there fees competitive and I recommend them to my friends.

Terrible. Just terrible. I booked this through Angie's list, who contacted the provider to confirm availability for both furnace and water heater tune up with the understanding that I had a limited window; After this was confirmed, I purchased the service package and attempted to contact the provider that same day to confirm my two service appointments. I was unable to speak to anyone from this business for several days and constantly ran into the blockade of "this is just the answering service, sorry." When I was finally able to schedule services, I was contacted within 48 hours to cancel these appointments due to "other emergencies" that had come up. I received 2 calls within ten minutes of each other, requesting that I cancel my previously confirmed/scheduled appointments. This was very strange and seemingly indicative of an operation that is not all together. I cancelled the "Big Deal" that I purchased out of fear of letting these people perform maintenance on my home when they can't manage communication with a customer let alone a calendar. Maybe it was just me, oh well.

I used the coupon and they did not honor that coupon when they came out. So, it did not work out. They said the deal for was for an outside drain. I explained to them when I made the appointment what it was for. It also had a picture of a drain and it was an inside drain on the coupon. So when I purchased it that is what I thought I was going to get done was the drain to my bathtub taken care of. When they got here they said it was for an outside drain so I did not get any service and I was very upset with them. I thought it was misleading but I did not do anything about it by making a bad report because maybe I misunderstood. I think they came out the next day after I bought the deal so they responded quickly. The interaction with them was fine. I only interacted with the service technician. His hands were tied and he could not make and decisions. So they weren't going to honor the coupon so he did not do any work. I did not need him any more.

I purchased a Big Deal for drain cleaning at $49. The service provider was on time and professional. I gave a C grade for the company's professionalism as a whole based on the deal not outlining in detail that the $49 was ONLY for outdoor drains. The receptionist stated that charging the additional amount to clean the drain from inside my basement was at the discretion of the worker who came out. The worker advised it was not up to him and that his manager required he charge the additional amount whenever he cleaned the drain from inside the home. This should be more clear in the details of the deal. Come to find out the problem I had of water backing up into my home had nothing to do with the drain needing cleaned. Nevertheless, I was satisfied over all with the experience.

A young man came to the house and looked at the AC unit and also the furnace, however he found a dirty coil and cracked heat exchanger. He said the blower wheel had displaced bearings and a dirty blower wheel, low refrigerant levels, said the start up amps on the AC were too high and said it all needed replaced. The furnace and the AC unit all needed replacement. This visit came at a really bad time for me as we were dealing with illness in our family so I was already stressed. I called another highly rated Angies list company out to look over the AC and the furnace and the second company did everything the first company did and found nothing wrong with the AC or the furnace! He patiently showed me readings on everything, took apart the furnace and there was nothing wrong with any of it. I would not recommend them to anybody as they tried to rip me off. These guys obviously work off commission and are out to make money off of you.

That was okay. They just wanted me to put in a new furnace. They gave me accurate bad news.

The service tech Dan Craig was absolutely amazing. He was very helpful and explained to my wife and I what he was doing and what we can look out for to prevent this from happening. He was on time and made sure he didn't leave until after we had everything taken care of and all our questions answered.

Service was excellent! We have used Service Plus before and were very pleased with their work in the past and they didn't disappoint this time. After purchasing the deal on Angie's List, I actually called and asked if they could fit us in that same day. It was the beginning of Labor Day Weekend and not having a working kitchen sink would not have been pleasant. They were great and happy to fit us in. They called and gave us a 30 minute window of notice that a serviceman was on his way. He was a familiar face! He had worked on our bathroom earlier in the year. He was very friendly. He looked over everything, gave me his action plan and pricing. Once he got the go ahead, he went to work and had the problem fixed pretty quickly. Our house is very old and our plumbing is very odd. It's half dated/half updated plumbing. Our pipes under the sink were like a roller coaster and difficult to get apart to search out clogs. He did a little handiwork with the pipes and gave us a coupling that is removable so that we might have more success fixing future clogs on our own. He was so friendly with my curious boys and tolerated a crazy barking dog. I have been very impressed with Service Plus because they don't give up and charge us more money when they run into something tricky. Our plumbing is very awkward in this home, and they have always been great about being resourceful with their problem solving and fair with their pricing. *They also send lots of coupons in the mail.

Clean. Efficient. Explained what he needed to do and what parts he would use. Courteous.

These guys make it easy! I'll definitely give strong consideration to using them for my projects in the future. Bought the Big Deal for $49 to clean my drain. Within 24 hours I was contacted, and had the job completed within a few days. I bought the deal on Saturday of Labor Day weekend and they were at my house Wednesday morning. Fantastic.

Bobby was courteous and professional. He did the repair quickly as possible. I was concerned when he did not have the part in his truck that it was going to take much longer. However, he picked the part up and returned to the house faster than I imagined. Soon after the a/c unit roared back to life.

He used his machine to clean the drain but I am not satisfied. I wasted my money and I and to get another company to come clean the drain.

I purchased an Angie's List coupon for a $49 drain clean. Apparently I did not read the "fine print" which said the drain cleaning required a drain cleanout. The lady was nice on the phone and said rather than try to get a refund from Angie's List for the coupon she would apply it to the service call, but it would probably require taking a machine in the house which was $180. To be honest, I just wanted the issue repaired so I continued forward. At the end of the day, the toilet still gurgles, he made a couple suggestions for repairs that were going to be expensive, but we did not get the sense he was really sure they would work. So with the coupon I'm out $230 and the toilet still gurgles. They were all nice people, but I would not use them again. I wonder how many times the Angie's List coupon really applies to the actual service one needs? Seems like there is always fine print or exceptions once they come to your home. I haven't checked but I think I would have needed to pay for a service call, so it was not really $49. Another "fine print" point no doubt. I also wonder about the Angie's List discount. I think it is built into prices because many companies ask if we are members up front.

Dean came to my parents house and gave what I considered a very fair price for replacing the drain lines to the kitchen and bathroom sinks and the tub in the bathroom. All of them were clogged with over 50 years of gunk and grime. He got here, cut out the old pipes, installed the new lines and cleaned up. All of this was done in 3 hours! I'd like to thank Dean for doing a great job.
