Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

I have been very happy with Service Plus HVAC. This was the first time using their plumbing services. I was in a pinch to get this done because we were moving and I had family coming into town. It was not the first slab leak that's occurred at this house. My neighbor and I (mostly my neighbor) fixed the last one so I know a thing or two about these. This one was a little different in that water came up around the pipe and caused some water damage. However, that was handled by 1-800 Water Damage of Greenwood, which the Service Plus plumber called in, and was billed for separately (they were great). Overall, I can't say anything bad about the service that was performed. They were friendly, professional, and fixed the leak well. That being said, for what I would estimate was about 6 hours of work for 2 people (1 sr and 1 jr), the price was $2400. It's really not rocket science to jackhammer up a small amount of concrete, cut out a section of pipe and replace it, and then mix up a bag of concrete to put back in the hole. That price did include a leak detection subcontractor coming onsite just to verify the site of the leak. That person spent an hour onsite blowing compressed air in the pipes to verify the location of the leak. I think it was partially priced the way it was because they knew I was going to file with insurance and insurance pays for all but the actual copper pipe repair ($200). Service Plus HVAC isn't the cheapest either, but I've always had top notch service and the price/service ratio has been good. This price was outrageous and I am unlikely to use Service Plus Plumbing in the future.

They came out the same day and fixed a drain component. Generally, it was a good overall experience.

The technician was on time both times (when he came to look at the problem, giving me the estimate and explaining my options) and also when he came to do the service. He need to cut the drain pipe in two places and cap off the old drain.

It turned out fine and they were on-time, professional and polite. They did everything they said they would. They were able to come out to fit my schedule. The technician showed me everything he was talking about . I’ve already referred them to some of my friends. Our furnace was making a loud noise before they came out and it hasn't made the loud noise since.

Would use them in the future if they had a deal I needed. Professional people just did not need deal.

They cleaned and inspected the HVAC system. They were on time and provided a good service for the value.

Went very smoothly. At first we thought that some of the plumbing would need to be rerouted so they brought an extra person. In the end it was a very easy remove the old water heater and slide in the new one. Appreciated that they anticipated the worst and was prepared to deal with it on the first trip.

Was very helpful in finding and detailing our problem.

Beware this company! Our shower leaked from the drain onto the ceiling below leaving a 3" hole in the ceiling. Don from Service Plus arrived at 3:30 p.m and determined that the drain was the problem. He said it would cost $1,250 to fix it. I was surprised at the price, having expected to pay a few hundred dollars. He said it was a very complicated and risky job that could easily go wrong, that the shower tray was easy to crack, and that removing the tray, tile and glass shower walls was a possibility. He said that this was the book rate for this job and that in his 20 years of experience this price was the normal. Then he talked me into getting a service contract that I didn't need in order to get the job discounted, bringing it to $1,100. I agreed to it, expecting the work would take several days to be that expensive. He cut a 12" square hole in the ceiling around the leak, took out the old brass drain, went to the office to get a replacement PVC drain, and installed that, finishing before 6pm. I am very unhappy with this experience feeling that I was intimidated into paying an exorbitant price! I will not use the service contract! I called another highly rated company, Roby's, for a second opinion. They said they would have charged $497.00 for the same job, also a book rate.

It didn't go very well. I had a leaking valve and they came out to quote me over $100 to fix it. I thought I'd get a second opinion, and I'm glad I did. Another company that came out realized it was just loose! They had totally misdiagnosed the problem! They also said they would call me back for other pricing options, and they never did. I'd absolutely never use them again.

Austin, called about 20 minutes before he was going to arrive to let me know when he'd be here. He was on time, explained everything clearly and took care of the clog within 5 minutes. They are definitely expensive, so the $50 coupon they had on here was definitely a plus.

Both men were extremely courteous and professional. They did the work that I had paid for with the deal, and then some (with the camera evaluation and estimate).

I was able to be accommodated same day service. Our hose blew off under sink causing flooding and disarray in our kitchen. We were offered two options of replacement hoses which was appreciated. We opted to take the more expensive replacement. I was able to use a 50.00 printed coupon for any plumbing repairs the day of service. We were informed of whereabouts and when they would arrive. Austin was professional and knowledgeable about his craft. Overall, We were pleased with our entire service experience.

I misunderstood the deal. Thought it was for inside drain. I was told, very politely, by the company that this was an outside drain clean only. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Thanks for your help.

Service was very good. Tech was prompt & courteous. Work quality was very good (with one small exception). Cost was about what I expected. All in all, a favorable outcome to a plumbing adventure.

Had low water pressure and called 3 providers with high ratings from Angie's List. Service Plus was the first to call us back and also was able to come out by 9:00 AM the next day. Brian was able to diagnose the problem and give my wife and I a couple options to consider. Due to their financing options, we decided to replace our water heater with a 10-year no hassle warranty. They were able to accommodate our schedule and they could have installed the water heater the same day. The service was done two days later by another technican (Dean). Dean was also courteous and was able to tell us what he was going to do and what we should expect during and after the installation. He also suggested upgrading our shut off lever for the cold water to make it easier on us in case of a water emergency. We were pleased with our first experience with Service Plus and will definitely consider them for future needs.

After having our line scoped last spring, we were hoping not to have to have it replaced, but unfortunately it had to be done. It was a messy job, but they made every effort to minimize the mess. The team was professional and thoughtful, going beyond our expectations. We would definitely use them again.

The plumber who can and preformed the water heater flush was very professional and friendly. He explained everything he did and why. He also checked out other areas of concern and provided me expert advice. very well done.

They cleaned out a line from our house to the street. They arrived within the time frame specified. They did a very good job.

These guys are great. They made the appointment very quickly and followed through with the service. They called 30 minutes before the service and were very helpful. They completed the service and made some great suggestions as to how to improve my plumbing.

Punctual, seemed professional. After the routine service/maintenance call, they noted a few problems with our fairly new furnace (2.5yrs. old). We contacted two other companies to verify the problems, and both service calls revealed no problems at all. We won't be using them in the future.

Austin Metzler was the plumber dispatched to our home, first on the evening of July 23, when he attempted to remove the clog in the drain. Unfortunately, that was not successful. He explained what the next plan of action would be. He returned the next morning, and cut out a section of the old pipe and replaced it with PVC pipe. Austin was very courteous and pleasant, he explained everything that needed to be done and even told us what could go wrong (we live in a very old house with galvanized piping). Fortunately, all went well. I would highly recommend this company. If Austin is typical of their techs, this is a winning company.

They did an excellent job and we would use them again.
