It has been a nightmare and it isn't over yet. It's been 3 weeks and I still don't have operable garage doors. The installer might show up at 8am, 10am, noon, 1pm or not at all - you never know and he may or may not call to let you know. He stays until 9-10pm on the days he does show up. I can't figure out what he is doing and why it isn't complete by now. He smokes and fills our non-smokers home with cigarette smoke. Yesterday he fried one of the outlets in the garage - the one that our sump pump is plugged into. Now I need to call an electrician to fix that before he'll complete the job.
Now the siding nightmare. Thankfully, it is over. Sears was given 3 telephone numbers to call, but when the siding guys showed they didn't call to let us know they would be starting so we could unlock the gate on our privacy fence. /The locked gate didn't stop them - they busted the gate latch to get into the back yard. When they got to the front of the house, they cut the wiring on our doorbell.
I called Sears repeatedly to voice my concerns and issues like smoke in the house, nobody ever calling us even though they have 3 numbers to call, the busted gate, inoperable doorbell, etc. They would say they would look into it and call me back. They didn't seem to be doing anything about it and they never would call me back. I finally spoke with a third gentleman at Sears and he was able to get the gate and doorbell fixed, but then the siding guys had my daughter, who just returned from school so she jus t happened to be at the house when they came by, to sign off on the siding. I already see some issues that need taken care of, but they had her sign off.
I contracted with Sears October 10 in hopes that we would be able to have new garage doors by the time winter hit. Now I'm not sure we'll have them until sometime in January.

The salesman explained the different type of furnaces of the different models they had. He also explained their capabilities and efficiency. The experience was good with the except that they had installed the wrong thermostat. After calling them, they came back and installed the correct one.

THE INSTALLER SHOWED UP RIGHT ON TIME AND GOT RIGHT TO WORK. THE WORK SEEMS GOOD AND THE PRICE WAS REASONABLE. WATCH OUT FOR THE BRACKETS! MY HOUSE HAD A OVERHEAD DOOR COMPANY DOOR AND I NEED A 40 BUCK BRACKET. THE INSTALLER SAID THE SEARS GUY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME ABOUT IT, HE DIDN''T, AND I HAD ASKED HIM TO COMPARE THE TWO.
