Our technician was Dave Crocco. He was very professional, polite and respectful of all the areas he worked in. He took the time to explain to us why our old sump pump failed, how the new one was different and gave us a complete walk-through on the new back up system and operation. He cleaned up everything and made sure that we were happy and understood everything he did. My first impression on the price was that it was a little high, but I am not a plumbing expert and given the emergency we were in, I could not complain. Dave was great. Overall, a great experience. It's one of those situations that there work was so good that we might not ever have to call them again for hits problem.

I contacted only Angie's List A-rated businesses for estimates/bids. Roby's bid was $502, before my $20 Angie's List discount. This was less than half the estimate from another Angie's List A-rated company! I got the estimate on a Friday and the work was done the following Tuesday. I strongly recommend getting estimates/bids from more than one company, as pricing can vary enormously even among similar (i.e., Angie's List A-rated) firms. The plumber, Rick, was prompt, courteous, affable, and efficient. He thoroughly explained what he was going to do, and he did it well and quickly. The work did not take as long as I had thought it would, because Rick employed some techniques and components which are the result of fairly recent advances in plumbing technology.

Plumber was cordial and punctual. However, I thought that the price was excessive. Perhaps I'm out of touch?

They cleaned up after themselves. It was a great experience. We would definitely use them again. The gentleman that came was very courteous and prompt about arriving when he said he would. He took the amount of time he said that he would take. He told us if we had any questions or problems to feel free to call him.

Of course, Thanksgiving day, my kitchen sink stopped draining. Thankfully, my mother lives nearby and we salvaged the day by preparing the bird at her house - with her functional kitchen sink. Since we had plenty of leftovers, I opted to wait until Monday to request a service call. I did, however, visit your website to select a plumber on Sunday and left an email detailing my problem. At 8:00AM on Monday, I received a call from Roby's, and they were able to send a repair tech that very day. Problem happily solved.

They did the job quickly, on time and the guy was as nice as he could be! He was in and out in about 10 minutes.

Dave was very professional and efficient. He took the time to answer all of our questions. Did not try to give us the hard sell on anything. Our water softener had to be temporarily removed in order to do the work. When he installed the water heater and reinstalled our water softener, he put them in positions that make them more accessible in the utility closet. He advised us that since we had a softener, it was not necessary to pay someone to flush the water heater.

The service technician was prompt. He was very polite & courteous. He explained up front the cost involved. He worked quietly & efficiently. He only turned the water off for the time that was necessary for the two faucet repairs. The repaired plumbing is now working perfectly.

I emailed this company on a Saturday evening (I have not used them before, but got their name from Angie's List). On Monday morning at 8:00am my phone rang and it was the company. Had my schedule allowed it they could have come that day but I had conflicts so we set up an appointment for Tuesday morning. I was called Tuesday morning and was told that the repair man was on his way (helpful for me in scheduling) and he showed up exactly on time. He was courteous and went to work immediately. Both the sink and the toilet were repaired and the issues explained to me, which I appreciated. He had completed the work as well as identifying and demonstrating to me a problem with the half bath that will need attention so that further problems do not occur in less than 2 hours. Mr. Buck not only was efficient and effective, but he was polite and courteous and made a dreaded plumbing issue humorous - how you make plumbing funny was a mystery to me, but Mr. Buck did!

A word of advise....do your own research before making a big decision!

Five-year old A.O. Smith water heater began leaking and was not heating water on Monday. Phoned Roby's in afternoon and they scheduled someone to come out the next morning. Service person said the water heater would need to be replaced because of a busted seam in the unit. Indicated price would be $600 to replace with like model. He then offered to install a Rheem water heater for $1400 as a "lot of people say it is a better water heater". My wife remembers better things better than I do and I attempted to contact her by phone about the situation. Unfortunately, I could not reach her and I recalled incorrectly the amount we paid for the water heater installed by Roby's five years previously. I thought that we had paid much more than we actually paid. So, even though I thought $600 was exorbitant for a labor charge, I okayed the job. Yes, the amount charged was only supposed to be for labor since the water heater was still under warranty. I take blame for agreeing to the job and not getting other quotes. It's my fault for being an uniformed and trusting consumer in this case. When I finally got hold of my wife hours after the water heater was installed I felt lousy when she told me that we only paid about $800 for Roby's to install the other water heater just five years ago. That was for the unit and labor. So, the $600 charge really put knots in my stomach. I contacted Roby's about the matter and the office manager said there was a mistake in the billing amount and that he would refund $100. When I tried to get a bigger refund he launched into speech about how honest the company was and how long they were in business. Believing that the $100 refund was on the line I did not push the issue and ended the call quickly. I spoke to Brad Roby a few weeks later and he would not reimburse me any additional money either. So, my final cost for labor to replace a 5-year old water heater was $478 ($598 - $100 refund - $20 Angie's List coupon). This experience really soured me on Roby's because it seems like the service man has discretion to get whatever price he thinks the homeowner can afford or is willing to pay. It also bothered me that the service person offered to replace the unit with a Rheem for $1400 even though the current unit was under warranty and supposedly all I had to pay was labor charges. Water heaters are water heaters. The Rheem is no different than the A.O. Smith. I think it is dishonest to try and sell someone a new unit when the old unit is under warranty. The service guy also made some other remarks about tankless water heaters and sump pumps that I found ridiculous. Please learn from me and try to get multiple quotes for plumbing issues (good luck in getting a free estimate though).

Everything went well, they fixed my sink.

I contacted Roby for an estimate via email during the weekend and received a phone call from them first thing Monday morning. I was very pleased with their prompt response and professionalism. However, their quoted prices were not very competitive when comparing them to hardware stores like Sears, Home Depot, or Lowes.

Excellent service. We called in the morning, expecting to have someone come out later and check out the work. They had someone available immediately; the serviceman (westside office) arrived within an hour of the call, provided an estimate and the toilets were installed the same day. He did a great job.

We are redoing the kitchen. Dave showed up to give an estimate. I had sticker shock, but after I thought it over, it was reasonable. I said, let's to it; Dave had the time to go ahead and do it now. As he was doing the job, we were talking about other tasks that I would be doing for the project; offering free advice with regards to old plumbing hardware for the faucets and dishwasher that I knew would need to be replaced. After he finished, with the gas task, I asked him what it would take to fix the old plumbing hardware. He ended up taking care of that too! I would have taken the better part of the day to take care of the old plumbing hardware, where he took care of it in no time! He's a plumber - I'm not.

Dave was very detailed in explaining the price of the job. He conducted himself in a very professional and friendly manor. The complete job only required about 45 minutes and it was done. Yes, I would recommend this company to others and I will use them again in the future if needed.

They show up on time and they always give you the price before they start their work. They are an honest company and the quality of their work is very high.

Their prices are competitive with other companies, and the quality of work is very high. They are very trustworthy and they usually send the same technician out to our house. I would highly recommend them.

Roby came out to change the wax ring to fix this issue. It had not been taken care of in a previous job. They arrived on time, they left the area clean, did the work well, and I would recommend them.

It was excellent. They came out to give an estimate and the price was so reasonable that I went ahead and had them do the work the same day. The technician was very polite and professional.

Awesome! I called on a Thursday for a quote and they came on Friday. They were about an hour late, but called when they were 30 minutes late to let us know they were coming. I was mowing when they came and they noticed my push mower kept trying to cut out. They commented that I should check the filter. I asked where it was and they showed me where to look. The filter was completely worn out and I went and got a new one, saving me the time and cost of taking the mower to be looked at. It took them all of 30 seconds, but saved me a lot of time and $$. Now that's a full service plumber. :)

Repair was completed satisfactorily, but I felt the cost of the repairs was quite excessive.

They showed up on time. They were very clean. They got the job done quickly. They have very reasonable prices. We have used them a couple of times and have always gotten good service.
