Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

They were prompt on the first day. He cleaned the sewer drain from the clean-out to the street pipe. There was very little to clean out. He cleaned up completely. They arrived at the end of the time period on the second day. Two men brought the camera unit in, placed it in the sewer drain, and showed me the condition of the entire pipe. There conclusion was that it was in very good condition for an old 6 inch clay pipe. No service was needed to repair any part of the pipe. Again, the clean-up was complete. All service providers were pleasant and clean. Great job!

We noticed in the morning that water was starting to seep out of the bottom of the toilet on the first floor. After checking out a few things, we determined that any water running upstairs would cause the downstairs toilet to leak. I called Service Plus, described the problem and they were able to get someone out in the morning. The first technician sent determined that the problem was with our main line drain, described what was happening and used a snake camera to locate where the blockage was. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to clear the blockage as he was sent out thinking that we only had a toilet problem and didn't have the proper equipment to clear a main line blockage. He was able to get another Service Plus technician out with the right equipment and the problem was cleared up very quickly. Being please with the service we received, we scheduled an appointment to have them come back out and use the camera on the main line again to see if there are any major problems with our drain.

The biggest issue was that they broke one of my pipes when trying to open a clean-out. Then they tried to tell me that clean-out had not been opened in years, but both my father-in-law and sister-in-law had opened that clean-out several times without issue. So, that pipe had to be replaced. There apparently was also a problem with one of the drain pipes, so some re-plumbing would have been required anyway. But my $66 deal ended up costing me around $750. I will say they solved the problem, but thought they should've been able to open a drain pipe clean-out that non-professionals had managed to open several times previously without breaking the pipe.

Eighty -five percent of the job was completed in December. We were told to wait and let the soil settle on top of the new PVC pipe.This is the third week I have been calling for them to finish the job....carry away the extra soil, put the asphalt in place and close off the outside clean-out. The window for applying asphalt is getting smaller. th don't why I can't get this company to return my phone calls and finish the job. The time for putting down asphalt is moving by. Li

First worth mentioning is that all other contractors who we requested a quote from sent out one person to gather knowledge learn our needs and go back and quote the job the next day. The appt with this company started with both an hvac person and a plumber being sent out and both were late even though they kept calling every 20 minutes. The hvac person arrived first and never sat down with us to introduce himself or listen to our needs or tell us about his company. All he wanted to do was see our existing equipment. He kept going back out to his vehicle to talk to his boss on the phone. He seemed very unsure of himself and did nothing to gain our trust. An hour later the plumber arrived. He was so much more approachable and had more of the salesperson skills required. However there was no one who could answer all the questions - they each had to keep referring to the other which got very confusing. All the other companies who came out to provide a quote sent one person who gave a presentation and inspected our existing equipment and knew all about running gas lines. Finally, it came time to provide a quote. The plumber gave us his quote of over 2700.00 then after going back to his car for the umpteenth time the hvac person came in and gave us a quote for the furnace of over 6000.00. That was over 8700.00 total which was well over 3000.00 more than all other quotes for the same work. Having two separate quotes was confusing. Confusion began again and more going out together to their cars. They came back in and said they had talked to their boss and now the combined price was 5500.00 which was an instant 3300.00 reduction. It was almost comical by this time. The plumber had written his work out on a fairly detailed quote and gave us his business card. The hvac guy wrote down nothing, said he had no business cards with him and could not even tell us the model number of the furnace he was recommending to us. One thing worth noting was the hvac person told us that in order to get a variable speed two stage furnace with the efficiency we wanted we would have to replace our air conditioner too. We had already met with enough other contractors to know that was not true. All we needed to do was replace the coil which is the indoor part of the air conditioner. When we called him on this fact he backed down. This left us very suspicious that he was trying to sell us something we didn't need. In the end we asked the hvac person to send us a detailed quote which included the model number. We have not received a thing so far and have awarded the contract elsewhere. This company needed to send out a seasoned professional to make a well thought-out and fact-based presentation especially on a complex job where you are changing from electric to gas. The only reason I didn't give them an F was because the plumber was professional and prepared.

It was a good experience. They were on time, informative, very polite, and professional.

My husband had installed a shower stall and there was a leak that he could not figure out where it was coming from. Service Plus sent out a plumber, turns out the leak was at the pipe connection just inside the wall. He fixed it and it hasn't been an issue since! We also had them check out 2 toilets that kept backing up on us. The snake down the pipes did the trick for both of them, however one toilet required them doing it 4 times, because at first it wasn't working. We haven't had any trouble since. The technician was clean, prompt, efficient, and very nice.

There is no reason to call anyone else. These guys are the best. I will continue using them in the future and am thankful for such a trustworthy hvac establishment out there.

From beginning to end, it was a very easy and stress free service. A tech initially came out and diagnosed our system and gave a minor tune-up. At that point, I decided it was worth exploring the option of replacement so the owner of the company came out to thoroughly explain the options and cost/benefits/concerns with me and my wife. Once we decided to move forward, we tried to schedule and was able to be fit in within a few days. They replaced the system with no issues and Logan came back for the additional installation and follow up while graciously working with our weird work schedule. From start to finish, this was a great experience.

I was told that I had a leak under the house as no other leaks in the house were detected. To find the leak would cost several hundred dollars. Then to repair by going under house would cost from $1,000 to $5,000. There were also other more minor items noted that totaled about $1,700. I suspected something wrong with one toilet and asked a neighbor to look at it. He said it needed a new flapper and that it was leaking a lot of water. I got a new flapper and installed after watching a U Tube film. My water bill went from $90 to $49 this month. I think either this company has a very incompetent licensed plumber or the company is deceptive in their efforts to get more business even when work not needed. I was disappointed that this was my first experience with Angie's List. Joining Angie's :List was to avoid just this kind of vendor. I still do not have a trust worthy plumber but am asking friends. I think people need to know not to engage this company called Service Plus.

It went well. They fixed ALL the leaking problems from the upstairs bathroom and made sure tub would hold water instead of water leaking out after a bath was run.

Fred came to my house to check out the A/C. He did this and then looked into some issues I was having with my heat pump. Ultimately he decided that it needed a few new parts.

After a frustrating experience with another repair company (A&E), I called Service Plus. Talk about night and day. Not only were they able to repair my water heater the next morning, the service repair man was realllly nice. On top of all that, they honored the $25 off coupon listed on Angie's list. They saved my family from taking cold showers for a number of days. I will definitely call them back if I run into other issues and I'd highly recommend them.

Unable to flush the water heater due to water heater being to old for this type of service. The technician explained reasons why it could not be performed. Unfortnate that the person I spoke to to schedule appointment did not specify this key fact. While here I discussed some other services I am interstedin such as replacing kitchen sink and faucets, disposal. Plan to schedule this appointment soon The technician was very polite and knowledgable with all my questions and gave me valuable information i need when shopping for a sink, faucet etc. A

It was easy to schedule the appointment and they arrived on time. The work turned out fine.

The technician, Dave< was thorough and knowledgeable of the system and pointed out na number of things to watch and be aware of. He (Dave) conducted a carbon monoxide test and found the level exceeded acceptable levels. Luckily I have a homeowners warranty and immediately contacted them to resolve the issue. I also signed on as a Service Plus club-member for one-year. Ichose this service provider based on the ratings from Angie's List and was very happy I did.

The plumber gave me the spectrum of choices and costs. While they are not cheap, they did excellent work and did everything quickly - including going out and finding the equipment, returning, and installing it. We were very happy with the results and will use them again.

We had a sudden plumbing leak. We moved here in January and Husband was out of town at the time of leak. They walked me thru shutting off the water (new house and I didn't know where it was) and they were out immediately to find and fix the leak. Then they helped me get people to dry it out and what to do next. I could not have asked for a nicer company or plumber!! The plumber that came out was Fantastic. Can't say enough good things about this company!!

Everything went well the second time. I was engaged more then I was the first time. The person was very nice and prompt.

It was fine. After they cleaned the drain, the next day, my toilet failed and they came out and it was actually a clog in the trap of the toilet which was not their doing. When they were here, they did a good service and they were prompt when I thought there was an issue with the work they did the day before.

This is the first "not great" review I have ever written for an Angie's List provider and I regret having to do it. I had a sewer back up emergency late on a Sunday night so I called Service Plus as they had unclogged a utility drain before. They promptly came out on a Sunday night but were not able to diagnose the problem. Jeremiah said they would be back first thing the next day to better identify the problem and fix it. I was assured (more than once) I would be the first call of the day. That did not happen. I called around 9:30 am on Monday and was told that the dispatcher had not put me down as first call, but they would be there that day. At 4 pm I called again and was told that they were backed up and wanted to know if they could come the next day. I could not reschedule another day of work and had to say no. Plus, I could not run water with the drain blocked. Someone arrived about 6:30 that evening (and yes, I could have worked that day if I had only known) and was able to open the line. As that person did not have the camera, I scheduled another appointment the next afternoon to have the exact problem identified. That person did not show as scheduled and again I waited and had to reschedule. Ultimately, they diagnosed the problem as roots in a sewer line right outside the front of the house. Sine the line was currently open and functioning, I scheduled the replacement for Friday expressly so that I could be present and also be able to dig out the landscaping in the front of the house to attempt to replant it after the pipe was replaced. Then I was called on Thursday to be told that they were finished at my house and the new pipe was installed -- a day early. When I got home, I found that my shrubs had been removed and thrown out. I will say that everyone that I personally talked with or encountered was professional and I believe the work was done satisfactorily as I have had no more problems. The blame was placed on a dispatcher that I was told was fired. However, I talked with several different persons throughout that week, and I had three missed or mixed up appointments in the span of a week. One mixed up appointment maybe, but once you have a customer who had been inconvenienced, a company should make an extra effort to see that further mix ups do not occur. I will not be using this company again.

If I could give these guys an A+, I would. We moved into our new house on 9/27 and scheduled them to come that day to do the water heater tune-up, plumbing inspection and HVAC tune-up. We had bought their service plan the week prior which covered the cost of all those services. The techs are professional, friendly, and fast. With all the flurry of the previous owners moving out and us moving in at the same time (it was a nightmare move, really), the Service Plus guys worked around all the excitement to get the job done quickly and to our satisfaction. We scheduled the dryer vent cleaning for the next week. I feel 100% secure having their techs in my house, which is very important! Also, I'm glad we had everything done because there were several things that needed tending to, and now they won't be causing any problems during our first few months in the new place. Thanks guys. for making my life easier!

Provider has been great to work with. We used them twice, once for plumbing because of an Angie's list Big Deal. They came back and replaced pipes and installed a water heater. They also came back and installed a gas fireplace and removed old unused gas lines and capped them off. Our service tech, Dean, has been very punctual, always called us ahead of time as we do not live at the house where the work was being done. It is really helpful when a company sends the same person for each service. They get to know the systems and there is continuity is their work. Service Plus was a great find, and we really have appreciated the company's follow-up as well.

I don’t like to be critical but I would say the way it went down. I had a 3:30 appointment and when the attendant hasn’t shown up by 4 o’clock I called. And they said that he had been stuck at another job. I would just like that he had given me a call letting me know that he is going to be late. He did call me later and said that he’d be here in 20 minutes and he was. He performed the service and just because of him being late and not calling, I would give him a B rating.
