Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

It was a big deal purchase and my experience with them was wonderful. They did a great job. I did not spend anything more than what the big deal price was.

The above ratings apply primarily to Dean Pruitt, rather than the firm as he is the only one I have dealt with at this company. Despite having no real tuning to do (which meant I had again bought a deal that I really could not use), Dean did grease the seals in the toilet tank to keep them flexible. He discovered a leak under the master bath sink missed by the Mr. Rooter inspection (that inspection missed a lot) and noted some issues with old pipes. We took a good look at the well tank in the crawl space and he found that the guage was completely off (reading between 18 and 22 instead of the specified 40 to 60! and the Mr. Rooter techs told me the guage was good!) and that could be the issue with the frequently running pump. Dean gave me an estimate, broken down into pieces, for the work he thought needed to be done. He gave me good advice on the care of several pieces of my plumbing system. He was the first technician coming in response to a Big Deal who asked for the coupon for the Angie's List Deal! But he accepted th e-mail confirmation forwarded to his account at Service Plus.

The representative that was sent out was professional and polite. He explained what he was doing, and completed the job to our satisfaction.

We didn’t have any trouble scheduling the appointment and they fixed the dishwasher. It works fine now. They were not able to diagnose the issue with ice maker as it’s an intermittent issue.

The plumber was on time, polite, professional, efficient.

Everything turned out fine. It was a very good price.

On Friday afternoon, I found that my water heater had failed and was leaking water out of the back of the unit. I called the office and they were here within 2 hours on site and even gave us time to replace the damaged dry wall behind the water heater by bringing in the new tank the next day. We had two different technicians and they were both very professional and very knowledgeable about what they were doing. The reason, and the only reason for the B score, is that the next morning, I got an Angie's List Offer via my email for a different local provider for the exact same water heater (literally the exact one) for 180 less that what I paid. Now that offer could not have been done the day that I needed to have it done and it was an emergency situation, so I guess that paying the extra was needed. However, it left me with a sense of being overcharged and not having as great of a feeling about the service. Having said all of that, I would use them again, however on a non-emergency call, I would definitely shop around for pricing first.

Ron was punctual, phoned ahead to let me know when he would arrive. He answered all my questions and provided very helpful information.

Great. The service provider came and fixed my first problem, then for the second problem in the shower, he told me what it would cost for him to fix it but then told me how much it would cost for me to fix it myself and in less time. Most importantly, he showed me how to fix the shower once I got the part myself for no further charge.

We've been bothered a long time by the problem of water pipes banging under the house when the dishwasher cycle changes. Brandon spent a lot of time trying to find something that could be changed that would help, but the pipes are not leaking, they are strapped so they won't sag and cause more problems, and nothing more can be done at this time. Since there is nothing we can have done to the pipes, we'll just have to learn to live with ithe noise until we get around to replacing the dishwasher. Brandon was very courteous when he had to tell us that there was nothing more he could do. He made some suggestions, and those we will follow in the future. The next time we need any plumbing done, we'll call him. I may even ask him to recommend a dishwasher when the time comes to make that selection.

Making the appointment was very easy and hassle free. They came out before doing the work to inspect the location, determine my needs and give me various quote options. It took longer than I had expected to do the work, but it was mainly problems getting the old one drained so they could safely remove it and a missing part off the water heater they brought which required them to drive back out for another 30-45 minutes to get. I'm glad they took the time though to do it right though. They also seemed to be very good with backing each other up, as when it appeared there may be problems getting the old one out they had another member of the company on the spot quickly to help provide assistance. All the people that came out were very polite, neatly dressed and easy to work with.

The serviceman was punctual and professional. At one point he telephoned someone to get information for me. The provider diagnosed my problem--need new pipe. I was surprised though that I purchased the $59 special coupon, but ended up paying more for the second cable pass. I was satisfied with the work, but surprised by the additional fee. I would add that since I commented on the unexpected additional charge, this company offered me a $100.00 discount on any future word. I appreciate that.

They were quick to return my call, made a fast and convenient appointment, and Brandon Boswell, the tech, did an excellent job. He cleaned up after he was finished and even removed the trash. I was very pleased!

Bought two service agreements Heating & AC 2/25/13 one for house where we live and one for house we rent out. On 10/21/13 we contacted them and ask why we had not heard from them since we made purchase. Was advised we had fallen through the cracks and they would extend our contract one year free to make amends. At this point no spring maintenance had been preformed at our residence or our rental property. We scheduled a fall check up for our residence on 10/22/13 between 1:00 P.M and 5:00 P.M. rental property was scheduled for 10/23/13 between 1:00 P.M. and 5 :00 P.M. By 4:15 P.M 10/22/13 no contact was made for maintenance appointment so we called and changed date don't know if they would have ever shown up or not. No one called or made contact with our renter at all on 10/23/13. Appointment with their plummer 10/22/13 resulted in plummer taking apart shower head supposedly locating the problem that caused the showed to leak reassembled shower head and left rental house claiming they needed approval from owner to make repairs, yet no attempt was made to contact us and get approval. Contacted owner of company, Chris 10/24/13 and after talking about all the mistakes made, the owner stated he did not think they were going to be able to please us and he was going to refund all our money which they in fact did . The point is this company or at least the owner did not want to correct their problems but rather hinted the problem was the customer

I called and spoke with the General Manager at Service Plus and he seemed baffled by what happened and thought maybe the tech had a faulty carbon monoxide detector that needed recalibrating and said he'd come out himself and run a test on our furnace. But by this point, we'd already decided to go with the original company who installed the furnace to do the check up (again) and were disappointed (and frankly upset) with Service Plus. I'm glad we didn't lose $7000 for nothing.

The service turned out just fine. They were very professional and they did a complete inspection. They gave estimates on everything for the future that may need to be done and for budgeting purposes. I was very happy with the gentleman that came to my home.

It was an Angie's' List Big Deal that I purchased. It was an absolute disaster. It was very hard to schedule. It took about 6 phone calls, 3 from me and 3 from them, to get an appointment scheduled. It was just maddening. I had my voucher that was worth a certain amount of plumbing services. A couple of the things were long term problems and I'd had estimates before. Their estimated price to do the same work was not quite double but it was 65-80% higher than what I perceived to be the going market rate. They also tried to upsell me on stuff that was absolutely ridiculous. Above and beyond their inflated prices, they were also saying things like the toilet was really old and we should consider replacing it. I felt that I was basically just trading dollars for the money that I spent on the voucher and I wasn't getting any value. The unclogging of the kitchen sink used up my entire voucher. I had it done before for $80 and $100. They arrived mid-morning and left at 5 pm. Fortunately they didn't charge by the hour; they charged by the task. Even though I told them that the kitchen drain was the top priority, the first guy that came out didn't have the right equipment. He messed around with it for a while with inadequate equipment. The second person was sent and he wasn't able to complete the task. When he left my kitchen drain was non-functional. He didn't leave a clean work area underneath my sink where he had been working. I had never seen a plumber do that before. They were very polite and courteous but my kitchen sink was never fixed.

I purchased a $59.00 Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it worked out well. The man was very helpful, but I misunderstood what was being offered by that particular ad. It ended up costing me a little more because I thought it was a drain cleaning, but that really was not what it was. However, I was pleased with the service and had no complaints.

Arrived at scheduled time and performed job in a timely manner. Very professional. Would definitely use them again.
