Roby's Plumbing

I have used this company out of the Anderson office for years. They cost a little more than some but they do excellent work. But this time they failed me. On the Saturday following Thanksgiving, I had no water. Saturday is supposed to be one of their work days but the recording declared it to be a major holiday. Not only did I have to go through their answering service, they were going to charge a $100 holiday fee. I chose a different service for this particular problem. In future, I will use Roby's again for ongoing plumbing needs, but they need to rethink saying the Saturday after Thanksgiving is a major holiday!

I can't remember the date I sent the email but it was sometime in October. I had sent an email to this company and they never responded to discuss having some plumbing done. We had used them in the past and since I am usually tied up on my phone through my work email was a better option for me.

Everything went fine. They were quick to come out. It didn't take them very long to repair the toilet.

I was extremely satisfied with the purchase and installation. The technician was punctual, professional and thoroughly explained the work and product. I bought a more expensive water heater than originally planned with better insulation and was provided a form for a $100 rebate from Vectren so the final cost will be the same. The water heater works great and will definitely use this company again.

The guy pulled out the pea trap (?) under the sink and cleaned it out. Made it look easy but it would have taken me all day. Cost $129 minus $20 saved with Angie's List Coupon. Very expensive but the cost of my own stupidity and convenience. I was very happy with the super- fast response and professionalism.

The plumber came and I was unsure of the faucet that I chose. He said that he would not charge me one thing for the visit. He said that if I wanted to change the faucet, I would have to use him. I kept the faucet, perfectly installed and he discovered another serious problem with my dishwasher line (which had broken three years ago and leaked a great deal of water-was fixed by another plumber using the same material and was in danger of breaking again) which he stayed late to fixed and used material material instead of breakable plastic. Overall it was outstanding quality service. Had Dave and will use this company for all future needs.

We had a small water leak from an upstairs bath appear on the ceiling of our 1st floor bathroom. The plumber first decided to cut a hole in the ceiling of the 1st floor bath only to discover no leaking pipes. He tossed the cut piece of ceiling board and left a hole for me to repair. This would have been much easier to repair if he had not tossed out the cut square of ceiling. He discovered the leak upstairs and repaired this. He also re-set two toilets that might have been leaking. About a month later, we still had a toilet leaking into our crawl space. The same plumber returned and insisted the leak was orginating from a toilet (#1) although I had looked and felt it was the other toilet (#2) that was the problem. The plumber reset the toilet 1 for no charge, and told me the problem was solved. A few weeks later we still had a leak and bad odor. I ended up calling another plumber who reset the #2 toilet and the leak was finally gone along with all the odor.

I made the phone call Monday (the 20th) to set up the appointment, and I had already had Roby's out last fall for a few maintenance issues, so all of my information was in their system (which was a big plus not to have to give them all of my information again). They were very flexible in working around my schedule and fitting me in the next day first thing in the morning. I was told someone would call between 8 and 8:30 and I was called at 8:15 and I believe it was Rob who came out to the house, and he let me know that he was on his way. He got there right around 8:40 and we discussed the problem, he took a look at the drain and made sure that there wasn't an issue with any of the other connected plumbing, then gave me the prices for the two courses of action and I told him whatever gets it unclogged. The work started immediately and the first less expensive option wasn't lodging the clog, so he had to pull out the machine to get it out. It took a few minutes, but he got it out without any problems and I got to see what the problem was. He checked to see if I needed anything else and then took out everything else to his truck, wrote up the bill, and called it in. We were done by 9:15, and I really appreciated how quickly and efficiently all the work was done.

Called and explained what I was needing. Within two hours had repairs made. The next day I had a small problem and they responded quickly to make adjustment. Very prompt and professional service with a 12 month guarantee.

A+ rating!!! Glad there are still companies like this out there!

I had a fantastic experience with this company.I called them at 10:15am while I was at an appointment. I was told someone could come to my house in the next hour with no charge for the quick service. Since I had workers in the house already I agreed to have the plumber come out.When I returned at 11:45 the work was completed and the plumber was packing up. He showed me the damaged pipe he had removed. As a bonus, he put the new spigot at an angle so we would be able to attach the hose easier. I had gotten another estimate so I knew the price was very reasonable. I wish all my repairs were this easy. I will use this company whenever I need help with plumbing. They were professional, courteous, and fast!

Our drains backed up into our basement late Sunday night. We left a message that night and received a call back first thing Monday Morning. Roby showed up Monday afternoon. We were given the pricing and the option of accepting or rejecting prior to the work. The plumber snaked out the line to the city sewer. They cleaned up after themselves. We even received a thank you card later in the week. We would recommend Roby to anyone.

It went great. I called Wednesday afternoon for an appointment on Friday and was accommodated. I have a 79-year-old house with original plumbing that once again needed to have repairs made to the hot and cold water shower faucet valves as they had developed a serious leak. Roby's has done quite a bit of plumbing work over the past several years for me. Kevin was once again able to effect a repair of the old plumbing parts which I greatly appreciated.

Rob did a great job and I was very satisfied!

Plumber arrived on time and completed work successfully in about one hour.

Unfortunately, he couldn't replace the water heater today (because the plumber supply stores are closed on the weekend). However, when we tried to empty the water heater, and the water continued to gush out the hose several hours later, we realized the shut-off valve wasn't working. He topped off the supply line to the water heater (the valve will be replaced when the heater is replaced) and gave us valuable advice concerning a possible warranty on the heater and concerning cleanup.

I will not call this company again. This is the second time we have called them for an emergency. The first time, they wouldnpt come out but explained to him what to do. If that didn't work, the comapany said to call back. Being turned off by that, we fixed the probelm ourselves. This time we called them and they didn't seem to want to come out. It was a Monday night and with kids we needed our toilets fixed. They told us to try a septic company. I will never do it again.

Rick was extremely helpful and professional. He made me feel comfortable that he understood the problem and gave me suggestions on how to deal with the stain in the ceiling that didn't require tearing it out and replacing it. Definitely would recommend this company to others.

Refused to give me a basic idea of cost of replacing water heater. Felt like they had to see how much they could "soak" me for before giving me an estimate.

They unclogged the sink and fixed the part in the toilet. Once the toilet was fixed, my water softener was more effect than it had previously been. They did a great job! They sent someone out the same day that I called. He was very thorough and I haven't had any problems since.

When Sears brought our new appliances, they discovered that they did not have the tools to hook up our gas stove. My husband grabbed the phone book and called Roby's since they had an East side location and we wanted to get our oven connected sooner than later. His experience with the person on the phone was very positive and Rick arrived at our house in less than 2 hours! Rick was very professional and not only did he perform the work well, but he was fast. He fixed all of the items that needed to be repaired from our home inspection and also checked out our water heater and told us that it would need to be replaced in about a year. We would definitely use Roby's again for any plumbing need and will be calling them to replace our water heater next year.
