Old concrete was removed with a small excavator in about half an hour, no jack-hammer noise for hour after hour. I had the new sidewalk installed 8" close to the house than the old one to eliminate interference with a well head the interfered with the old walkway so some extra excavation was needed. The forms were put in place the same afternoon as the demolition of the old concrete. On the next day concrete came at noon, which was the earliest he could get it delivered. Pouring was completed by the contractor and one assistant in about 45 minutes, finishing, edging and tooling took about 2 hours. The two men took about an hour for an afternoon lunch and then came back to roll on sealer/curing compound and then to strip off forms, clean up and back fill along walkway sides. All in all, an excellent job at a very reasonable price.
