Description of Work: On 2/12 I purchased THE BIG DEAL ($66 for $265 of Professional Plumbing Services) after confirming with administrative assistant Josh Black that the water softener install could be completed that week (Wednesday). Josh e-mailed me back later to say he'd made a mistake and the appointment was for the FOLLOWING Wednesday. Perhaps I made an assumption that the deal would cover the cost as Josh did NOT tell me otherwise. On the scheduled day the technician arrived promptly and was professional. He started to write-up the paperwork and it showed the job would cost $747 - way more than what I paid for the softener. I told him so and said I couldn't afford that. He had me pay the $49 trip charge and left.

Description of Work: I scheduled the appointment and to be off work to meet them. I found an email that was sent the afternoon before canceling the appointment. The day after the appointment I received an email from the provider asking how satisfied I was with the service. So I have no opinion about the service, just didn't like making arrangements to be off work and then have the service canceled.

Description of Work: Our gas furnace failed on a 20 degree day. Placed the service call at 4 in the afternoon on a friday and had a technician at our house in under 2 hours. The problem was quickly isolated and resolved.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal through Angies List for Duct Cleaning. They arrived on time, performed the duct cleaning (including showing us the dirt build up and dirt removed.) They were very helpful and made suggestions to prevent dust build up in the future. Very professional.

Description of Work: Called company after I reviewed Angie's list. Received all back in less then 20min. Told I was behind two callers and would receive call once on the way. 5 hours later as I was cleaning the mess, missed the companies call by 17 min. Called back to hear that I lost my slot and he was to busy to service the call.

Description of Work: Service provided was air duct cleaning through an Angie's List Big Deal. All of the non-technical service criteria were very positive (arrive on time, clean up afterwords, friendly and well prepared employee.). The technician spent 3.5 hours on the work, arrived prepared and ready to work, and seemed to work efficiently as far as I could tell. However, the methods used to perform the work left something to be desired. Their duct cleaning process involves hooking up a water heater size vacuum at the furnace, then going to each register with a line from an air compressor kept outside with the vacuum and attempting to blow anything in the heat/cool ducts back to the vacuum attached to the furnace. Since I knew there were things in the heat/cool air ducts such as a pager that dropped down an open register, I was surprised that items like that did not show up until I saw the process. The push or the air compressor output and the pull of the vacuum combined were not enough to make it I had expected that there would be something mechanical sent down each heat/cool duct. Instead only the air compressor line's output was blown.down each line & collected by the vacuum at the furnace. The house is an early 60's ranch & the blower of the new furnace installed in 2008 has to push air the full East-West length of a one story North facing home, so there are ducts that run 60-70 feet. Under those circumstance I know the technician did not recover items that had been dropped down the register such as the pager, so II suspect that there is dust accumulation that didn't make it the full length of the house and in to the vacuum despite the pull of the vacuum and the push of the compressor line output..

Description of Work: Angie's List Big Deal for $55. Work was done timely and efficiently in terms of the video inspection of the drain line. However, recommended solution of replacing the drain line from the house to the street was impractical and not the most effective way of addressing the problem.

Description of Work: Technician repaired a faucet and installed a under sink water filter as part of the "Big Deal". He did a great job communicating and completed it quickly.

Description of Work: A very knowledgable service person arrived on time. He answered all our questions and was on time. I would recommend them to other people I know. I will use them again when it is time to have my ac checked.

Description of Work: As they were cleaning out our line they were very helpful in explaining what it was they were finding. Then when they ran the camera thru they answered questions and explained what we were seeing. After they went thru our options for future work that would need to be done and possible costs

Description of Work: Work was good and fast, and went above and beyond his job to place side beams to wall to satisfy drywall contractor that said it wasnt his job.

Description of Work: They arrive on time. Performed the inspection. The service man who was sent was nice but appeared to be new as he had to make several calls prior to each decision that need to be made.

Description of Work: "I have a water heater with a drip from the hot water pressure release valve that somedays puts out about pint of water. I had someone from Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing come out to take a look. He recommended a new water heater. They were fairly expensive and I though over priced. I did not purchase one of their water heaters. I am still waiting for my existing one to fail and so far so good. I let the relief valve loose for a good spell and it shot a bunch of dirty water out that maybe was keeping it from sealing the valve. Well, they didn't charge me for a visit and I could have used the big deal coupon towards a water heater purchase but I think I'll just hit Lowes when this one goes out."

Description of Work: Bought this coupon at reasonable price. But any service the company offer is 300 minum. The coupon equal to200 for any service.

Description of Work: Performed scheduled tune-up and pointed out things that needed attention without pressure.

Description of Work: Had a issue with my toilet flushing, thought it was sewer line clogged. The tech quickly realized that something was stuck in my toilet, he was able to force out a plastic toy that one of my kids had attempted to dispose of. The tech was pleasant, quick and very helpful. would definately use again. They were easy to set up the appointment, were on time and can't say enough. i was very pleasantly surprised.

Description of Work: Mike, a service tech for Service Plus, consulted on an ongoing low pressure problem we're having. Although he was unable to perform a repair to remedy the situation, he spent nearly an hour attempting to isolate the source of the problem. Since he didn't do any actual repairs, he suggested I call the office to report that no solution was reached and that I probably would have no service charge. However, since I am a member of Angie's List and had a $100 coupon for Service Plus, I was able to redeem that with Mike and was subequently left with a balance of only $16.00 which was certainly an acceptable price to pay for Mike's effort, despite the fact that he didn't actually perform any service. Had I not been able to use a coupon, I probably would've taken the suggestion to call the Service Plus office to determine whether I could get a reduction in the amount of the service charge of $116.00 which would've been a significant sum to pay for no actual work performed. I might add that Mike was cordial and helpful throughout and explained his company's annual service plan before leaving.

Description of Work: We installed a top of the line furnace system that is rated high efficiency.Our furnace went out in the middle of winter.They were great responding quickly to our call.They rigged our system till they could get back the next day with the new furnace.They took the entire day to install and they had to put new ductwork around the furnace.They do great work, are on time,clean up wonderfully.With the new system I Also got one year free of maintenance agreement.Our bill are cut in half.Great system.
