Service Plus Heating Cooling Plumbing

I received a call around 7:30 a.m. asking if I would mind if the tech showed up earlier then my appointment time as his first appointment of the morning was cancelled. He was at my house within 45 minutes to perform the service. The tech was very professional and did a wonderful job. I ended up purchasing the contract agreement for them to come back in the Spring and again next Fall.

They arrived on time and focused on their tasks until all was complete. The installers were pleasant, informative, and professional. And, they completely cleaned up the area before leaving. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

The repair only took about 45 minutes to replace the valve.

I was originally given a window of 3pm to 6pm for the service, and David M. called me just before 3pm to tell me I would be his next stop, so he was very punctual. David was actually the last person to look at the furnace, and he recognized me and the house. He asked me a few questions, tested the unit, and couldn't reproduce the issue I was having, but he showed me what to look for the next time it happens. Then he quickly completed the routine maintenance on the unit and finished up. He wore shoe covers, so that he didn't track in any dirt--which I appreciate a great deal. After a little less than an hour, he had completed the check-up and he was on his way. This service call price was based on an Angie's List deal, but Service Plus pointed me toward the coupon. I thought that was great. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the future.

Service tech was Brian and he was very helpful, kind, and hard worker. I had a lot of little tedious things for him to do solve and he replaced a backup battery on my sump pump. He was very professional and worked hard. I have used Service Plus before in the past and will continue to use them. They are prompt and come out quickly when needed for emergencies.

He came to install a faucet. I spoke with the owner about the price while the service provider was there. They wanted to charge $350 to do the entire job. I requested that he leave after cutting the old faucet off because I didn't agree with the price.

I have had the service plan for about 2 years and have never had problems. They came out last Friday and told us that we had several things wrong with the furnace. They let us know that if these things weren't fixed that we could carbon monoxide leak into the house or even cause a fire. It just didn't sound right to me, so I wanted to get a second opinion. I called a second company out and he thoroughly went through the system and there was absolutely nothing wrong with my unit at all. And I am not the only one in the neighborhood that this has happened to. I had a neighbor that this same story line happened to and she got 2 other opinions and again nothing was wrong with her system at all. I think Service Plus is trying to run some sort of scam or something. At the initial appointment, the Service Plus technician showed my husband showed a picture of a rusty hole that was supposedly in our furnace. Our second opinion company didn't find anything like that at all. So my husband called Service plus back yesterday and wanted them to show him the rusty hole. The technician took things apart and couldn't find the hole. Then my husband walked away for a brief moment to answer a call. When he came back the guy had closed the furnace up and showed him the same picture on his cell phone and said "Look here it is..." but yet couldn't show my husband the actual hole on our furnace.

They did a terrible job. It was a very unnerving experience. My house is six years old, therefore the furnace is six years old. The technician said I needed a new inducer motor on my furnace. He said it needed replaced because it might fail on a freezing day and supplies are limited, so it may take a while to get one. I had two other companies come out and check my furnace, and neither one indicated I need a new inducer motor. I asked how much it would cost if I did need one, and there was also about a $600 difference between the quotes they gave me compared to this company. They also indicated to me that it wouldn't be an issue to get one quickly if I do end up needing to replace it.

I have breast cancer & kidney failure. I didn't think I could go another night without heat. We've had temps down to 22 degrees. Service Plus was very kind to me. They worked me in, even though they had a full schedule today. Kurtis was very efficient, knowledgeable, & professional. I might need a new blower in the near future. Tim was on time and called about 15 minutes out. he answered all my questions and was very friendly and professional.

We needed a tune up of our HVAC system as part of the agreement in the sale of our home. Service Plus was quick and responsive and we were able to schedule within the week of my paying for their service special. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained everything he planned to do for us. There were some issues that needed addressed as well and he presented me with all the options I needed to make a decision on what we would do to be most cost efficient for us. I have used Service Plus in the past and would recommend them again.

I made an appointment for Service Plus. They called the day before our appointment date, and they stated that they were only 15 minutes away from my house. I ended up meeting them at my home (the day before they were supposed to arrive). I paid Service Plus an extra fee so that they could use the drain camera to see what the problem was with my drain. I thought that the Service Plus repairman was very nice and courteous. He worked hard to get my drain clear. He ran into dirt and gave me a quote to have the sewer line replaced. I ultimately called another provider for another quote. They were able to fix the sewer line for several hundred dollars instead of several thousand dollars. I wouldn't recommend the $49 deal unless you are set on having ServicePlus do the work. It would have been much more expensive for me.

I have been having issues with all three toilets clogging. Before I started replacing toilets, I wanted a thorough evaluation of my sewer line to make sure I knew where the problem was. This deal seemed perfect to snake and use the camera to check things out. The plumber was prompt but he didn't have the camera. Said I'd have to schedule a second appt for that. The line seemed clear so the issue is either close to the toilets- past the Y he couldn't snake through...or he said there may be a dip/sag in the main line that a camera would have to diagnose. I still don't know about the plumbing on the other side of the Y- but sounds like I'll have to remove toilets for that. I probably would've paid more to truly figure out if I just have old toilets...but I'm still not sure. So- I feel like I answered part of my question - but didn't really get what I thought I was paying for. I don't have an easy schedule to schedule contractors around- so I don't want to mess with rescheduling the camera with them. The quote was $570 to replace each toilet- seems pretty high so I'll try to find a different route when I need to do 3 of them. They were prompt in getting me on their schedule- coming on a Saturday afternoon.

They did a good job, but like most companies that offer furnace cleanings, they always to tell you need new everything. In this case the furnace is about 11 years old, so that may be true. This upsale strategy has been my experience with EVERY HVAC company that I have ever used--at every house I have ever owned. The company and the technician were great though, and I would use them again.

Technician called to confirm his arrival time and was on time. Work was completed promptly and a written report provided. The Technician was professional and knowledgeable. I will use them again. I gave them only a "Good" on price as it was in line with others; but not exceptionally low.

This was the plumbing inspection portion of the three part $99 maintenance service plan Service Plus offers. This is the first time I have had a plumbing inspection. I originally had this appointment scheduled earlier in the month, but due to the length of time it took the technician to finish jobs ahead of my appointment, Service Plus contacted me to see if I wanted to have the service later in the day or re-schedule and receive another years AC,Heating and Plumbing Service at no cost. I chose to re-schedule. When the technician arrived he went over exactly what he was going to do. I was able to follow him around and ask questions during the service. I am very pleased with the professionalism of the all the technicians as well as the office staff at Service Plus. I highly recommend Service Plus for your house's system service.

I apologize. I did not have a furnace service with you. It was another provider, Chris. I believe I queried you about some plumbing work I need done. I'm not sure why I was able to leave you a review and I'm sure you can't keep up with everyone your company services. Please accept my apologies. I will see if AL can remove this review, but if now I just want to be sure people know it was my mistake.

This is our second year in their service plan. The price was good relative to similar providers, and they were rated well on Angie's List, so we felt comfortable using them. Each time they have looked at our furnace, they told us they found "several issues that need addressed soon. Recommend replacing system." We let it pass last year, but this year were considering getting a new unit because they kept indicating it needed major repairs that would cost nearly as much as a new system. We called a second provider out for an estimate to compare before making such a large purchase. He said the system was running great. We then called a third provider, who also said the system was running well and that the cleaning Service Plus did on the unit was not thorough. Needless to say, we feel completely scammed by Service Plus and will not be using them in the future. I am very disappointed.

Everything went very smoothly . He called 20 minutes ahead of his arrival. Thomas wore shoe protectors the entire time he was in the house. Their service maintenance annual contract is an excellent deal that includes 2 annual visits and a plumbing inspection.

The provider was scheduled to show up (i believe around noon) but didnt end up getting there until almost 3. granted they did call me saying they would be late, so i asked them to give me a 45 minute heads up before their arrival so i would have time to leave work and get home. He called me when he was 15 minutes away from my house. my fiance let him in, and he started at work, without talking to me to find out what the problem actually was. he started to plunge the toilet without paying attention to the fact that the toilet was loosened from the flange, or trying to find out why water was leaking in the first place (why put more water into a line that is known to leak) and caused more toilet water to run into our basement. The most annoying part of this was, the toilet did not need plunged at all. there was an open drain upline from the clog for the water softener in the basement utility closet, this open drain was just pouring all of the water out of any drain in the master bathroom. finally after about an hour, he decided to snake the toilet drain, costing $350. he then told me that it would be another 300 dollars to set the toilet (absolutely outrageous!) the parts to set a toilet only cost 15 dollars tops, and it only takes about 15 minutes. I had him leave the toilet in the middle of the bathroom and ended up buying a brand new, higher end toilet and set it myself for $300 (the same price they wanted just to set the toilet)

Tim was the service technician from Service Plus. He put shoe covers on each time he entered my home. While he was working in my garage on my furnace, I took the time to talk with him. He was very patient, taking the time to thoroughly answer my questions and bring to my attention problems I might encounter this coming winter with a 13-year old furnace and he gave me the option of choosing to replace it now or play it by ear. He showed me how to properly put my furnace filter in and the best kind of furnace filter to purchase (not the one I've been using since I had this furnace installed). He explained why and the pros and cons of the type of filter I was using and recommended two options for me to look for the next time I purchase a furnace filter. We talked about the benefits of purchasing the right size furnace for my condo and he discussed the different brands and advantages and cost savings of each. He appreciated my taking an interest in how my furnace worked and pointed out safety features related to my furnace that I should check. I've been lucky each time I would remove the cover to my furnace to date to change the filter, because a safety feature was covered with tape from previous technicians that I didn't know about. He removed the tape and explained that I was lucky, because I could have gotten a sleeve and my arm caught in the fan due to this safety feature being taped over, not allowing it to work properly. I learned a lot just by watching Tim work and asking him questions. He was thorough and worked methodically.

It's been 2 winters and no problems with the furnace. still very happy with the work.
