Description of Work: The Angie's List Good Deal was $99 for a freeze-free spigot replacement with a 2nd replacement at an extra cost. The 2nd could not be replaced due to heating pipes interference in the crawl space. There was a "difficult access charge into the crawl space" of $129, and a coupling $5 charge. It turned out to be pretty pricey, but I am not complaining since although I did not anticipate the crawl space entry $129 charge at my age, and physically impaired, my days of going into the crawl space are long gone. Their technician, Jeremiah, was helpful in explaining things, and returned on August 8th when I thought there was a leak from the replaced faucet, but it turned out a freeze-free spigot chatters and spills water if it has not been opened sufficiently to create a good flow of water. He was quick to return my call and come to the house.

Description of Work: Unfortunately, I was not able to use this service because after I purchased this offer I got a new job. I am unable to leave my job during business hours to meet with the technician. I still have to have my furnace checked. So, with that $100 service call plus the $50 I spent on this deal, it will end up costing me approximately $150. Very annoying. I explained this to the technician when I called, and he was completely unwilling to work with me.

Description of Work: Purchase the angie's list big deal for an Air duct cleaning. Went fine, techs did a very good job. The price point was especially attractive given prices i've seen elsewhere. I've dealt with Service Plus for several years as they do my HVAC tuneups. I went with them because i've always been very happy with their service.

Description of Work: I didn't use the company and in fact requested (and received) a refund of my big deal purchase because the "big deal" was described as 99.00 for 2 hours of plumbing labor and when the serviceman arrived I was told that it's "really" for a 250.00 discount on the cost of the job (in my case replacing a faucet I was providing). That would have still cost me roughly 300.00 plus the 99.00 I had paid for the "deal" .

Description of Work: I was thrilled with the plumbing services provided by Service Plus! I had purchased the $99 deal for approx. 2 hours of plumbing services. Ron, the technician, was extremely honest and helpful. I had a tub faucet which has never met the wall of the tub correctly; also, the tub stopper was corroded and nasty. One other plumber had replaced the shower handle and caulked the faucet already; but there was still a slight gap between the faucet and tub wall. The next plumber (Mr. Plumber) said to replace the unit, it would require two men to come out and a hole would have to be cut in the bedroom wall behind the tub in order to reach and replace the entire unit. Ron (the third plumber to look at it) simply shortened the rod inside both the faucet and stopper, and replaced the tub stopper so that the corrosion was gone and it looked brand new. I was really thrilled with the simple fix and great new appearance! He also installed a brand new garbage disposal (included in the above price but typical rate ($175) is also less than the $240 I was quoted by Mr. P.) Lastly, he answered a few other plumbing questions I had; and tightened a screw in a new water softener that had been installed (by another company) but leaked a little. Ron definitely went above and beyond; and I highly recommend Service Plus based on the excellent job Ron did.

Description of Work: We have two furnaces in our home. We got the tune up special here on Angie's list and we have special filters so we paid the additional cost for them- which was still $8 cheaper than going to Menard's and buying them. We were given a very complete write up of the findings and observations the service man found. Co2 detector's were also installed. very pleased!

Description of Work: The company never contacted me. Angie's List contacted me and I told Angie's List that I was never contacted and they said they would follow up. I never heard back from Angie's List either.

Description of Work: It was the Big Deal, and believe me, it was. They replaced a toilet which was about 60 years old, and which clogged easily. The new toilet has never clogged. Ilike the design. I have absolutely no complaints. I would have sworn I had written this critique before. Since thr request is still here, I assume I didn't.

Description of Work: Jeremiah and Bill came out to look at a bathroom drain that was having some issues with backing up on occasion. It did not act up when they got here but they ran the snake anyways. Good guys for sure. They didn't try to sell other services because they found no problem. Thanks!
