Description of Work: Orlando came to provide the service. He was very nice and professional unfortunately his equipment was no where near powerful enough to do a true cleaning. I stopped him and sent him away.

Description of Work: The service provider (Service Plus) contacted me after I purchased the coupon. I arranged for the service provider to come to my house on Friday, April 5, to perform the work. The work was for installation of 3 bathroom fixtures, which I already had purchased from Lowe's, and to repair a slight leak in the master bath. The service provider showed up on time, but the price he quoted was way over priced and so I refused the work. Since I had purchased the fixtures from Lowe's, I found out that they will do the installation of the fixtures and they are doing the installation for 1/3 of the price that Service Plus quoted me.

Description of Work: My bathtub started draining slowing and then stopped draining at all. A wonderful woman at Service Plus scheduled me within 24 hours even though I was a first-time customer with a Big Deal coupon. The plumber and his assistant did an excellent job and replaced pipes in the basement so the problem wouldn't happen again in the future. They were very friendly and professional. Service-Plus is my new plumbing company!

Description of Work: I had purchased a whole home water filter from a big box hardware store. I bought Service Plus $59 deal for $265 worth of labor. Service Plus came out and said that it would cost $2,147 to install the water filter. I called another plumber on Angie's List and got a quote of $250. I elected to use the other plumbing service instead of Service Plus; however, Service Plus asked for $49.95 for coming out to give me a quote. I refused to pay it.

Description of Work: Taking advantage of one of Angie's Big Deals, I bought the $59 Professional Plumbing Services on March 24, 2013. My problem was banging pipes in our crawl space, caused by the dishwasher, that needed professional attention. Several email conversations scheduled a suitable time for their service man to come to the house, crawl under, and determine all that needed to be done. I had tried to delay their visit until the weather warmed so that working in a crawl space would be more pleasant than crawling through a glacier. He secured the water lines with hangers and straps which has prevented them from banging. Surveying our entire system disclosed our pending need for a new hot water heater. We discussed that subject and he gave us two estimates for replacement. At the conclusion, we owed no more money.

Description of Work: We had a small leak at the base of our Master Bath vanity and the stopper in the tub of the second bathroom was not holding water. Both small repairs were done to my complete satisfaction. The repairman was friendly and punctual. I was also able to schedule this service for the day after my call. Very impressive. I would definitely use this service provider again and recommend them to friends and family.

Description of Work: It took then over a week to respond for a confirmation date and then I was told the date I requested was booked. They are scheduled for December 26th. They called to cancel the Dec 26th. ( Had to use a valuable vacation day) I was rescheduled for Jan 24. I was not impressed with how long it actually took for the whole process. Looking back on it I did receive the services that I paid for, which was a very good value. Haven't noticed any change in how our furnace performs. Ductwork is over 60 years old, probably did need a good cleaning. In the future will think twice if the wait and frustrations worth the money saved. Since I had to use vacation time I didn't save anything.

Description of Work: Had the waste water main line snake. Used the A/L coupon for $30 off which was great, but 1st time I scheduled a time they never show or called. 2nd time they arrived on time and was in & out in an hr. nice guy but wore ear buds all the time he talk to me.

Description of Work: I purchased the deal on Angie's list for a camera inspection. There was a mix up in communication and on their first visit they forgot to bring the camera. They apologized and came out a week later with the camera. I just assumed images would be clear but it was difficult to see anything. The price and service was fine, but since the images weren't clear it didn't really help me any.

Description of Work: Company refuses to give an approximate estimate over the phone regarding pulling a toilet and replacing a wax ring on a two year old toilet. They insist on having me pay a $49 service fee for them to come out and look at my toilet and then write an estimate. Josh even stated that looking at my toilet and writing an estimate may actually take 1-2 hours. Are you kidding? I realize that they fear that they will be wrong and it will cost more. And as a customer, I realize that a quote over the phone is not exact. However, I would like to know an approximate cost....do you charge $50? Or $150 or $250. Any company I call will give me a general idea of what they charge to pull a toilet, install a riser and replace a wax ring and put the toilet back on, except this one because they want you to pay a $49 service fee in order to write an estimate that will take about 15 minutes. The plumber will walk into the bathroom and see a toilet and then write the quote. You do not need to diagnose anything because I told you exactly what I would like you to do.

I did tell this to the receptionist when I made the appointment. A service rep came to the house Jan 3, 2013 and did not want to move them. No work was done and I would like a refund of $59.00

Description of Work: I have a service contract for my furnance and air so this was part of a regular service call that is included in that contract. I had also asked for an estimate for a new sump pump in my basement. Service Plus was great about scheduling these two appointments at the same time. The plumber insisted on doing a complete plumbing inspection of my house when I only requested the estimate for the sump pump...so I said ok. During this inspection, he told me my kitchen faucet was leaking. Said he could repair it or I could replace it completely. I had been planning to replace it anyway so said I would do that. Service Plus was going to charge $200 to put new faucet in for me so I said I would figure something else out. In looking at the sink in one of my bathrooms, I indicated that the water pressure was too strong for the small sink. The plumber said that was no problem and made an adjustment under that sink. When I had a handyman install the faucet we discovered that the hoses were leaking, not the faucet. Ended up replacing the hoses and fittings as well as the faucet. (so glad I had planned to replace the faucet since it wasn't causing the leak) Next up, the sink where the plumber adjusted the water flow......he just turned off the hot water to that bathroom. Brilliant..... The heating and air service people from Service Plus have always been great.....but this"plumber" left me wondering if I should hire Service Plus to replace my sump pump......

Description of Work: The representative came and gave me an estimate on the work needed to be done. I had him repair a leak in the bathroom faucet. When he looked at the sump pump, he noticed that one was really old and unplugged it with my permission. He was afraid it would cause a fire because something was not shutting off on it. I trusted his judgment. The next night I had water in my basement and had to have an emergency replacement of the sump pump. My back up did not work. I called him and then their number. They wanted $851 plus $99 overtime for a sump pump. I thought that seemed rather high, so I called my regular plumber; and, with overtime, it cost me $346 for a sump pump. I bought the voucher because it stated that it was for labor only. When he arrived, I found out that they charge for labor/parts together. I try to support Angie's List providers; but in this case, it didn't pay. I think I came out about even on the work they did. I don't know that he checked to see that the backup pump was working. They want almost $2,000 fir a backup sump pump, and my regular plumber, Burney's Plumbing will do it for $1,200.

Description of Work: Through Big Deal ($66 for $265 of Professional Plumbing Services) got a replacement toilet installed. The service technician, Mike Bedrick, performed a very professional and outstanding job.
