Description of Work: Gave me an estimate of $12,000. |They stated that even though I called |About an air conditioner , I needed both new heater and AC. |Got a second opinion. Cost me $80.00. |Not 12 grand! All that was necessary was a small part to fix the air conditioner my heater was in perfect operating condition. |Service Plus is a very dishonest business.

Description of Work: We bought a Big Deal for a home plumbing inspection because we had a water leak somewhere around the water heater so I wanted to have them check it out and do a full inspection. The plumber wasn't able to determine the problem but suggested I replace the pressure relief valve on the water heater. He also told me that pressure relief valves regularly release water, which I later learned is inaccurate. I replaced the relief valve myself on the chance that it might help, but it didn't solve the problem. After further investigation, I discovered that the condensation drain line that also serves as the drain for the water softener was completely full of sludge and was causing the water to back up. I fixed it myself. | |After the plumber left, I discovered one of my outdoor spigots had apparently cracked during the winter. The spigot was rusted and the bricks around it were wet, but the plumber made no mention of it. | |We have used Service Plus in the past for heating and A/C service as well as a previous plumbing inspection and have always been pleased with their service. Perhaps the plumber was having an off day. Based on past experiences with this provider, I would still recommend them, but I would compare prices from other suppliers before you settle on them as the prices they quoted me for repair work seemed high.

Description of Work: I ended up doing this service mostly myself, but the provider was very responsive, returned my email quickly....I would use them next time when a similar problem arrises.

Description of Work: I had a pipe burst and they were in an amazing short amount of time considering it was after hours... they fixed the problem ... took time out to explain the cause and how to prevent another incident... and the sold me a maintenance plan that i felt good about purchasing even after the plumber had gone and i had more time to think about it... no excessive charges for being after 6 on a Sunday...now that's something to talk about...the maintenance package offered several free services that I need...they are willing to evaluate your situation and leave it up to you how deep you get into the repair and they were courteous, more than prompt and informative... i loved them

Description of Work: Evaluated water leak in water heater. Provided estimates for a new water heater and then scheduled appointment for installation. Both service reps were on time, professional and were had good communicating skills. I would use them again!

Description of Work: The Angie's list buy discounted the "trip" but they still had a standard $120 fee for work. Seemed expensive to me. They did great work however.

Description of Work: I purchased the Big Deal HVAC service call as my furnace would not heat our house above 55 degrees. I called Service Plus as soon as I had purchased the deal and they sent someone out almost immediately. The repair man was very helpful...explained what the issue was and was able to fix it in a short period of time (which did require the purchase of a new part, but much less costly than replacing the whole furnace). We have not had any further issues, and will use Service Plus again in the future.
