Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

A technician checked the drain. It was a 10 minute process. I purchased the service plan for another $110. I haven't had the service performed yet.

Steve was very nice; he examined the drain, and poured water in to test it. However, he could not find anything wrong. I appreciate his honesty. I only had to pay for service call.

They are very good. They do good work and they stand behind their work.

The service went, the job was completed as desired quickly. We had to Spend more on a service plan we didn't need, but was the only way to get a fair price.

Background: Service Plus replaced my furnace in early February 2014 at a total cost of over $6,000. At the time they replaced my furnace, they asked about replacing the air conditioner. Since I had not had issues to date with the air conditioner, I declined. The most recent contact with this provider was to analyze what was wrong with my air conditioner. I contacted them because I was to get a discount since I had purchased my furnace from them. The technician arrived on time and presented himself professionally. We spent a little time discussing the issue and then he started looking at the system. He noticed right away that my air filter needed to be changed (it was one that was supposed to last 3 - 6 months and was on month 4). He then noticed my air conditioner coils inside the house had frozen over (and were leaking). He spent time thawing those out to determine the cause of the freezing. He looked at the outside unit as well and stated those coils had a leak too and that freon was low. Any of the issues he identified could be the reason for the freezing unit. Because the unit is 16 years old, he recommended replacing the system. I asked for him to provide the quote, along with detailed notes on what he found was wrong during his visit. I went for a 2nd opinion based on the cost I paid for my furnace that I have heard repeatedly was far too much. The quote he provided for replacing the air conditioner was right at $6000 (which he told me was $4000 less than he had quoted to a customer earlier that day. Unprofessional!) The 2nd provider evaluated my air conditioner and clearly explained my options when looking to fix this system and the associated costs. After evaluation, I determined to go ahead and replace the air conditioner. His quote was $2500 less than Service Plus. I felt the need to write this review to encourage anyone who uses Service Plus to get a second opinion. I feel that I was taken advantage of earlier this year with my furnace purchase and that it almost happened again with my air conditioner replacement.

The service provider was thorough in pointing out any concerns, and flushed the water heater as expected.

We have to contact the company to find out when the technician would beer arriving. It took several phone calls back and forth to find this out. It's actually the technician notified us that he was going to arrive later than estimated time. After the work was complete we noticed that there were some water leaking underneath the sink. When we examined it, we discovered that the trap was not securely reattached and caused water to leak underneath our sink and through our wood kitchen floor.

We were happy with them. We were very lucky. We have a second house and our kids rent it. It was actually leaking carbon dioxide. We were very fortunate that the furnace kept shutting down and they kept restarting it. They told me what the problem was. We were very lucky that we didn’t have a fire or the kids didn’t die in their sleep. When he came he told that we had to shut this thing completely down. We had to put a whole new one in. They did the financing for us. They were very good. They came when they were supposed to. We were pleased with them. It was a big deal purchase.

The experience went fine. They were responsive, and they were able to help us quickly. We called a couple of other people who said they couldn't see us for half a week or more. They were there the same day or the next day, and then they installed the system the day after that. It was middle of summer, and our air conditioning went out. The price seemed a little expensive to me, but I didn't do any comparison.

The Service Plus technician was prompt and friendly. He came prepared and was able to quickly diagnose the quick-cycling issues with my furnace and determine that a replacement was ultimately needed. While the service was good, the bid they offered for replacement was several thousand dollars higher than all the other quotes I received for very similar equipment (i.e. same features and relative efficiency). I would have no problem referring Service Plus for a tune-up or cleaning, but I would suggest you look elsewhere for installation.

I didn't need a replacement and they were up front about that and did not charge me for work that didn't need doing.

Really well. They had the best price originally but couldn't come up with one of the critical parts for several weeks. We negotiated that they would fix the blower motor (enough that we had heat) until the heat exchanger could come in. They did that, and then replaced the entire unit when the exchanger came in. They did not charge ANYTHING for the blower motor (quoted at $500 by another HVAC company). They were helpful, creative, generally on time, very cost effective, and got the job done. Very happy campers here!

Our water line leading to the water heater sprung a leak and was gushing water into our basement at 10:00 pm. The shut-off valve near the pipe would not turn off all the way so we had to shut down all the water in the house. We called several companies, two of which installed the plumbing & water heater for our newer home. Neither would come out until the next day or longer. We logged into Angie's List and reviewed the plumbing companies with great ratings. We found Service Plus to have an excellent record and we now know why. The phone receptionist was very friendly and helpful. She immediately called the on-call plumber. He phoned us back within 5 minutes to get the details of the issue. He was at another call but made it to our house within 45 minutes. He found that we had a crimped ring around a value that had split open. He replaced a very small area of pipe and two pex rings. It was fixed in a matter of 15-20 minutes. He was very professional and helpful. He was there less than 45 minutes. He showed us exactly what had happened and explained what he was doing in order to fix the problem and replace the rings with a better quality one. We would recommend this company to anyone needing plumbing services, especially after-hours! They have wonderful customer service from beginning to end. Although you do pay an up-charge for after-hours services, when you are without water on a work/school night, it was very, VERY, reasonable and worth every penny.

They did an excellent job. The problem was more complex than a line clearing but they examined the problem, made recommendations and solved a long term issue. Thank you - Would do business again with them.

Due to busy schedule tech arrived half houre late but took care of the issue properly.

There were no troubles with scheduling. They cleaned up well after the work was complete. The service with them was fine.

At times had blocks in 2 of the Toilet Flush ,so saw this deal and got it. Professional showed on time, inspected and briefed and explained us about the sporadic blocks due to the age and the set up. Provided nominal quotes for replacements. Also they performed Winter time tune up for Heater and Water Heater. We had gas fire place , which was not used since we bought the house, we got the connection a sometime before, however was not sure ,how to switch on the fireplace. The service professional guided us, what the components and what needs to be done and helped to put it in pilot and get it on.. Overall , we were happy with their service.

On Friday 5/30/2014 Chris came by and did the initial visit. He said he wanted to speak with me on Saturday about the choices and do an estimate. 30mins before the appt he called and left a message that one kids needed to go to the immediate care center and that would email the estimates..being parents we were cool with that. I called and I left a detailed message with our email address. Monday came and we still hadn't heard from him. My wife called and he was on a job..he said that he emailed us the information but it must have went to wrong address...so my wife gave it to him again. Yesterday I decided to review some F ratings...I found a poor service pattern that our experience was fitting into "no call, no response". As of 6:55 pm June 4th there has been no response through any channel. Great job building trust and then failing. I am done waiting and now I don't trust his diagnoses of the compressor. After I finish informing my followers on Twitter and friends on Facebook. I will move on to share the bad news with my clients. Sorry Chris, my wife was very impressed and it was all for not.

Was quick and efficient. Discussed service plan with company and assisted me with finding the least expensive method to pay for visit utilizing Angie's List and it's various options. Courteous.

My furnace was out and I had called them to come and check on the unit. It was after 5pm when I initially called and they came out within two hours. I feel that their price was comparable to others. They were able to install the unit the next day after they came out for the diagnosis. They arrived when they said they would and completed the job in the time frame they estimated. A couple weeks after they completed the work, the outside unit had a chip in it that froze. They were responsive and came out quickly. They had to order the part, but it came not too long from then. Ever since then, everything has been fine. I am happy with the service they provided.

I was suppose to get the "first morning Call" which i assumed would be closer to 8 but it was almost 9. I wasn't sure why he arrived so late which made me reschedule my own appointments for the morning. Although the technician did a good job, I didn't receive a lot of feedback. I guess i was a little disappointed as the last technician I had from this company was extremely helpful and went above and beyond explaining what my system needed and even ordered filters for my odd shaped furnace. He was tidy and friendly but would have liked him to be earlier and more efficient.

Fortunately, Brian, with Service Plus was the plumber sent to diagnose the issue and recommend the solution. Being a long-time custom builder of high-end residential homes in the Indianapolis area, I frequently found Brian on many of my more complex projects so was very knowledgeable of his plumbing experience and skills. In the past, he performed whole-house plumbing rough-ins and finishes which demands attention to every detail. He did the great job on this repair and is one of the best. I rate Brian A+ and because Service Plus had the where-with-all to hire him, I have to give them an A.

The SP worked with the tenant at the residence to schedule and complete the work. They were on time and low hassle.

Went fine. Confirmed that our plumbing system was in good condition.
