Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

An initial snafu with scheduling but did a good job on the return visit.

Gave estimate that was a little high compared to other quote I received. Told him fair price I was willing to pay and he agreed to do the work for that price! He did work same day and within three hours install was completed.

Using the Service Town app for scheduling was a breeze, but I think the company is still getting used to the new system, as they were 4 hours late. The biggest issue is how often I was told I'd e getting a call shortly for an update or reschedule and that didn't happen until 3.5 hours later. The tech also just shruggedd it off when we brought it up, which was not appreciated considering I scheduled for 8 am hoping to not miss an entire day of work.

Service person came on time. Noted that water heater was leaking and that a new water heater was needed. The service person obtained a new water heater and installed it. Service person was very professional and described what he was doing as he worked. The new water heater works great. Then the installer took the time to describe the warrantee in detail before he left..

Great company! They were very prompt in calling me about scheduling and then they came out the very next day. Wonderful service, e was very nice and got the job done quickly. I would definitely use them again!

They did well. I think that their service tips were very helpful.

They did a good job. They came when they said they would come, they did the job. I had to have extra work done, and paid extra for it. The fellow who came out was helpful. I think the cost of the part was more expensive than it should have been or could have been. I think they were expensive. I would probably not use them again, because of the price situation. Although they did a good job, I think I got overcharged for the part.

They were very nice and it went well. They were very polite and they always put protection on their feet.

Completed in one day. I don't understand all this HVAC stuff, so I'll try to explain. There is something up in the attic that belongs to the central air unit that they had to go upstairs and do something to. And they installed the outdoor unit. I'm pleased with how they handled the job, wore shoe covers whenever in the house. The gentleman was professional and pleasant to talk with. He kept me updated on what he was doing, and made sure the unit was in working condition before he left. Since it was summer, they forgot to program something into the wall unit for the thermostat and when it got cold out and I couldn't get it to work, someone came right out and updated the thermostat and waited to be sure it was working before he left. So, my thermostat is great, the AC unit is great and the unit in the attic is working. I've recommended this company to my family and friends. Since having the unit installed I've seen deals on Angie's List with cheaper units, but, being so happy with the service I got, I'm ok with that. I got what I wanted.

They sent someone out the same day, had it fixed within the hour, even shoveled the driveway for us because he got stuck and was very pleasant.

They found nothing but roots and cleared the drain with a snake (I am not sure what size was used). In the past I have had this done and the worker has cleaned up after himself. When I asked this guy he said he didn't do that. Despite that he was professional but ultimately did not do a thorough job. He told me there was no warranty on the service which struck me as odd but I didn't have a choice at that point. I have had other companies come out within 4-6 months and re-clear it or at least give a guarantee that it should not clog back up if only toilet paper was being flushed with the waste, which he did confirm he only found roots. Now it is not even 3 months later and my drain is clogged again so I called the same company to request they clear the drain again and this time put a video camera down to see the condition of my pipe. The gentleman who was very knowledgeable and professional did not bring a snake to clear the pipe but said he would put the video camera down. I asked if I could get a recording of it and he said that he did not have that ability, which again seemed a little since a couple other companies had offered a recording along with the service. In any case I needed to have something done immediately since I was unable to shower or use the toilet. He tried to put a camera down but said hit something hard at 32 feet and could not get the camera to go through. He said it did not feel like roots but rather as through the pipe had collapsed. He then gave me a quote of $7107 to have a Pipe Burst done since my my pipe was in poor condition. He was knowledgeable about utility shield and suggested I call them to assess it - he even spoke with them on the phone when I called while he was still there. He also documented his opinion of the clog. He did not charge anything for his visit since he was unable to clear the drain or take video. Today my Utility Shield company sent out a plumber to reassess. The first thing he did was clear out the drain. He only found roots and felt no obstruction preventing him from snaking out beyond 100 feet with a 3" snake. He then recorded a video of the pipe and pointed out there was not even a crack in the tile pipe. It was in near perfect condition. He showed me the entire footage of the drain. The roots were coming in, in 2 different places between the seams of the tile. That's it. He said I could have a copy of the video if I requested it from the office after they transferred it to their system - they are holding it for me to pick up. Bottom line is... I never should have needed the pipe clear AGAIN after less than 3 months. I have lived in this house since 2005 and have never had that happen, which was partly what convinced me it must have collapsed. Had I agreed to their recommendation, I would have paid over $7000 for a service I did not need. Instead now, I had to pay ANOTHER service provider for what should have been done 3 months ago - thoroughly clearing the drain pipe. The company that came out today also cleaned up after themselves without even being being asked. I currently have a call in to a manager at Service Plus because I would like to have my $364 refunded for the poor service that was completed in January causing me to have to pay again for the same work. I just called today and am awaiting a call back. I understand sometimes employees may not give the best service and I suspect the blame lies on the original plumber who came out to do the work in January, but as it stands right now, I would absolutely NOT recommend this company for any work whatsoever. I am assuming that my issue is not important enough to the owner of this company to address. I have not received a call back even though I have called and left messages 3 times in the last week. Says a lot when a company cannot stand behind its work. I would never knowingly work with a company who refuses to address issues with its customers. Gordon plumbing came out and did a fantastic job - all of what I expected from Service Plus but did not receive.

$66 for $265 of Professional Plumbing Services!

Both service calls were prompt and professional. Even though the camera inspection took a bit longer to complete than anticipated, the technician was patient and took his time to sort out the issues, putting together a detailed estimate for fixing the problems that were found and talking through the pros and cons of lots of different drain line repair techniques.

He gave some things that we may want to look out for (ie. garbage disposal is on it's last leg) and tips for caring for the plumbing for a shower and tub that we never use.

My experience went very well. The staff was professional and knowledgeable in their field. The pricing was reasonable and I would recommend this company to others.

They helped me at a reasonable price.

It went really well. I was very pleased with their work and professionalism. They were able to come on the weekend despite the fact that they typically only do commercial work on the weekend. They replaced my condensation pipe and put In a new condensation pump. Simon and Jason (I think) very helpful and courteous. They even talk my call on Sunday to answer some follow up questions.

Service was friendly and timely. There was a small connection problem with the first install but they responded immediately and fixed the issue. Special thanks to Kurtis and Logan who provided great service.

They were unable to figure out the problem without replacing the entire toilet

It was a Saturday and we came to the conclusion the water heater was on the blink. We called and they were able to come out that day. The repairs were done that day! The serviceman who came had everything he needed to perform the repair. He was very professional and thorough and it has been working beautifully since. They were great! Did not even charge a premium for the Saturday call which was a huge convenience for us! Thanks!!

This is the second time we have called Service Plus, and we were very happy both times. We will definitely be using them for all of our plumbing work in the future.

My experience with them was not good. We had clog so he came. It was a very easy thing but he told me that I can climb myself and started teaching me how to fix it in the future in how it would work.

The company called me immediately to schedule. The technician was a little late for the appointment, but I was home. He was friendly and professional. He gave me some feedback on my furnace and quotes on replacements. I would definitely use them again based on his professionalism alone.

They came out when they said they would, did the work to clear the line, and provided a recommendations list of what I should do. They were very professional and I would definitely use them again.
