Description of Work: Service Tech identified my AC issue as a bad motor fan. Charged me $1,500 to install a new one. Once that was installed, he came back & told me that my compressor was fried, and wasn't sure how long that it would last. "could be a week, could last till the end of summer." Then he presented me with 4 options for a new AC unit. Lowest option (13 sere) was $5,888 to over $10k! I asked him to remove his fan, so that I could shop other quotes, & went ahead and paid the $70 service call. I found a competitor that was over $2,000 cheaper than what they were quoting me for a 13 sere unit. I would never recommend these guys, based on how easy it was to get competitive quotes over $2,000 cheaper than what they were presenting.

Description of Work: They put in a new furnace and AC for us. Our ancient furnace finally gave out during the cold winter. We decided to replace both to get a better deal and better efficiency. They came out the day after we called and they told us how to get one last blast of warm air the night before they came so we were not really cold. When it came time for AC this summer, the AC didn't seem to be blowing cool air so they came back out and found some crossed wires. The problem was fixed right away and they came back out to replace one final part.

The technician called prior to arriving to give me his ETA, donned booties before entering the house, performed the inspection/tune-up and explained his findings, recommendations and details of a service plan offered by Service Plus. he also left information for us to review about the plan and several magnets, etc., with their number for future reference.

Description of Work: I had a leak in a basement water pipe. Originally it was going to take extensive repair. An older, more experienced, plumber came and was able to fix the problem for the $99 Saving me $2000.00.

Description of Work: They came to evaluate our air conditioner and look for a freon leak. It was completely empty so they couldn't locate a leak. They came back a few days later after I compared prices and refilled the freon. It has gotten us through almost another year!

Description of Work: Removed old geothermal heat pump and installed new one. They had to wait 2-3 months for a special part to come in. So, they actually repaired our old unit temporarily, replacing the blower motor. They had been our best of several prices, but their delay was not workable. Their creativity and willingness to work with were what put us over the top. VERY pleased!
