Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

The last visit from Service Plus, on 5/01/2014, went very well. Technician was punctual, pleasant and professional. This appointment, there was no high pressure sales and all my questions were answered. He also gave me information regarding replacement, for my particular home, of both the furnace and air conditioner - when needed. At this time, and after this visit, I would use Service Plus for my next maintenance call.

They showed up on time and were clean and professional, I will use them in the future

The serviceman was on time. He performed the service in spite of obstacles with the drain system in our old house.

The tech was right on time and was very helpful. He walked me through every issue and explained things very clearly. I couldn't have been happier with the service. Will definitely use Service Plus again.

Both of my toilets were running....my water bill was through the roof.....Service Plus came to my house and gave me 2 options and clearly suggested to me that both would fix my issue. One was replacing both toilets (expensive) and the other was replacing the fixture in each tank. I went with fixing the fixture in each tank and have had no problems since. I liked the fact that they gave me both options....rather than just telling me I had to replace both of my toilets. They were honest and very easy to work with.

The service tech called about 20 min before to let us know he was on his way. We told him what the inspector had said regarding the gas leak. The tech came in tested for the leak and corrected the problem within 30 minutes! Great Service!

I think they are a good plumbing company. I’m happy with the guy they sent out and he was professional and polite. He did what I asked. The quality of plumber that they sent out was the quality plumber they sent out for me. The only negative that I have for them is that I don’t agree with the pricing structure. The way their pricing structure is they charge per the job. I think the actual numbers are high. I think they charge for worst case scenario so if you have a house and the actual fix is small that they have to charge for if everything goes wrong that they still come out financially okay instead of just charging for the effort required. I personally prefer time and material and I feel that their prices are way too high. I already used them twice. Because I like the people they sent out, I gave them a second shot but I really didn’t like the pricing from my first experience. It just was really ridiculous. I just felt a little taken advantage of. For instance, my earlier experience with them on another Big Deal, I had the top of a sink removed and all he had to do is plumb in the connectors underneath but normally they would have to get underneath and unhook everything and then put in new connectors and all this works. So they charged $400 to do that but I had everything torn apart and all they had to do is bend down and put it on there and it only took them a second to do it but they still charged me $400 despite that I did all that preparation and all that work and called them at the right time during construction so it was a nice simple job, they didn’t care. They just followed the piece of paper for $400 to do the job. I had them do some other work in my crawlspace and my crawlspace is big and tall and clean and it’s really easy access and it takes just a second to get to a stick that they did for me and they charged me a $120 just to step in there for 10 minutes while they did something and got back out. I felt taken advantage there too. I like the company in every way but their pricing structure. The Big Deal allowed me to get around their pricing a little bit and made it feel more affordable and so I called them again but I know they do quality work.

There's good and bad. The bad is probably my fault. They couldn't do the video inspection because the pipes were old and twisted. They had to come back out and put in new pipes. They did that and it was great. What I originally needed done was the video inspection. I was supposed to call back and reschedule. I assume when they came to re-do the pipes that they could do the video inspection at the same time. That was what I originally paid for. They said someone else actually does the inspection and they would let them know that the pipes were fixed. They said that I should call and remind them. I just never did and they never got back with me either. They came out pretty quick after I purchased the big deal. It was certainly in a reasonable timeframe. They were very nice and got the job done. There weren't any negatives except for not coming back to do the inspection but I forgot to call and remind them. It was a little bad on both of our parts.

The technician was very polite and thorough. He described in detail what he completed and recommendations, and he gave us a copy which was nice to have for our records. We would use Service Plus in the future.

The serviceman informed me of the potential costs up front & asked for my approval before completing the work, and was very friendly, courteous, punctual, & professional. He removed the "obstruction" and completed the job very unobtrusively, as we had company that had just arrived that were staying with us for the weekend.

Tech arrived on time. Was pleasant and professional. Came out with a quote for the repairs within about ten to fifteen minutes. Executed the repairs in under an hour. Very happy with this company's service.

Great! Very professional. Gave us some optional repairs and told us how to make our furnace last longer.

He had to go back for part. Let us know that the supplier had moved so would take him longer. He returned same day and completed the repair. Very nice and courteous technician. We purchased a service maintenance contract and will use them again.

It was very simple and easy. I called on Wednesday and they had someone out on Friday and said they could replace the whole unit that Monday. He was very professional and nice. He even offered me coupons to make the replacement a little more affordable.

They are awesome, everything went very well. I will only use this company. They may be small but this is sometimes a good thing.

I called Service Plus to open a slow tub drain. Their plumber came and ran a snake through the drain and said it was fixed. The next day my wife took a shower and had 3" of water standing in the tub.Service Plus sent their man out again. He tried to rerun the snake but was unsuccessful. He said the trap needed to be replaced, even though it was not leaking. I called the Service Plus service manager and asked him to come back and open the drain or give me a refund. He insisted the trap needed replacement at a cost of $540. He said if that didn't work there would be no charge for the trap. If it did work I would pay $540. He refused to try and clean it again with the snake. We have lived in this house 35 years and drain has been cleaned successfully in the past. The trap was not leaking so I did not see why it should be replaced when it could be cleaned. When Service Plus refused to stand by their work we hired another plumber to open the drain. He opened it with no problem. A second problem with Service Plus was the price of the drain cleaning. When I called Chris, the owner, he said it would be about $100. When their arrived said it would be $100 plus a $79 truck charge. Chris had neglected to tell me about the truck ch

It was great. I thought it was really good. They got the job done in about 30-60 minutes. He answered all of our questions and he was really good. The scheduling was easy and they called us to setup the appointment.

Perfect! They responded to my online inquiry within 10 minutes and their service guy was out here 2 hours later. He was nice, knowledgeable, friendly, personable and professional. He discovered what the problem was within 10 minutes of being here and gave me honest options for how to correct it. He could have charged me for various needless services but he didn't. He also gave me options for making the most of the services they provide since 8 had mentioned the need for yearly servicing of my A/C and furnace. He also took the time to take a look at my shower head and faucet as well as the plumbing to explain ways that I could improve the strange hot water issue I am having with the shower. In my opinion, he went above and beyond what I expected and it was well worth it. The visit would have cost $79 but I chose to take their service plan that costs $99 and includes his visit, the inspection of my A/C and furnace as well as any plumbing issues and discounts on any parts or equipment I would need. Even their paperwork is very organized and thorough and they threw in some nice little extras like a fridge magnet and magnetic shopping list notepad. I have found the company that I will be using for all of my heating, air and plumbing issues from now on. I appreciate their hardwork, professionalism and quick response. Their honesty, integrity and ability to make you feel at ease are unmatched. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. Truly and impressive bunch.

Overall, I wasn't too pleased. He got the job done, but for what he actually performed I still had to pay $120. All he did was tightened the screw. I paid $120 to tighten the screw.

Perfect in all respects. We will definitely keep our service contract with Service Plus

It did not turn out well. The plumber that came out had put a camera in to see if there was anything blocking the pipe. He told us there was a blockage and we opened it up and it had no block.

Due to the 4-hour scheduling window the company uses, I scheduled for the first appointment of the day at 8:00 a.m. The plumber arrived at 9:15. When I inquired, why he had not arrived at 8:00 a.m., he advised that he had arrived at the office at 8:00, per his normal schedule. After diagnosing the problem, the plumber told me that he did not have the equipment on his truck to unclog the pipe. I asked if he had been aware of why I had scheduled a plumber, he told me yes, but that he was new and his truck was not fully equipped. So he had to leave to acquire the appropriate equipment and then returned and unclogged my sink drain. He left at 11:15, over 3 hours to perform a job that took less than 15 minutes to pcomplete. It is obvious that the office scheduling staff do not understand what in actuality happens in the scheduling of the plumbers. Secondly, the office should not send a plumber for a specific job when he does not have the rpoper equipment to fix the problem. The company inconvenienced me, requiring me to remain at my house until 11:15, when I should have been able to leave by 9:00. This company has untrained staff, and is not properly organized nor equipped to provide professional service.

The guy that came out tried to sell me a new furnace and their price was through the roof. The inspection was fine.

I contacted Service Plus to have my HVAC systems inspected. I purchased my home less than a year ago, so these systems were checked out recently by an inspector. Additionally, my home is less than ten years old, so I didn't anticipate any major issues. The Service Plus technician came to my home and was prompt and professional. He informed me that there was no reason to clean any of my systems - they all needed to be completely replaced. It could die at any day, he said. He made this seem like a very urgent issue. He said that replacing these systems could cost anything between $8,000 and $15,000. I was VERY surprised by this information, as I was having no issues with the systems at all. To this day, there are no issues. I got a second opinion immediately. This company, which has been used by my parents for a number of years, send a technician out that very day. He looked at everything and had a very different opinion. He said that the furnace was certainly older (9 years), but that it was in fine shape. He said the rest of the systems, particularly the air filtration system, could be cleaned and definitely did not need to be replaced. Although I understand that different technicians will have different opinions, I cannot imagine such a vast difference. I reached out to Service Plus to express my concerns. They were very helpful and offered me a full refund. This may have been an isolated incident, but I would definitely recommend getting a second opinion if any of their techs suggest astronomically expensive repairs.

Ghost flushing and water waste for several months led to this repair call. This repair required three visits. On the first assessment visit we talked about the options, either rebuild the tank or replace the toilets. Replacement was too expensive so the rebuild was the better option. When I scheduled this appointment I was told no problem fixing my toilets but in reality Kohler toilet parts weren't stocked so the first visit ended. My original appointment time was 12-5, but it was refined to 3-5. The plumber arrived at 6:30 making it very difficult to coordinate work and dinner. The second appointment took a week to the get tank parts in stock and come back to my house. It took two hours to rebuild one tank on top of the arrival at 9:15 (even though I was the first appointment of the day). I had to stop the process as it was taking too long. So a third visit with arrival at 8:30 ended at 9:30 with the last tank rebuild. There was a lot of hard water build up and the plumber was very patient to work to loosen the bolt at the bottom of the tank. The second appointment arrival time at 9:15 was difficult to accept. That coupled with the difficulty in getting parts for a Kohler toilet led to the B grade. It would seem the schedule process should ask more questions to avoid repair calls without parts in stock.
